“This lovely little store was able to accommodate my lactose intolerance for my coffee (Costa Rican coffee ROASTED IN THE STORE! Yum!) and my sister's gluten intolerance with some awesome looking sugar cookies. We got "granny's grilled cheese", an awesome cheddar and granny apples on raisin bread. We got a BLT on sourdough, that was fabulous. And a very good chef's salad with lots of meat and cheese. The brownie was also excellent. If you're in the area and need food, visit this store!“

“Took grandkids to 896 Pie today after a swim in the pool. Great service and amazing pizza. Brent is the owner and he was so friendly and engaged with his customers. All the grandkids and two adults enjoyed the perfectly cooked pizza. Thanks for a great visit“

“The Lamb Tazeen is to DIEEEEEE for.. Just go and check out.. this one recipe brings me to this restaurant time and again.. other ones are great too.. but this one is just WOW!! The French fries is so crispy and tasty that it intrigued my wife to know it's recipe.. it has outdoor hookah place as well with a pretty good option of LongIsland Ice Tea.. overall, I spend a great time every time I visit this place.. “Love this place. Their lunch waffle creations are delicious (favorite is the muffelatta...I have dreams of their olive relish). I usually just get the plain waffles as they are delicious by themselves but the dessert creations also look amazing. Their espresso is the best I have found...not as chocolatey as others, taste more fresh and vibrant and never bitter. Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable (will tell you how they roast their beans). Just go there. You will be glad you did..“

“I’ve been to HOM for their New Years brunch this past year and everything was amazing from the food to the atmosphere. Everyone was dressed in their pajamas which I thought was so cute for new years! Recently my boyfriend and I went to check out the Harry Potter bar upstairs. I am a huge Harry Potter fan and the series means a lot to me so I JUMPED at the opportunity to try out the bar. We did have to wait about 1 hour- 1.5 hours but the hostess was so nice and helpful throughout the waiting process. I do have to say the bar upstairs is very small (due to fire code) but we heard they may be expanding for the holidays- which I will definitely go back for. The food was great as always and drinks were delicious! I would say plan to go as soon as it opens or put your name on the list for the Harry Potter bar with the expectation that you may have to wait for a while. The staff there are SO nice and so helpful!“

“Absolutely love the outdoor seating area. The restaurant is dog-friendly too! We ordered some fried pickles, a breakfast platter and a crab cake sandwich. Food was pretty good and service was prompt and attentive. We like the fact that the restaurant is just before the busy part of Main Street of UD.“

“Enjoyed my birthday tonight with family and friends. Grew up in Newark and have never eaten here. It did not disappoint. Love the history and the ambience. Our waitress, Piper was phenomenal, .... friendly, accommodating, and very attentive. The food was perfectly portioned and all tasted great. The soft pretzel was wonderful. The Brussel Sprouts was excellent and the short ribs were tender and flavorful. The apple cider mule was a perfect drink to top it all off.“

“The manager was extremely kind and helpful. We arrived very late and the kitchen was closed but he offered us a few pizza options and we were more than grateful!! Pizza was delicious and the wait staff was very friendly and attentive. We can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu and really appreciate how customer friendly everyone was.“

“We went for dinner on Mother's Day. Food and service were very good. We sat outside at one of the enclosed tables so ambience was different than inside. I thought it was a little over-priced but food and service were very good. I will return although there are a lot of options on Main Street that I haven't tried yet.“
