“I have a gluten allergy and the menu is very user-friendly for those who have to navigate those options. Haven't had general tsos chicken in YEARS and I was ecstatic to see that I was able to have a gluten free version. Absolutely delicious and will be going again soon.“

“Really great. I had the Chongqing spicy broth, wagyu, head on prawns, scallops, and lamb as my meats and went crazy in the self serve area. Great quality meats and vegetable selection. Broth was good, service was good. I had to wait for about 1 hour because you cannot make a reservation for a 2 top, but it was well worth it. I left completely satisfied for 40 dollars plus tax, no uncharged. Highly recommended.“

“We eat here occasionally and always make a meal of appetizers and dim sum. It was, once again, absolutely delicious, and our server was a delight, even suggesting adding a piece to some choices for an even split between us. My recommendations: edamame, dim sum sampler, tea-smoked spare ribs, rock shrimp bao buns, pork belly bao buns, Szechuan sour to drink, and dim sum doughnuts for dessert. On some visit, we'll have to branch out with our choices, but these are just so darn good.“

“Uniquely seasoned food served promptly and pleasantly. Outdoor seating is available in a private booth design that's very 'public' since it's on the sidewalk. The interior design is remincent of authentic Chinese culture with wooden dragons carved in the wall. You can sit at the bar or sit in the main dining area. The culinary delights are streamed, gluten free or lightly fried. The chilli sauce/oil is a nice surprise it's fragrant with a hint of perfume of anise, cardamom and clove, amongst other herbs, all smothered in oils and Sichuan pepper. I highly recommend this spot.“

“Sooooooo authentic. Little hole in the wall. Got the sweet tofu fa. Needed to ask for extra ginger syrup halfway through, so thats a tip if you're going to eat there. The tofu is so soft and tender. The syrup is perfectly "not too sweet". And its less than $4 for this small size...small being a whole pint! Loooooove!“

“This place is a gem . Don’t know why it wasn’t busy as hell when we went there because the service was great, the food was easily the best Chinese I’ve had in the city, and the portions were at least twice the size of any other place I’ve been to. Expect family style and leftovers . Orange chicken , hot and sour soup , scallion ginger shrimp and salt and pepper tofu are all perfected versions of themselves.“

“Came here on a Sunday for a late lunch and it was pretty empty inside and outside. I was excited to try the newer location - the menu looks to be the same at all of the Dan Dan locations. The food came out insanely quick (almost a little too quick) and was exactly how I expected it. I would rank the Dan Dan locations in this order for both food and service: 1) Center City, 2) Ardmore, 3) Wayne. The natural lighting was beautiful and there's a section that looks like a sunroom/patio situation. I would love to sit there next time.“

“My friends and I came to Philly for a day trip from MD! As soon as we reached the city, we came to Chuan Kee Skewer for lunch :)The service was really good with the workers greeting us with a smile and wishing us a happy lunar new year. The food also came out really fast!We ordered an assortment of skewers and non-skewer dishes, my favorite being the Taiwanese sausage and chicken wings! I also really loved the eggplant dish too with how soft and runny it is :) All of the food definitely hit the spot after the long travel! I’ll be sure to come back when I’m in the area!“

“202404The roasted duck grizzly bear is delicious. The skin of the duck roll is very fragrant. The whole duck roll is super refreshing. The duck soup is very rich and delicious. Other dishes recommend the pork liver and creamy garlic shrimp. The saliva chicken is also good. My travel companions love fermented fermented water spinach ⚠️The golden sand corn is not sweet! ! ! Can not accept! The overall food is quite delicious. But when I got home, I heard that many of the dishes are pre-made and microwaved. I don’t know if this is true or not?Cash discounts!“

“Super spicy - and I mean that as a bonus! We ordered everything "not too spicy" in accordance with a warning from some friends who, despite being very used to spicy flavors, told us that this place was on another level...and they were right! All delicious.“

