“Phenomenal restaurant with staff to match the vibe. Everyone here is super friendly, and even the staff that are new seem to hit the mark without jeopardizing customer satisfaction. I would like to mention that I had a large party of 13 people. We did not demand to be seated together (because that would be ridiculous) but did have a specific time we would like to be seated. I had arrived an hour early to check in, and the staff were more than reasonable to accommodate us. The service we received was fast and friendly despite the obviously heavy load on the servers at the time. My table had a newer server, but he was still very skilled and accommodating. “I sometimes have a hard time finding this little neighborhood bar. It's a gem. I feel like it's kind of like a phantom bar that phases in and out of existence, like something out of Brigadoon. It defines the word 'cozy'. The food went from reheated pizza to (now) very respectable bar food. It's always chill here, and the prices are right. Bar staff are consistently friendly.It's good that this place is hard to find. It's for locals, and people that know how to behave in bars. If you can't respect that, you shouldn't go.“

“Dad’s Pub & Grub in Monroeville! Was out at Monroeville Mall with a friend and we were looking for some good food and stumbled upon this gem!! Seen it had good reviews and the food looked awesome and the reviews/pics definitely did NOT disappoint. Started out with chicken tenders with a dry rub & ranch for dipping. Then for our meals I got a Cuban & my friend got the mushroom Swiss burger, both with fresh cut fries. The Cuban was amazing!! And one of the biggest I’ve ever had. I really liked the mustard sauce. The fresh cut fries were delicious too. The mushroom Swiss burger was delicious and absolutely giant for the price of $11!!!!! (I believe the Cuban was also $11) And that price INCLUDES the fries. We also split a side of Mac and cheese which was pretty good! Had a nice flavor and the sauce was nice & creamy. I also had a delicious cocktail but can’t remember the name. It had Tanqueray gin, lavender/chamomile infused simple syrup & fresh lemon juice. Deliciousness all around and such good prices!! 5 stars 10/10 highly recommend!!“

“We got visit here after going to the conservatory. It was a Friday and there was about a 30 minute wait and about a 30 minute wait for food. We gladly sat at the bar and ordered from a variety of mule drinks. Angry mule and the cranberry mule are so refreshing. We ordered the cod sandwich and fish taco. The portions were definitely large and delicious. Will definitely visit here again!!“

“Flavors change often. I've come several times and always see something different. I personally love getting the Extreme, which is their version of a DQ blizzard. You can choose what base from any of the available flavors that day and add toppings!! Usually most places do vanilla as the base.Previously, I got an Extreme with a Butter Pecan base mixed with Oreo and cookie dough pieces. That was unusual and tasty, but I also highly recommend adding their new brownie cookie dough bites! That really adds something extra. Last time, I got an Extreme with vanilla ice cream mixed with Oreo, cookie dough, and brownie dough bites. Definitely yummy. Overall, I definitely keep coming back.Also it's cash only! But worth it.“

“Reserved deck area for a meeting/working dinner. Meal was very enjoyable. So much more I want to try on the menu, so will go back. Not the best meeting space, though. Lots of noise echo and not all of the wall plugs were working for chargers. But that won't keep me from eating there again. Food was delish!!“

“It was only our second time visiting this bar/restaurant. It was a Friday afternoon, but we were able to find room for 3 at the bar.This is a good hangout with a good selection of beer and bar food. They were so easy to work with, put me at ease about all of the details, were so accommodating of our son’s milk allergy, made our guests comfortable! The staff was unbelievably nice and attentive!!! “Been here twice so far, both times in their new location. The first time we got two different pizzas for take out and took them down to the park a few minutes away and ate them for lunch. I can't remember exactly which ones they were, but they were pretty good. I think one was a margarita style and that one was good. The other one I think had pepperoni or salami on it and it was not my favorite, the meat was very strong, it tasted a little aged or maybe even old. I will avoid anything with that on it from now on. The second time I ate here was eat-in. I wasn't feeling adventurous so I just got the 50/50 burger, the meat was 50% beef and 50% pork and wow was that a satisfying burger. The toppings were super basic, not even any tomato, I think it was just cheese and lettuce, but the flavor of the patty made up for the lack of toppings. It was very flavorful and had a great texture. I will definitely get that again. We also got the buffalo cauliflower for an appetizer and they were really good. I'm not one of those people who thinks that buffalo cauliflower is somehow comparable with actual Buffalo wings, but good Buffalo cauliflower is its own thing and it's delicious, so I would get that again as well. I also appreciated that the bathroom was spotless, I think there's a lot to be said about the attention to detail that a restaurant staff has if their bathrooms are clean and attended to. It's a small dining room so I'm sure on a busy night there will be a wait, even though it's a little out of the way of the main road, but it's worth the drive and the wait. I will definitely be back.“

“I've lived near here for 9 years and finally made it to this place. A great spot in Aspinwall. We were able to get a reservation with short notice on a Friday night. Ambiance here is really nice, most of the dining area is outdoors (watch out for lantern flies). Our waiter was great, very attentive and friendly. They have a great cocktail list. I had the Frontporch Burger, it was great, I liked that it was served on focaccia. Prices are reasonable. Would definitely recommend a visit.“

“My sisters and I are always looking for diners when we go out. We are not fond of the chain restaurants. Today we found this diner on google and tried it. While we only ordered breakfast, it was the best breakfast that we have gotten. The pancake was fluffy and delicious. My eggs were made perfect, the coffee wasn’t bitter and our toast was perfect. Sue was friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant!! One of the best diners I have been to in quite a while!!!“

“This place was well worth the drive to the new location in Penn Hills. The big Victorian house allowed us to have a party of twelve in a homey setting. Excellent Brussel Sprouts and Bruschetta for appetizers. We all enjoyed our various pasta dishes. The friendly staff worked patiently with our gluten free and dairy free restrictions. The Beans and Greens were the best and two of us ordered more at the end to take home. Bring your own bottle with a $6 per guest (even if we didn’t drink). We highly recommend this place!“
