“Easter Sundays, my wife and I have been going to Schwalms Restaurant. The ham and turkey dinner specials are homemade and very delicious with plenty of sides to choose from with dessert, which reminded us of family meals with our parents and grandparents. Friendly atmosphere and great service too. They are family owned and operated and have been very kind and friendly to us through the years. They also serve a fantastic haddock dinner on Fridays as well as other dinner specials throughout the week. Their breakfast and lunch menu is very good too. Great place to relax and enjoy a delicious meal anytime of the day.“

“This place was SO busy, the 11 of us had to wait for 3 separate tables, but it didn't matter! 2 woman served the whole dining area with the help of a busser. They did a fabulous job. You definitely did not feel like the 50-75 or so other people were hindering the quality of service. Once we sat down, the service was shockingly pleasant and perfectly timed. The food came out fast, was hot and delicious! I ordered a broccoli, onion and cheddar omelet.“

“Small place...Big taste So it's not fancy or trendy but the nostalgic feel is real as is the old time comfy family service. The food excellent and most from scratch and really affordable. Took home pies from out of this world yummy! Past the place many times but not open. After a chilly hike to Bordner cabin (must see!) saw the diner open with a full lot but plenty of parking so we stopped. Will never pass again and plan on making 45 minute trip often and soon again! Easy stop for rts 81 and 22.“

“Each time I'm in Harrisburg, I go here to eat. I got the Rocky Mountain steak. It was delicious and cooked to order. Each time that I get it it is consistently delicious! I wish there are more potatoes because the steak is big. This time I had to eat my dinner cold and it was still tasty. I had the banana bread and the pumpkin bread. I went back on my way home to get more.“

“My girlfriend and I went there on word of mouth. Some friends and family told us about their roast beef sandwich with fries and gravy. so we went there and ordered it. They were telling the truth it was excellent. They told me the turkey and fries were good. So I know I'll be going there to try that too. If its anything like the beef it will be very good to. ?Parking: There's plenty of parking. When my girlfriend and I went to leave their were quite a few people in the dinner but still a lot of parking left.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no steps.“
