“The place is impeccably clean, inside and out. We met with the counter man, who took our order accurately and quickly. We were served promptly. The hotdog was the classic Easton style: deep fried and topped with mustard, onion, and pickle. The chili cheeseburger had a good flavor with onions and pickle. The chili had good flavor and good heat on the back end. I would have preferred a better quality roll on both items. The rolls were fresh, just simply not top quality. The staff was friendly and engaging. Certainly good fresh fast food.“

“On a rainy Friday we arrived and the free parking was welcomed. The waitress was very nice, accommodating and knowledgeable. The food was very good. We had pizza, wings, cheesesteak, artichoke sandwich, deep fried onion rings and the apple crisp. Only complaint, a bit too noisy. Hard to have conversation across the table. Cost of pizza a bit pricy. Would definitely return!“

“I have to say I hope this place never goes away. The woman I delt with today was so pleasant after having a meh day at work. The subs are a go to over wegmans and wawa all day for travel ball weekends. The last few times I got the cheeseburger sub and it is really good. This time I wanted a steak sub they handed me a 5lb trunk of steak love I actually felt bad for not tipping. Under 13 bucks and you not finish that and be hungry spring for the extra cheese it is 100% worth it. I would love to see them do a chop cheese or the chop sub thing that is viral. Buy or they go away in good Ole nazzy story of our lives.“

“This was the best place to get a steak sandwich when we lived in Lopatcong Township. We now live in Florida and for the last 8 years we've been looking for a place that was anywhere near as good as Joe's, but haven't found any. My favorite was the Medium Steak Sandwich. There was always plenty of meat and the sauce couldn't be beat. That's what I miss the most is that sauce. And the A-Treat cream soda! Can't get that down here either. When i volunteered at the Phillipsburg Railroad Historians(another great place), that is where we'd go to for lunch. We'd call ahead and order the food and then walk across the street to pick it up. Orders were always correct and the food was hot! It's one of the places we make sure to go to when we are up north visiting friends and family. Joe's for steak sandwiches, Nicolosi's for the best pizza, and Gino's Market for Italian subs. Miss them all, wish I could mail order food.“

“So coming from the Bronx and moving to NJ, I could never find any pizza place that comes even close to New York style pizza. I’m sorry to say it but New Jersey pizza is disgusting…. Until I found the holy Grail of pizza.!!!! Canalside is absolutely amazing!!!!!!!! It’s addictive too!!!! When I moved into the area I decided to give them a try and was really nervous because I was really craving pizza and tried other places in the area and it was just so bad!But I literally order from Canalside like every week!! It’s always fresh always delicious anything that I order. Anybody that comes to visit I immediately look for an excuse to order some canalside. Everyone has told me that this pizza and everything else on the menu is absolutely amazing. It’s fresh and you can really taste the pride that they take in their business!!! Thank you so much for making work from home days more bearable! Once I order from this place I’m in happy mode!!!!!!Keep up the good work!!!!“

“Something that drives me crazy about this place - me and probably no one else - is the fact that it has hotel in the name and it’s not a hotel. I couldn’t find the reason why on the site or a quick Google search.Family recommended trying this place so we did and it didn’t disappoint. The food was VERY good for the price. The only thing I wasn’t crazy about was the milkshake. That quality milkshake for $7 just doesn’t make sense, but everything else on their menu? I’d be surprised if there’s a better pizza place in Hellertown with prices like those. The atmosphere was quaint and a bit run-down but it was kind of cute also. They have a MASSIVE 3D swordfish on one of the walls. The service is pretty stellar, we have no complaints!Parking: There’s decent free parking space BUT you have to go through Oliver Alley to find it - it’s not on the Main St or High St side of things.“

“Was recommended to Petey's by a vendor in the area - shoutout to Bernie. This was by far the best cheesesteak I had while i have been working in the area. I'm pretty new to the sauce vs. gravy argument of a cheesesteak, and how they are assembled here vs. what one looks like in Michigan. The one i ordered had jalapenos, a healthy mix of savory sauce and flavorful meat. You order from a window like a drive-in, and it's attached to a gas station, so i wasn't really having high hopes. However, it was pretty solid.“

“New Jersey charm. Love the environment. Woman who worked the register and took our order was great! Positive and happy to serve us. Ordered a pork roll egg and cheese and it was yummy. Served on a fresh butter roll. Would recommend for a quick, simple, but delicious “
