“I ordered a bunch of pizza for my daughter’s birthday party and was running late they were very nice and accommodating. They also gave my plates and napkins in case I forgot. The service was great and the pizza was really good! Thanks again!“
“Great food, everything is always very fresh. My favorite is the Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo .... they serve fresh baked bread and an awesome garden salad. The staff and owners are very friendly and always very attentive to our dining needs and the atmosphere is a family restaurant home feeling....always welcoming!“
“I am originally from NE PA. and just about getting ready to stop looking for good pizza until I found J & S. Their NY style thin crust is the "foldable" real deal. I highly recommend. I don't buy pizza anywhere else, the staff is awesome as well. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“You would never know it, looking from the highway, but this is the place to stop for snacks and pizza any time of night. The staff are amazing. If you want certain toppings, just ask and see what they have. They cook it fast, are always nice, and are willing to chat. Lost, cold, hungry? Come here. Want advice on a great sweet treat or local baked good? Come here!“
“While dine in Pizza Huts are a dying breed, this location is absolutely fantastic in keeping the nostalgia alive. For my time here our waitress, Carol, was absolutely phenomenal and an excellent employee. She is amazingly friendly and makes sure everyone is accommodated whilst not being overbearing and pushy. She makes the entire experience so much more positive and joyous. Needless to say I hope to see her again next time I come.“
“So we ordered 5 birdville pizza's last week. Not sure if they tweaked the recipe. Had a little bite to it. Three of us agreed it was the best pizza we ever ordered from Phillippi's. If you did tweak it, KEEP It. Absolutely delicious. If not, then give kudo's to last Friday's crew.So it's been awhile since we last ordered. Wasn't that good then. But this order was the bomb. Please keep it rollin.“
“I recently visited bobs subs while away from home for work. I was blown away by the great atmosphere, amazing steak and cheese, and excellent customer service. The ambiance was welcoming and the staff were friendly and attentive. The steak and cheese sub was simply outstanding, with a perfect balance of flavors and high-quality ingredients. I can't wait to return for another satisfying meal. Definitely a top-notch spot for a delicious and enjoyable dining experience.“
“Stopped by for the first time today. Picked up a couple pizza pies. Wood fired and tasty as hell. Nice crust, nice cheese/toppings/sauce. No complaints here, and I highly recommend. I'll be back for sure to try some of the signature pies! Go get you a pizza, you won't regret it.“
“This place was recommended to me by a friend, and it absolutely did not disappoint. Great service, chatted with one of the owners. He shared his families beginnings, starting with his Nana’s exceptional recipes. They use quality ingredients… then they add pure love, respect and consistency in the food that they put forth daily. Great people, great story and great pizza. The dough was light and crispy, a perfect mix so the toppings can shine! Cash only. A definite must if you’re in Verona!“
“Love love love Frankstown Wood fired Pizza! I crave it everyday. My boyfriend and I like the margarita pizza. So much so that we get it about once a week. Workers and owners are very kind and make delicious food. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients of both the toppings and dough in every bite. If you can make it there before it’s gone their fresh baked bread is wonderful!! I recommend and tell people about this place all the time. I would give them 100 stars if I could ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was cooked well and so delicious! The parking lot was full so we thought we might have trouble getting a table but they had tables available so don't let the full parking lot keep you from stopping in.“
“My family just left this establishment after enjoying a few incredible slices of pizza, with complimentary donuts from the owner. Not only was he helping the front-of-the-house staff when we walked in. He noticed us with our 3 young boys and immediately handed us these scrumptious donuts to occupy them while the pizza was cooking. Small acts of kindness like that are what make this world go around, or at least my world go around. After a very long couple of days, his act of kindness meant the world to me. This was our 3rd time visiting, as we live 45 minutes away. We will be sure to frequent it as much as we can when in town. Thanks again, Tony’s! Your business is deserving of all success. Keep on bringing a smile to the faces of your customers.“
“I live a few minutes down the road from this place and hadn’t tried it until a couple months ago. I am now thrilled that it’s so close and so good. The pizza is always amazing, especially the buffalo chicken or pierogi one, fried mushrooms are great. There isn’t a single thing we’ve had from here that isn’t good. Just tried their bacon cheeseburger tonight and it was incredible. So fresh, hot, crispy bacon. So glad to have this place so close to home!“
“Was a little disappointed that there were no options for kids. In order to get a pizza for my son, we had to select a specialty pizza from their menu, ask to remove all ingredients, and then get charged extra to add pepperoni. They only come in one size, $16 for a meal for an 8 year old is a little steep. Of all the things we ordered, the Ricotta Arugula was a definite front runner. We miss the pate from the old charcuterie board. Will return to continue exploring the menu.ETA: what an incredibly fast & thoughtful reply from the owner that I did not expect. We are continuously impressed with all of the businesses in New Kensington & appreciate feeling valued as customers.“
