“My husband and I used Katie as our baker for our wedding day. She was a dream to work with. She is a very talented baker, and made my wedding cake dreams come true. She took my inspiration and brought it to life. We ordered a cake for the two of us to cut, and then cupcakes for our guests. All of our guests raved about how good the cupcakes were. We ordered a chocolate cake, and it was the best chocolate cake we have ever had. I would highly recommend hiring Katie as your baker. You, and your guests, will not be disappointed!“

“I love the macarons from Sweet Velvet!! Usually I pick them up myself because I pass it every day, but I received two deliveries recently, one for Valentine's Day and one today! The exceptional care that is put into packaging the macarons and the smile that the delivery person has on her face when she hands you the box, makes deliveries extra special!!“

Since they have never steered me wrong yet I thought I'd give it a try.The place is DANGEROUS but I passed the first hurdle... The donut gallery!!! It's there to capture the weak and the greedy and also test your lack of self control...Then on to hurdle #2 the menu. I said I passed the first hurdle I didn't say I was a low fat plate... So I ordered the Belgian waffle and of course you have to have fruit here's the compromise instead of the pie filling i had the fresh strawberries and the light whipped cream ???. Link sausages and home fries.Now the third hurdle only eat half the waffle and half of the sausages (you can't reheat home fries in a office microwave ??? no matter what you try). SUCCESS #1Finally the last hurdle get out of the door without a donut or a dozen...YES YES YES SUCCESSFULLY DONE!!!Kid-friendliness: I saw a kid there and they tried to tempt me with the donuts“

“The best pretzel place in Central PA. Hands down. Made the old fashioned way. Really good flavor with the soft pretzels and the beer hard pretzels are amazing. Beats any of the chain pretzel store or corporate hard pretzel brand out of the water.“

“You can't go wrong with a visit to the Whirling Dervish. Every menu item is baked with love, and is delicious. There's something for everyone. They also have great locally-sourced coffee. My favorite is Cleona Coffee Roasters' special Gnome Man's Land blend. Becky & Heather are both absolutely lovely women, and they make the bakery warm and welcoming.“
