“If you are looking for a secret place, this place is that spot. If you adore Mom and Pop restaurants with a pallette for creativity, do not look any further outside of this menu.I called in trying to find some vegan options since everything sounded amazing. The family went above and beyond to make sure what I ordered was vegan. They even called me back to verify what I could and could not eat for clarification even though there was a language barrier. They made sure to double check in person the second day. They made me feel as if I was home and the flavors were fresh and made with love.It was like fine dining made with comfort. The prices you can not beat anywhere for those portions And flavors. The menu was definitely made by a Chef with an awesome pallet for creativity which is meticulously refined. The dishes are homemade from what I ordered down to the peanut sauce. Mouthwatering.Buns are not vegan....but I was told they are made from scratch and they are vegetarian if you don't add meat.Authentic Thai Cuisine in my opinion. Just the spicy peanuts alone with these Thai limes. Wow.The rice is flavorfully fresh and seasoned.The summer wraps are a breath of fresh air.I had to order two days in a row for how addicted I am. If I was not from out of town, this would be my go to spot a couple times a week.“

“Took a friend out for lunch for her birthday. We shared the shrimp and crab roll and I got the Pad Khing with tofu, and opted for the soup. My friend got the green curry with tofu. Everything was delicious! Next time I’ll ask for more spice. Great lunch price point as well.Vegetarian options: You can get tofu with any dish as the protein.“

“Bao Nine is such a cute place to eat at. Thankfully, the food matches the atmosphere! The food is fresh, light, and delicious. The prices are great and the combo options make it easy to try a little of everything. I enjoyed my first time at Bao Nine and will surely be going back whenever I'm in the neighborhood.“

“One of the best and authentic Indonesian restaurants in the states. The other one is in Atlanta GA. As a native Indo, I highly recommend this place. Service was good. Space is quite tight but expected for Philly. Food is so good. So good. Get the ketoprak, Satay ayam/ grilled skewered chicken with special peanut sauce, for sure. We drove 9 hrs one way and it was worth it. Makasih banyak mbak2.“

“Located in a small strip center with a small parking lot and across the street from a much bigger lot, Osushi is a gem. We arrived for a late lunch. We started with the tofu miso soup (would prefer more tofu) that was tasty and a larger than typical serving. The tuna dumpling, tricolor tobiko roll, and the Naruto roll are pictured. The tuna dumpling included mango which compliments the overall taste. The visual appeal of every dish was outstanding (see the attached pictures). While a bit pricey, there's no denying the quality.Parking: There's a single line of parking in this steep center with a much larger public lot immediately across the street“

“The staff and owner are nice folks. Prices are fair and reasonable in this current economy. Food was solid, the French Onion Soup Dumplings were solid. Steak was solid. The cocktails were generally not my style, I prefer mezcals/bourbons/whiskey bases, but the flavor profile was solid; the Drunk Text was the winner. It’s a nice addition to the neighborhood. I’ll be interested to see how they grow in the near future.It would be nice to see a Point Breeze cocktail bar crawl between Dock Street, El Mezcal, Insatiable, Madira and other spots … the local spots could benefit from something like a city-wide competition (shot + beer + app). I would like to see more collaboration between our neighborhood’s restaurants“

“Delicious and flavorful food! My family enjoyed the Night Market Chicken, Kimchi Tots, the Sesami Chicken Flavor Bomb, Veggie Lover, and Bulgogi Bibim Bowl. Fresh and healthy ingredients. Very generous portions. Very friendly customer service. I highly recommend Sesami!“

“Everything about this place is wonderful.The service was amazing with the waiter, Logan, being an absolute delight. He was very considerate and cordial and at the end wrapped our leftovers for us.We had steamed chicken dumplings, char siu, and crab rangoon as our appetizers. The chicken dumplings had a light delicate taste and I could tell they were recently prepared. The char siu was flavorful and ample in portion, for just $10 it was shocking to get what amounted to a small entree. The crab rangoon was perfectly crispy and nice and gooey.For our entrees we had the shrimp lettuce wrap and chicken chow fun. It was lots of fun eating the wrap and crunchy and flavorful. The chow fun noodles were well made with a nice bounce to them and saucing was done well.The atmosphere was on the modern end with an emphasis on a wood/natural tone.I 100% would come here again and plan to in the coming weeks.Vegetarian options: The menu has a serviceable vegetarian section and you can always order a dish without meat.“