“My husband and I both had the stuffed shells with a meatball. It was excellent! The best shells I ever had. I love their sauce and they give you a huge roll to enjoy all that lovely, tasty sauce. The waitress was very attentive and sweet. We will be back....“
“This is a small town establishment that has consistently fantastic food. A weekly changing menu along with your regular bar food. My friends and I meet here regularly, and we are impressed with the food every single time! They have a very talented chef!“
“Had Wings here for the first.time since I relocated back home. These seasond wings are bomb!Taste like ur mama's old school seasoned wings and tossed in a brown bag full of flour.Hours are a.little didfrent.but now that I have that downI will be coming through oftenQ ings are.expensive to buy so if I can get a.dozen of these for 29 bucks on a night I don't want.to.cook it's a home run! Also very nice phone.service and.in person service.I walk with.2.canes.and.the young man without hesitation assisted me out to my car!Thank you!!“
“Love these funky beers. Brett/wild/mixed fermentation brews are my go to and SR specializes in them. Had one outstanding beer and one very good one during my visit. Have had many SR brews before this first visit to a SR Taproom. So glad that the in-person experience was so satisfying. Very friendly and helpful staff. Welcoming patrons. Excellent food. The area is a little depressed but the "downtown" area was quaint. Enjoyed the visit very much.“
“The owner knew my father so I order their pizza all the time!! I will admit it's great pizza! Perfectly made. I love their wings, which is new for me. they had a smaller location years ago and didn't make wings then. So I guess what I'm saying is their success speaks for itself. He owns a bigger shop than originally and its successful because this man is dedicated and skilled at what he does. Their food is made by a man who has done this for so many years of his life that he perfected his art!!!! So if your looking for good pizza, hoagies, wings, Stromboli and much more, that taste better than others, it's better to get it from a place that busted their buns to be a local family favorite. The crew in the kitchen and behind the counter are also amazing ? they are the oil that makes the wheels turn smoothly in this place and most of their efforts shine through!! I absolutely adore this shop!!!“
“Foods great bartenders are great. Quick fast but accurate good customer service. With delicious drinks and food. Honestly I was told the blue lagoon was really good and it's vodka blue curaçao lemonade it was a very good drink just wish it had more lemonade flavor to it. And as far as the raspberry long island goes it's perfectly delicious and scrumptious. Their seasoned fries and Mac attack bowls Cajun shrimp was quite delicious. Although personally I might ask for more Cajun next time. I love to be able to see it in the delicious creamy white sauce they pair it with also the shrimp in this delicious delicacy is fried. Great atmosphere“
“I had a HUGE craving for a chicago style deep dish pizza after watching a review on one. I searched for 'deep dish butler' and got this restaurant! So worth the roughly 30 minute drive. Not only was the deep dish incredible, the garlic knots were the best I've ever had. I got my food to go, but the inside was very cute! Just pay attention to where you pull into the parking lot... they have a HUGE sign that says 'do not enter' but as I was leaving someone tried pulling in and near missed running right into me.“
“11/10 ??? it’s as good as it looks! We drove an hour here and it was well worth it! We got the fried meatballs, garlic knots, and a deep dish buffalo chicken pizza. The pizza queen really does make the best pizza in Pittsburgh. The crust was unbelievable. Thank you “
“The Sarver Vocelli is the best! They not only made delicious pizza that arrived nice and hot, but they made an 18 out of pepperoni for my daughter's birthday and wrote happy birthday on all her boxes! Highly highly recommend!!! Thank you guys so much!!! ?❤️“
“My husband and I have been coming here for years. The food is always great, the atmosphere is laid back and comfortable, beers are cold and delicious, plus the best happy hour deals around! But, truly, the best part is the phenomenal bartenders. Every single one of these ladies do a great job. They're are alll sweet, professional, and make everyone is always taken care of. Special shout out to my Tuesday girls who are serious rock stars and keep us coming back every single week, Brit and Kristie!Vegetarian options: Cheese pizza, MYO pizza, breadsticks, spinach hoagie, sandwiches, Mediterranean pizza, spinach and Feta pizza, vegetable pie, fries, cheese sticks, onion rings, fried zucchini, mushrooms, spinach and feta rolls, pasta“
“The thin and the thick square (sicilian) were excellent! I'm a total pizza snob and tried both and am so glad that I did! This was my 1st time trying as I don't live in this area and I'm totally impressed. Can't wait to order again! The owners were very nice and everything was ready on time and hot!“
“First time today being at this Newkensington landmark the submarine sandwiches here are remarkable very good fresh bread made daily really good deli very nice owner very nice experience he even gave me a free cookie! ? We'll definitely be visiting this place anytime I need a sub in newkensington ????“
