“Don't let the exterior fool you. The food was great! We stopped here on our way across PA. It is a short jump off of the turnpike and easy back on; maybe about 5 miles one way. They have a large space for outdoor seating. We chose the indoor AC. It is a bar. There are regulars having familiar conversations across the room with one another, Skills machines (with matching ATM), and a couple flat-screens. It's a comfortable atmosphere for those of us that grew up with "everybody knows your name" places. Bonus - Eagles fans make this place their home (Go Birds!).We ordered a grilled cheese, clam chowder, pizza burger, and onion rings. Sandwiches come with crisp potato chips. The pizza burger was yummy and very cheesy but nothing special. The clam chowder got good reviews and the grilled cheese was perfect for a road trip. The star of the show was the onion rings. They were deliciously sweet with a thick, crisp batter. Soda came in cans; iced tea too.The service was kind and quick. The bathroom was fairly clean. The only concern was the person wrapping flatware for service while eating her lunch; probably not a practice that would be repeated if the health inspector was there. Would stop again for sure.“

“All I can say is ....wow. This place had amazing food and I was not expecting that! We were driving from New York back to Pittsburgh when I had to get gas. I pulled off and drove behind a few buggy and horses. Apparently Amish live in the area which is always a good sign! Got gas at a gas station where you had to pay inside like the good old days. Saw a restaurant across the street and figured we'd take our chances. It did not disappoint! I got hot turkey sandwich, which was a piece of bread with shredded REAL TURKEY and another piece of bread on top, then chicken gravy over the top (seemed like the packet kind of yellow chicken gravy but it was GOOD) . My son got a cheesesteak hoagie and said it was really good. It was also real steak meat. The service was very prompt. The music was country music from the 1990s, which I absolutely love! The server was very kind. And the ice tea that I got was freshly brewed. The prices were really good also. I would make the 2 1/2 hour drive back just to eat at this restaurant!“

“Wonderful meals today for Father's Day - my Dad loved the chicken & waffles (with brown sugar)! First time visiting and we will definitely be back. Steak and crab cakes were awesome also- Great service!“

“I've been wanting to try this place for a while. The food was fantastic. Service was not overly good, I ran out of coffee twice. She basically just didn't come back much. Still would come back, maybe she was having an off day. I would recommend this place even after a not great experience.“

Not sure if they're over cooking it or using a different provider. Chicken used to be very moist and delicious. I was not pleased the last two times with the b r o a s t e d chicken and won't get it again. Overall their food is very reasonably priced even though the prices went up as all places after pandemic. Was only disappointed with the chicken or their other food is excellent still other than they switched to real potatoes to instant potatoes so next time I will get a baked potato.“
