“Excellent meal although service was a bit odd. It's always problematic when the person taking the order is not present when the food arrives. We ended up passing the plates & drinks around until everyone had the correct order. The other problem was cheese. You would think if two of us specifically asked about cheese & specifically asked it to be omitted, the waiter would inform us about cheese in other items we ordered. Nope! Cheese heaped on two sides ordered by the two cheese-haters. Everyone seemed happy with what they ordered once it was de-cheesed.“

Disability friendly parking and seating options. Server was friendly, checked in just enough to not be overbearing, but ensured we had everything we needed.Place was clean, well lit, intriguing decor, friendly and fun environment vibes, but best of all they had a great choice of music playing overhead.“

“Planned the weekend getaway for my bf’s birthday in this town, sooooo happy to find this amazing restaurant for his big day.The atmosphere was upscale but very family friendly. Service was great even though it was very busy on a Saturday night. The server tried her best to check with us if everything went OK, I saw her kept running back and forth to the kitchen, and I’m sure the kitchen was super busy as well.Food: they have a great selection of appetizers and we seriously wanted to try all of them, we ordered tonight’s special: salmon tartar. Escargot, seared scallops, foie gras & fried calamari.Salmon tartar: love the sauce, very refreshing and it matched with the salmon so well, it comes with the crispy toasts, it gave the crunchiness from the soft salmon texture.Escargot: it wrapped inside the puff, I personally think it’s too much of the puff or not enough escargot inside. I barely tasted the escargot, I would prefer the traditional escargot dish just with garlic butter.Seared scallops: top notch! Perfectly cooked and seasoned, well done dish! Must have!Foie gras: OMG, full of favors, a lot of favors in a bite that melt in your mouth. Another Must have!Fried calamari : I love they have fried zucchini and jalapeños in it to balance out the texture from the calamari .Main entrees we had risotto, monk fish and chicken masala. Great portion. All main were a bit too salty for us, but still tasted good and we enjoyed them.All of the dishes had great presentation which I enjoyed them and think it’s important.I reserved the table online and wrote down it’s for my bf birthday celebration, they did not forget and bring out the panna cotta at the end with a candle and birthday song. Thank you for the wonderful dinner experience.Kid-friendliness: We came with 3 kids and didn’t have any problems. The server liked my youngest and kept complimenting him.“

“I came to visit the Poconos area. I'm from brooklyn NY. I consider myself a very tough critic on pizza. I was not expecting good pizza in this area, and I have to say this pizza was spectacular. “The first impression of this restaurant was not so good from exterior look, however, when my family entered inside then we changed our thought because of great attitude from people inside. Server was so kind and food was so great, particularly the pizza we had was good(I don’t know the name but showed photos and he told me name but couldn’t understand honestly). Also, price there is great after we tired high prices from water park. I truly recommend this restaurant.“

“The place is GORGEOUS. Decorated nicely for the holidays as well. The staff was great overall, with server Anthony was extremely nice and the management taking the time to talk to us about the renovations and experience there. The food was delicious. “Last time I was here The Brookside was under different ownership and that review probably would have been 2 stars. Since the new ownership has taken over they have changed some decor and brightened the place up a bit and have started doing some differently themed food days like a wing night and a southern soul food style Sundays event.The service here has been good the few times I’ve been in. I’m always greeted immediately and helped to a beverage and given a menu. I haven’t experienced any long waits to get another drink and everyone has been very friendly.This review specifically is on their wings. We were in on a wing night and got the garlic ranch wings and the Kings hot honey wings. This wing special night has a list of sauces that changes weekly. You’ll still have your staples every week but there are quite a few that rotate in and out so it doesn’t get stale. My gf loves the garlic ranch and I’m consistently trying new flavors. I also had the blackberry bbq which were very tasty, and the plain Buffalo (The OG baby) also has good flavor.These wings are nice and crispy without sacrificing the juiciness of the meat itself. They are not tiny little wings but they are also not these mammoth ones you see at some places where it’s impossible to get a proper cook on them and still have good texture.I’ll be back in soon to try out that Southern food menu, but the wings absolutely Didn’t Suck!“

“Volare is a very special place. If you are looking for a quick cheap meal with no extras, this is not the place for you. I have been going to Volare for my entire life, 40 years. The owner treats you like family. You can expect to have perfect food every time, and the friendliest service you can imagine, complete with conversation, and a true interest in how you are doing, and your family is doing. I will reiterate, the pace that this restaurant goes at is relaxed. Prepare for 2 to 3 hours for dinner. Or more if you want it! Bring good company so you can enjoy conversation, bring good wine, so you can enjoy a few drinks and allow yourself to enjoy a relaxing dinner. Volare Is a treat and an experience. And if you go into it, understanding that, you will have the best time! “Was disappointed to see this location only has 3.9 stars?!?!? I've been 5 times since they opened, I even stood in line for opening day. Every experience has been great. Food has never disappointed, staff is always welcoming and friendly. I have 0 complaints. Best sandwiches in the area IMO. Keep up the good work!!“

“My family of 6 stayed at Kalahari for my wife’s birthday. We were looking for somewhere close to eat that wasn’t at the resort. My wife found Roberto’s and it was amazing. The people were great and the food was cooked better than expected. They even gave us a free dessert for our anniversary. I highly recommend this place, it did not disappoint. We have a son in a wheelchair and had no issue getting him in and out.“
