I knew about this place from a friend for about a year now, but since I’m from Germany I wasn’t able to have a taste of own. My friend is a regular costumer though, so as I visited him here in the USA I made it one of my priorities to get food from Cherrys. So you can say I traveled over 5000 km (3000 miles) to eat here. If this isn’t dedication.

We stopped here while driving through, not expecting much since it was just a quick stop and I’m so glad we did! The oxtail with rice and peas was absolutely delicious. The oxtail was tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Honestly, it was better than a lot of the Caribbean spots I’ve had back home in NYC!

This place was AMAZING! Easily some of the best Caribbean food I’ve had in a long time. I ordered the oxtails with mac and cheese and collard greens, and everything on the plate was on point. The oxtails were incredibly tender, flavorful, and basically falling off the bone. The gravy was rich, savory, and seasoned perfectly. You could tell they really took their time cooking them.
