“I can't review the course itself but my daughter's wedding reception was held here in October. If you are looking for a reasonably priced, scenic venue then this might be your place. It's located on a high point in Middletown overlooking the Susquehanna River. Three Mile Island and the airport are right nearby (and this worried me a bit) but they don't distract from the beautiful view. The outside deck is gorgeous, unfortunately we had a cold day so couldn't enjoy it as much as we had hoped. But I can imagine it would be a perfect spot for a wedding ceremony (or just a great party) in good weather. The buffet style meal was very tasty, no complaints there, and again the price was quite reasonable. Unfortunately there are a couple of reasons I can't give it 5 stars. There were only 2 serve staff on site for our 80 guests. One tending bar and the other apparently doing everything else. So things didn't get done quite as fast as I would've liked. The other thing that bothered me was the huge stains on the carpet (however when I said something to my mom she hadn't noticed). That being said, in the end it worked out very well and I think everyone had a really good time. I feel like this venue is just a little rough around the edges but has great potential!“
“Nice spot. The food was good, and our server was good. I had the Lobster Bisque, and it was fresh with plenty of meat in it. We shared the Calimari appetizer. It was light and freshly made. The wife had shrimp and crab pasta, I had the king salmon. The wife said hers was just okay. Mine was great. The salmon was cooked to perfection. It's expensive but worth it. I say that, but it seems everywhere we go to eat seems expensive. ?“
“The drink and food menu is varied and fresh. Waitress was attentive and service great. A stop at the table by the owner was unexpected and a nice touch. Meal was filling yet we had room for a cocktail and desert! Highly recommended by this out of towner.“
“Haven't been here in awhile and wanted to try it out as I have heard they have the best wings around. The staff was very welcoming as the place was more than half full. Sat in the back had a good view of the TV's. The waitress took our drink order. Good selection of beer on tap and bottles. Was back quick with the drinks and we already knew what we wanted. Ordered a dozen wings medium with Parm. Was only a few minutes and they were served. If you don't like celery you can get carrots by the way. The first few where great and then I hit a few that were over cooked and dry. I only had one flat all the others were drums. Sauce was light on my order to the point I didn't have anything in the basket to coat them up with. The other ordered was perfect with no issue. Will go back again. By the time we left the place was full. Kid friend and they have bigger tables for groups. Staff was excellent.Parking: Lot is t the biggest but you can park on the street behind as well.Kid-friendliness: Menu has plenty of options for families. They have two sections, tables in the back and high-top tables around the bar. Some tables have TV's on the wall at the table itself.Wheelchair accessibility: Have spot by the door, can easily accommodate guest coming in and out.“
“From their creative menu to their top tier ingredients, Black Gryphon is a must visit spot for any locals AND out of towner’s. Their fantastic “Chocolate Hot” is extremely noteworthy. From the several dishes I’ve tried, each one has been a home run. Be sure to get your burger “Super Saiyan Style”! Beautiful spot/people, will be back!“
“Was the first time I’ve felt pleasantly surprised when I opened the bill eating out with a family of 4 in a long time. Has the cheeseburger and gyro. Both were great! Had a gluten free bun option for the cheeseburger. Highly recommend!Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options.“
“Really fun little bar, staff and clientele are great not to mention the owners who go out of their way to make you feel like family. Great entertainment regularly and affordable good food, every town needs a Kadilaks'! Also as a non-sympathetic former smoker, they must've upgraded their smoke eater system as everyone was smoking and I really didn't notice the stench! Also, I had the Italian pit beef sub with fries and both were outstanding!Parking: Parking in the rear and on street“
“Steve is a great cook. takes pride in seasoning the food he serves to people. The bartenders are on it you get a drink very quickly. I usually get the gyro which is always tasty but got the burger sub tonight & it was great. Nice to still have a smoking bar with great food. Good specials to choose from. If you want great food & are a smoker here you go try it out they won’t disappoint you.“
“Some of the best corn beef that I have ever had I’m just gonna say I had my food for takeout and the presentation of the way they put the food in my carry container. I was completely blown away. I don’t think the last time I ever had mashed peas, when I was a child, but just the way it was presented the potatoes, the peas, the sauerkraut just the way it was placed on the foil, blew me away and not being an Irish pub food was banging“
“Nice old school from the past restaurant and bar with a classic car atmosphere...small but very comfortable bar and great old school classic car decor in dining area...nice outdoor seating for warm weather...food is good with specials...this would also be a great bike destination..“

“It was ok. The service from the bartender was great and the food didn't take long to come out. I ordered 6 wings fried hard, but they weren't fried hard enough. The chicken tasted like Chinese style chicken wings, which made sense once I saw the cook. If I wanted Chinese, I wouldn't go to a bar.“

“Came in on a random Thursday night, traveling in from out of town. Looking for a spot to get some good Indian food and beer(s). I can say the lamb jalfrezi was on-point. Spicy and flavorful. Slow cooked in the way that’s hard to do from a microwave. Ingredients were clearly fresh. Full bar and decent selection of draft beers and traditional bar food. Seems like a fun neighborhood hangout spot. You’re probably going to need to park on the street or walk. Will return.“