“Since new Owner (Linda) has taken over this establishment, it has become my "go to sushi joint"!! Their sushi chefs (John & Yanni) are both amazingly talented and they have created custom sushi rolls for me according to my preferred fish and other ingredients. Presentation is awesome as is the freshness and tasty items they prepare. Linda and her Manager (Cindy) are so welcoming and very attentive to their guests...making everyone feel like a VIP!! Highly recommend this restaurant.“

“My family and I have been going here for probably over 2 decades and the food now is just as good as I remembered. This place is a small, family owned restaurant located deep in South Philly and serves amazing food. The most popular item here is the noodle soup and there are several variations on the menu. You can get the classic (pork) noodle soup (item #1 on their menu), combination of pork and some seafood (#2), egg noodles instead of rice noodles (#3-4), seafood noodle soup (#5), etc. I love this type of noodle soup because the pork based broth is so light, flavorful and comforting. Unfortunately, I don't get it very often at other Asian restaurants because it's never good anywhere else. This place does it the best and is the closest you can get to eating at someone's house. You can also order a side of fried dough to dip into the broth to soak up that yummy goodness. The spring rolls here are also very highly addictive with an insane level of crispiness. The other item I highly recommend (though my husband does not like it as much) is the beef fried with large noodles (#35). It's sliced beef and Chinese broccoli gravy over chow fun noodles and unbelievably delicious especially when paired with a drizzle of Sriracha. If you ever want to venture off the beaten path and try good, authentic Southeast Asian cuisine I'd highly recommend coming here to support this local family-owned business. I hope to come here for another 20+ years.“

The white table cloths and professional servers, on top of delicious authentic Chinese food makes going to Margaret Kuo's and exceptional experience...and then to have her husband ever present and see her in the dining room on the last night was super special! “They say you should never judge a book by its cover, and as an English teacher you'd think I'd respect the old adage, but after living in Point Breeze for 10+ years I finally tried the BEST Chinese takeout in the Breeze, maybe the city. It's the little things: green beans and carrots in the Hot and Sour Soup, nice, fried orange rind in the General Taos, at a takeout joint?! Homemade fried chili flake sauce with the dumplings, word. They're on Grubhub, do it.“

“I am closing in on 40 and have been coming to this restaurant since I was a small child, some of my earliest memories are family dinners at Da Chen. The staff here are amazing— kind, attentive, helpful, and generous. Their house made duck sauce and crispy fried wonton chips ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD. Do not sleep on them if you only ever order take-out! You receive the crispy wonton chips with any soup order, but you have to ask for their homemade duck sauce on the side (costs like 25¢ iirc)!!! My favorite foods from here are: wonton soup, their complimentary jasmine tea, shrimp toast, beef & broccoli, sweet & sour chicken, general tso’s chicken, pork fried rice, and the bao bao platter (it’s such a fun treat eating this for dine-in). You will always receive the same quality service and food here, and somehow over the years it’s even gotten better! Da Chen is child-friendly and has high chairs available to use, and is wheelchair-accessible straight from the ample free parking lot and into the restaurant. Da Chen accepts cash, debit or credit. Thank you Da Chen!! ?? ❤️Dietary restrictions: There are vegetarian and gluten free options hereParking: Da Chen has its own parking lot. It is free with plenty of space.Kid-friendliness: I have been coming here since I was an infant. Da Chen has high chairs available to use for toddlers and babies :)Wheelchair accessibility: Da Chen is wheelchair accessible, there is a ramp from the parking lot and inside the store is accessible.“

“Probably the best Cantonese food you'll find in the center city Philly area. The taste to price ratio is excellently high. The barbecue meats are the best here. If you go, definitely order them at least. Service was fine, don't really care as the food is excellent. Standard restaurant atmosphere nothing noteworthy.“

“Always enjoy the vibe and service at New Leaf. Enjoyed seating outside. Service was attentive, food was delicious. Always love their sushi. Eye pleasing, fresh and tasty. My favorite is always the salt & pepper squid. As good as what I've enjoyed in China town. I'm fact I think I like it better. Singapore noodles are always a go to. The surprise was the sweet and sour chicken. I've never had big meaty pieces of chicken for this dish. We were stuffed for our party of two when left. The best part, we can have leftovers today!“
