“This place is great. I got my first pizza and meatballs here this past Wednesday and I can’t say enough good things about it. The staff and owner are so nice and welcoming. My only complaint that I have with them is that they aren’t closer to my home so I can enjoy it more often. “Was a little disappointed that there were no options for kids. In order to get a pizza for my son, we had to select a specialty pizza from their menu, ask to remove all ingredients, and then get charged extra to add pepperoni. They only come in one size, $16 for a meal for an 8 year old is a little steep. Of all the things we ordered, the Ricotta Arugula was a definite front runner. We miss the pate from the old charcuterie board. Will return to continue exploring the menu.ETA: what an incredibly fast & thoughtful reply from the owner that I did not expect. We are continuously impressed with all of the businesses in New Kensington & appreciate feeling valued as customers.“

“Love these funky beers. Brett/wild/mixed fermentation brews are my go to and SR specializes in them. Had one outstanding beer and one very good one during my visit. Have had many SR brews before this first visit to a SR Taproom. So glad that the in-person experience was so satisfying. Very friendly and helpful staff. Welcoming patrons. Excellent food. The area is a little depressed but the "downtown" area was quaint. Enjoyed the visit very much.“

“The owner knew my father so I order their pizza all the time!! I will admit it's great pizza! Perfectly made. I love their wings, which is new for me. they had a smaller location years ago and didn't make wings then. So I guess what I'm saying is their success speaks for itself. He owns a bigger shop than originally and its successful because this man is dedicated and skilled at what he does. Their food is made by a man who has done this for so many years of his life that he perfected his art!!!! So if your looking for good pizza, hoagies, wings, Stromboli and much more, that taste better than others, it's better to get it from a place that busted their buns to be a local family favorite. “I want to gripe real quick...I absolutely LOVE Vocelli pizza but I live out in Ernest PA which is 15 minutes from shelocta and 15 minutes from Indiana...I have driven the good bit of distance just to get y'all's pizza but I can't always do it. “This is my go-to pizza/hoagie place in Lower Burrell. Wings and fries are good too. We've been going here for years. Guys are low key but very nice. As always the bottom line is: would you go back? That's an emphatic "yes" for me.“

“We have stopped in several times since moving to the area. The people are friendly and nice. The food is cooked fresh and haven't had any issues. Haven't been to a pizza hut in several years and we have come to this one about 5 times in the last month and a half because of how nice they are and how good it tastes. They care about the quality“

“Dang, I'm surprised by all the bad reviews. I ordered their basic cheese pizza with 3x sauce and buffalo sauce. The pizza is delicious and a medium at $12 is a great deal. Even better, the buffalo sauce tasted homemade. I was greeted upon pickup by a foreign guy who made my pizza. Any place that makes dipping sauces from scratch deserves major props. Every other pizza place uses CRAP sauces made of soybean oil and a bunch of nasty chemicals. I'll definitely be back, excellent pizza and dipping sauce.“

“The food was very good and overall the serve e was very good as well. I had the Italian Chicken sandwich special which was very good, the fries were a little disappointing as they were unseasoned, and clearly got a plate full of overcooked bottom of the bag fries. I also got the French Onion soup which I was told they might not have but they did and honestly it was quite disappointing also. My work partner who I was with had the Pittsburgh salad which he liked and the stuffed banana peppers which were excellent according to him. For a Monday early evening of football season the place was reasonably busy and well staffed. The only downside was that there was a customer who clearly had a few drinks and had a problem with some other customers who left and sat at the bar dropping f bombs and other very harsh cuss words and the bar tender kind of seemed to be entertaining him and laughing. I’m not sure if she was just trying to diffuse the situation or what but thankfully he left within 15-20 minutes. I’m only in town for one night every quarter for work and with lots of small mom and pop local spots to try I likely won’t be back here but it is good to know that there is a decent place not far from my hotel that doesn’t have a chain name attached to it. I live in a small town and love supporting small town businesses as often as I can.“

“So we ordered 5 birdville pizza's last week. Not sure if they tweaked the recipe. Had a little bite to it. Three of us agreed it was the best pizza we ever ordered from Phillippi's. If you did tweak it, KEEP It. Absolutely delicious. If not, then give kudo's to last Friday's crew.So it's been awhile since we last ordered. Wasn't that good then. But this order was the bomb. “Being a NYC pizza person, I am particular about pizza. I don't like Pittsburgh pizza too much, as I have been spoiled rotten by the some of the greatest pizza's in the world in NY/CT/NJ.That said, call me crazy but I really like their Detroit Pizza! The cheese crusts up on the sides and is oh so good! Additionally they have a Philly Chicken Hoagie that almost reminds me of a Philly Cheesesteak. I like it and they make it the way I like it. Go Novotny's. It's a little pizza kitchen grocery store with a heckuvalotaa PUNCH!“