“This is my go-to pizza/hoagie place in Lower Burrell. Wings and fries are good too. We've been going here for years. Guys are low key but very nice. As always the bottom line is: would you go back? That's an emphatic "yes" for me.“
“First visit to Mercurio's. Had reservation, was seated right away. Food was all delicious and affordable ~ we had bruschetta, dough balls, pizza, gelato. Red sauce is so yummy! Great selection of draft beer, to include locals Arsenal & Dancing Gnome. ❤️ All staff were friendly but a special shout out to our server, Michelle. She was super attentive, friendly, fun, and simply great to interact with. She made the experience extra great. ? Look forward to returning!“
“We have stopped in several times since moving to the area. The people are friendly and nice. The food is cooked fresh and haven't had any issues. Haven't been to a pizza hut in several years and we have come to this one about 5 times in the last month and a half because of how nice they are and how good it tastes. They care about the quality“
“Tonight was our first experience at Tatoni's. We brought our children ages 3 and 6 for pizza and fish sandwiches. The food was great. Mike was very friendly and inviting. We will be return customers!Kid-friendliness: It is a bar/restaurant but we were able to put nickelodeon on for the kids and Mike came out and chatted with them. Definitely recommend for families“
“We got their flyer in the mail today and decided to give them some business. We're outside of their delivery area, so we just picked up the pizza ourselves. We ordered the standard pizza with two toppings. They use really good cheese. The sauce is on the sweet side, not acidic, not bitter. Overall it's a pretty good sauce. Pizza dough was really good, comparable to some of the best pizza places we've tried out this way. And the prices seemed really fair. Only real complaint I have, and it's not their fault, is we couldn't tell the place was in business when we found it. They need better lighting or something so that you can tell this is a place of business to match the quality of their pies. I rate our experience pretty highly, we'll be back to try some other stuff from the menu.“
“The food was very good and overall the serve e was very good as well. I had the Italian Chicken sandwich special which was very good, the fries were a little disappointing as they were unseasoned, and clearly got a plate full of overcooked bottom of the bag fries. I also got the French Onion soup which I was told they might not have but they did and honestly it was quite disappointing also. My work partner who I was with had the Pittsburgh salad which he liked and the stuffed banana peppers which were excellent according to him. For a Monday early evening of football season the place was reasonably busy and well staffed. The only downside was that there was a customer who clearly had a few drinks and had a problem with some other customers who left and sat at the bar dropping f bombs and other very harsh cuss words and the bar tender kind of seemed to be entertaining him and laughing. I’m not sure if she was just trying to diffuse the situation or what but thankfully he left within 15-20 minutes. I’m only in town for one night every quarter for work and with lots of small mom and pop local spots to try I likely won’t be back here but it is good to know that there is a decent place not far from my hotel that doesn’t have a chain name attached to it. I live in a small town and love supporting small town businesses as often as I can.“
“Great pizza, Fantastic crust. Their hours of operation though make no sense to me. They close everyday at 8 pm. I've lived in Leechburg almost a year and because of their hours they lose 90% of my business and the guests in my bed and breakfast tell me the same. I always recommend them to my guests only to hear that they were closed when guests called. Closed at 8pm on a Saturday? That's a bad business model for a pizza place. I hope they make it. The pizza is perfect but if you can't get one after 8 pm why bother?“
“We drove rwo hours to pick up a Facebook marketplace find and had luch at sicilianos- oh my goodness, it was so delcious! We had italian hoagies- the best I’ve ever eaten with a side of broccoli salad that was to die for! This food alone was worth the drive, and all served up by the most friendly and wonderful people-amazing!!?“
“Dang, I'm surprised by all the bad reviews. I ordered their basic cheese pizza with 3x sauce and buffalo sauce. The pizza is delicious and a medium at $12 is a great deal. Even better, the buffalo sauce tasted homemade. I was greeted upon pickup by a foreign guy who made my pizza. Any place that makes dipping sauces from scratch deserves major props. Every other pizza place uses CRAP sauces made of soybean oil and a bunch of nasty chemicals. I'll definitely be back, excellent pizza and dipping sauce.“
“Best pizza I’ve ever had and I’ve lived in other parts of the country. I travel 13 miles each way for this pizza. Had to buy a pizza bag to keep it hot. I’ve recommended this place to so many friends and they have all enjoyed it. And when we dine in we get an Italian dish that is absolutely delicious. I can remember many years ago seeing Bill Cowher and his wife having dinner here on Mother’s Day. If it’s good enough for Cowher then you Yinzers are gonna love it!!“
“I’ve been here several times and have never been disappointed! The food is some of the best Italian in Pittsburgh! We always order the gnocchi with blush sauce and always appreciate how perfectly done the gnocchi is (never mushy or overdone) as well as the T-bone steak which is always made PERFECTLY! We also appreciate how many sides you get with each meal as well as FRESH BREAD! You won’t be let down and will definitely have leftovers for lunch tomorrow.“
