Deerfoot Downtown Winery •
348 N Queen St, Lancaster

“Visited the tasting room in Lancaster and had a lovely visit. The tasting was well explained by the woman working and the wine was overall very good! The tasting room setup is tiny, with only a couple chairs I could see it getting stuffy if more people had been there. Wish there were a few other chairs/tables but I understand the space is limited!“

Meduseld Meadery Brewery • $$
252 Harrisburg Ave, Lancaster

“A truly fun night out! This is a small bar with around a dozen flavors of mead, along with some locally brewed beer options. You can get a flight of mead to try a few different ones, and then get a lane to throw axes. The instructor went over the basics in maybe 2 minutes and gave us tips when we weren't sticking the axes immediately, so very quickly we were nailing the target and having a great time. It's a very different kind of time to have, and it's a lot of fun- totally worth your time.I will mention as a small caveat - this is a bar, but their food and drink menu is very limited. For food they had a handful of snacks and for drinks it really was just the mead and beers. My advice would be to eat before going. Also, if you have that one friend that doesn't like trying new things - leave them home.“

Vine Bar Winery •
237 N Prince St, Lancaster

“Great new little wine bar in Lancaster with a curated offering of unique wines from Italy. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about their wines and offer thoughtful suggestions. One observation is that the space is rather bright and plain, perhaps dimming the lights and accenting the decor will make the space a bit more warm and cozy, but overall a great new place! We will definitely visit again and have been recommending to our friends.“

Thorn Hill Winery Wineries • $$$
1945 Fruitville Pike, Lancaster

“The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon “O” is fantastic! This wine is luscious, full bodied, and a bargain considering the wines of the world! My husband and I paired this with braised beef short ribs-a marriage made to delight! “O” is rich in color - dark garnet- with gorgeous flavors of dark fruit, cherry, blackberry, cassis, chocolate, and hints of coffee. To top things off, the tannins are mellowed and balanced. I hope Amy, the winemaker, will keep developing wine of this caliber.“

Glasshouse Wineworks Winery • $
8 S Charlotte St, Manheim - 9.87 miles

“Very good winery! The room and atmosphere is very welcoming and polished. We got two of the wine flights, and the wines were very good. The red wine that was aged in the whisky barrel was my favorite! But all of the wines were very good. Definitely a great winery and worth a visit! They also have various other liquors and beers and appetizers!“