“I have been coming to this place for about two years now and I am definitely not one to write reviews at all, but this place really deserves it. I am a senior in highschool and the chef john is the nicest and humblest man i know. He is kind to every customer and makes amazing food (I like the garlic rice bowl the best). Today, he saw that i wasn’t eating and came over to me directly with my favorite order. I didn’t mention that I was fasting for the month of ramadan. This just goes to show his character and i hope that he gets all the customers he deserves“

“Ardmore: this is your new takeout Chinese food place. Two tiers above anything else I’ve had around here in my 15 years in Ardmore.The place is clean, the owners welcoming, and the food very fresh and delicious. They also use mostly easily recyclable/compostable brown cardboard containers that are just the right size.The dumplings, Spring rolls and Beef Lo Mein were all the best I’ve ever had from a takeout place.I can”t wait to go back.I’m worried that the inner neighborhood location will make it difficult for them to drum up enough business to make it, which would be heartbreaking. “Absolutely amazing Thai food to go. We ordered the Fried Tofu (super crispy and firm but not dried or greasy), shumai (pretty good but a bit dense and could not really make out the shrimp or crab), fantastic Tom ka (order it spicy!), pad Thai, drunken noodles, and sweet and sour chicken for the kids! The noodles were good and spicy and the kiddos loved the sweet and sour. It was such good chicken, the adults even enjoyed. But the cherry on top was the absolutely kind and sweet phone and in person service - which is becoming a diamond in the rough. Super impressed from the first hello to the last bite!“

“This place is absolutely amazing! Love the atmosphere and how calm but sociable it is. Music was definitely not over your voice. Our server was AMAZING! I wish I knew her name but she was on point on what you wanted and on top asking first if anyone is allergic to any type of food and not all places do that! The food was so good and the presentation was on point!! I didn’t even wanted to touch it cause it looked so pretty ? I even asked if the seaweed cannot be added in my sushi and I got a yes and not all places do that. If you don’t want a certain ingredient they will do it with no hesitation. “We are Hong Konger and enjoy the traditional 'Dim Sum' since we were kids. Their authentic 'Dim Sum' brings back all the memories of those good old days and good food. The atmosphere is good, the 'Dim Sum' is tasty and juicy. The service is very good too and they treated us like a family. They are very friendly and polite. But a friendly reminder to remind you that the 'Dim Sum' is freshly made and very hot inside. The 'Siomai', 'Beef Ball' and 'Ham Sui Gok' appeared to be cold and dry outside. Actually, they are very hot and juicy inside. Never try to swallow it down and you will regret. But taste it with a small bite and you will enjoy it. “We went to Tora after not getting a table at our local go to sushi spot. We went in not expecting much and were so kindly greeted and serviced. We ordered the fish cakes, spring rolls, spicy stir fried mussels (wow), shrimp tempura roll, eel roll, rainbow roll, Tom yum soup and breaded chicken cutlets and were so pleasantly surprised that every single thing was delicious. Add to that the great service and family friendly environment, where the owners are the ones serving and making your food, and you have a great dining experience. The place is modest but so worth a try. We will be going back!“

“Really good food. They are always quick. I don’t live far, so getting pickup is usually much faster than delivery. I also have an allergy and I’ve never had any issues with cross contamination. I wouldn’t dine in. The place is run down and older but clean.“

“Our waitress was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable and she took good care of us. For 2 people, we ordered 3 apps, 2 entrees and a sushi roll and I think that was plenty with some leftovers to take home. We ordered the rock shrimp (hit), shishito peppers (wouldn't recommend), short rib buns (hit), chicken yakitori udon (fav), hibachi beef (not bad) and the summer roll (didn't like one bit). If there's one thing I'd recommend it's the noodles- it was well sauced- not too salty and the bounciness of the udon made it so yummy! If you order it you'll know what I mean :) I would recommend this cute spot!“
