7 Best Wineries near Kutztown

Setter Ridge Vineyards Winery •
99 Dietrich Valley Rd, Kutztown

“Offering a very relaxed environment, on a lovely property, with very good wines and great service. Family-friendly, with plenty of space to find your niche and settle in for a while. Currently, they offer 6 pre-arranged tastings of 4 wines, including flights built around their crisp whites, their reds, their Burgundy grapes, their Bordeaux grapes, their sweet offerings, and with chocolate pairings. You can also built your own flight of 4 wines for a few dollars more. The standouts for me were the Pinot Noirs - I'd advise trying glasses from both vineyards if you can, as they're quite unique from one another. We also really enjoyed their Riesling and Pinot Gris - nice and crisp, just enough bite to tantalize the tongue without overpowering your taste buds. In all, Setter offers more than 20 wines that can fit most guests tastes. The bottles all provide very solid value for their price points and are worth bringing home. I like the versatility of their wine lineup - you can find some great choices ranging from sparkling wines you'd enjoy during a cocktail hour, to white and red offerings that pair nicely with seafood and red meats respectively. If you're looking for something a little different, they serve Sangria, as well as Mimosas on Sunday - these choices are also delicious.“

Vynecrest Winery Wineries • $$
172 Arrowhead Ln, Breinigsville - 7.74 miles

“A delightful, lively winery with pleasant surrounding vineyards, live music and plenty of seating spaces to choose from - upstairs and downstairs tasting rooms, and outdoor, tent dining. Very family friendly. Great location and atmosphere. Friendly staff. The boards are tasty, as is the Buffalo Chicken Dip. The kids wolfed down a couple of hotdogs each, and there are good truck options as well. The wines range are generally , with the No. 41 and Chambourcin my favorite and the Traminette serving as my wife's favorite. All the samples are good sized. A great stop along the Lehigh Valley Wine Trail or if checking out the Kutztown area wineries.“

Stonekeep Meadery and Wine Cellars Winery •
564 Blandon Rd, Fleetwood - 8.21 miles

“I'm the first to admit that my exposure to, and my knowledge of mead is significantly more limited than other adult beverages. But I have really enjoyed what I've tried from Stonekeep. I've enjoyed visits to both their Fleetwood and Jim Thorpe tasting rooms. I really dig the medieval vibe. It makes both locations feel unique, and not quite like your typical tasting room experience. This is the type of place you would bring someone if they were visiting from out of town and we're looking for something off the beaten path. While Stonekeep produces both wine and mead, it is the latter which truly stands out. My favorite selections are the Red Raspberry Melomel and the Blue Muninn. Both offerings are absolutely delicious, and an excellent way to introduce someone to mead who may not be familiar with the drink. Both are excellent on their own, but really hit a whole new level when paired with chocolate. Consider busting out these meads for your after dinner course when entertaining at home. Or, if you're by yourself, feel free to pour yourself a glass and sit in front of the fireplace.“

Clover Hill Vineyards & Winery Wineries • $$
9850 Newtown Rd, Breinigsville - 6.53 miles

“We love Clover Hill. We've been drinking their wine for years. They have good wine that is also affordable. And I have never had an unpleasant interaction with an employee. I can't say I have ever dined at any of their locations, so I can't speak on that, but I have already picked up wine at 3 of their locations. Which wines? My family loves their sweet wine, the Catawba and Concord have been our go to wines since we started buying CHW, which was around a decade ago.“
