“I’ve been coming to Cocalico Coffee Crafters for about a year and a half now—and I should have written this sooner. CCC is more than just a coffee shop—it’s a place with the warmth of a hearth, and the heart to match. Their Haitian espresso is rich and flavorful, the food’s solid, and the baristas are friendly. The space is large, and they fill it with good energy. But what really sets this place apart is the people. When I was going through a rough patch, I spent countless hours tucked away in a corner writing. Not once did anyone bat an eye at whether I ordered one coffee or ten, whether I took my meals there or not. I always got the same welcoming smile, and authentically good energy from the staff and owners alike. Owned by two genuinely kind humans, Rachel and Scott Elliott, this shop has quietly become a place of refuge and community for folks around East Cocalico—and I’ll always be grateful for what it gave me when I needed it most. Be sure to check out their site for menus or event rental information—I've not been in attendance to any, but I've seen the care with which they prepare: They're who I'll talk to next time I need such a space.”

“The atmosphere is fabulous and I love the menu choices, though it would be nice if chips were offered with the sandwiches. I will be going back. The only issue we had was the service and I hope it changes. The young lady serving us did not seem to know the menu enough to be able to answer questions, didn't know to bring us drinks, she had to ask us what we ordered so that she knew what to bring to our table. I almost felt sorry for her but there were only a few people in the restaurant and she was clearly having trouble remembering the process. Some training would help a lot!!”

“Scratch bakes has coffee and desserts, along with a beautiful seating space. It’s a good spot to come in the afternoon for a social meeting or a relaxing place to work. Acoustically it is a little echoey, but there is music that helps it from having a dead silence.”

Each dish exuded deliciousness, prompting my desire to return and sample more offerings from their menu. The next time I visit, I plan to try their ramen dishes and sushi combinations. I highly recommend this place. I've driven by it ever since I moved to Ephrata two years ago—I wish I had ordered from Nara Cafe much sooner.”

Vegetarian options: Tons of cheese-based options all over the menu and the sides/appetizers are great too!

Parking: Street parking only. I've never plugged a meter in Ephrata, but there are meters up and down main street.

Kid-friendliness: Seems very kid friendly.

Wheelchair accessibility: There's a step to get in, not real friendly, but not impossible.”

“So, it's not fancy, but The Deck is exactly what you want when you're looking for a fairly inexpensive night out with good friends. The drinks are amazing (I've never seen so many different kinds of "crushes"... try the Orange Creamsicle - it's to die for!). Although they don't have an extensive menu, the food is good. I had the chicken taco salad and it was so yummy, plus, there was alot of it and now I have dinner for tomorrow! The Buffalo shrimp, although very small and just a little over cooked, were excellent. We actually ordered another 30 after our first 30. Did I mention that they are dirty cheap? .25 cents per shrimp, with a minimum order of 10. So even if for some weird reason you don't like them, you're really only out $2.50. But trust me, you'll like them. Finally, the outdoor dining/bar is perfect, even on a chilly night... they have heaters to take the edge off, and if you have two orange Creamsicle crushes you'll never even feel the chill, I promise - lol. Highly recommend.”

“Amazing location, my wife got the pulled pork with beans and mac n cheese. I got a sampler with pulled pork, brisket, turkey and sausage along with beans and Mac n cheese and cornbread. It was all amazing! If there was a weak spot in any of it (and there wasn’t) - I would say the turkey could have been a tad moister. Portion sizes are way off the charts - I’ll get 3 meals out of the sampler I bought and my wife at least 2 out of hers. If this place hasn’t been on DDD yet it ought to be! Oh a bonus is that it’s literally off the wert - so you can ride your bike there and enjoy the ride as you look forward to a fantastic meal!”
