“I recently moved back to the area after 35+ years and was happy to see Dell's! My elderly father loves his ice cream and milkshakes and I was thrilled to stop at Dell's for him. Dad got a milkshakes and I got an arctic swirl. Not your bland tasteless machine ice-cream at all. Just good old fashioned real ice-cream at reasonable prices. And what a selection! Hot dogs to funnel cakes! Better than I remembered! Thanks Dell from me and my Dad!“

“Had Sunday breakfast there with my lovely wife. This is a great blast from the past. The kind of cozy little diner that is hard to find these days. The place was clean and the staff was great. So friendly. So welcoming. We ordered a few things so we could try some different dishes. Everything was delicious. The Apple Fritter french toast was particularly decadent but I didn't have anything that wasn't top notch. Will definitely return.“

“This place is AMAZING! My mom and I are in town for a college tour, and many people were walking around with the ice cream so I suggested we give it a try. Immediately the two guys in there were delightful and very helpful and cheery. The atmosphere was so fun the moment we walked in. The flavors were amazing and I almost couldn’t choose between the Thin Mint and the Pittsburgh Pride. I ended up going with the latter. It is like brownie/oreo/cookie chunks and butterscotch. There might be another thing added. My mom got the pear flavor. We are both extremely satisfied with our choices. They did say that the flavors change up pretty often - for example, they’re getting ready for Blackberry Lemonade. But Pittsburgh Pride will always be available. So if you’re looking for a cute little dessert place after dinner, this is the place!“

“Came here today 3-26-24, on a bad rainy day I got a hot chai tea. Probably the best I've ever had. Caution it's super hot drink slow but makes it easier to enjoy lol. Nice foam on the top pretty color, sweet, nice spice. Was 4.50 for a 12oz which for how good it is they could easily raise it another 1.00. Definitely recommend and will be back!!!!“

“extremely quick place for frozen yogurt. little human interaction as the yogurt and toppings are all self serve. only thing you need to interact with somebody for is to weigh your yogurt and pay but the whole process takes less than 10 maybe even 5 minutes if you know what you want.“

The elote was delicious and with the just the right amount of fixings. We stumbled across this place on the afternoon of the eclipse and the weather was nice enough to enjoy an outside table. The street was so quiet, with very little traffic except for the street cars that ventured by so we enjoyed the sunbathed table whilst we enjoyed lunch and watched the eclipse. The service was friendly and attentive. This place took us back to the great places we frequent when in Mexico. We're so lucky to have this authentic place here in Pittsburgh. “I'm a big fan of scoops! The location is perfect for grabbing a treat after dinner in the area or on a walk. They're open all year and open late which is super convenient. I love that they carry my childhood favorites (Superman, White House cherry, grasshopper pie) and the price is super reasonable. “Flavors change often. I've come several times and always see something different. I personally love getting the Extreme, which is their version of a DQ blizzard. You can choose what base from any of the available flavors that day and add toppings!! Usually most places do vanilla as the base.Previously, I got an Extreme with a Butter Pecan base mixed with Oreo and cookie dough pieces. That was unusual and tasty, but I also highly recommend adding their new brownie cookie dough bites! That really adds something extra. Last time, I got an Extreme with vanilla ice cream mixed with Oreo, cookie dough, and brownie dough bites. Definitely yummy. Overall, I definitely keep coming back.Also it's cash only! “I came here without knowing much about it other than it has ice cream. I discovered it's more interesting than I expected. You create your own ice cream flavor and add toppings and other additions. I got a regular size custard in a waffle bowl. I combined marshmallow, white chocolate, and caramel flavors and added Oreo and cookie dough pieces. On top of that there are many "ice cream parlor only" flavors that you can't buy in the grocery store anywhere.Husband got 3 scoops, and I got the ice cream nachos. Ice cream nachos come with 2 scoops, waffle cone "nachos" and 2 toppings. Both of the things we got seemed like a great deal. As a major ice cream - especially cookie dough - fan I can't recommend this place enough. I would absolutely drive out of my way to come here again vs. Dairy Queen and other independent places.“

“This is by far my favorite ice creamery around. They are a tad more expensive but so so so worth it. Even when uber delivered for them they pack the ice cream with such care making sure in case the driver has other stops your ice cream does not melt they put ice bags with it. They've never got a single order wrong, I've tried almost all the ice creams and all are really good I see the quality. So even if a bit higher in price you won't lose my business“

“Started my Pittsburgh foodie adventures in this adorable little sit-down pizza restaurant in Shadyside! We tried the Pizza Del Re (white pizza) and Pizza Della Casa (red pizza), and both lived up to the hype! Pizza Del Re: - White pizza with mozzarella, truffle spread, & prosciutto (it comes with mushrooms too, but we got it without because my boyfriend doesn't like mushrooms) - A super rich truffle taste that was so yummy - Loved the thin crust, but there were parts that tasted a little too burnt Pizza Della Casa: - Red tomato sauce pizza with mozzarella, grape tomatoes, arugula, prosciutto, & parmigiano - I love the combination of prosciutto & arugula and it was a plus that the arugula tasted so fresh & wasn't bitter - I personally prefer red sauce over white sauce, so I liked this pizza a little bit more To top off your meal here, make sure to get their gelato for dessert! I got a small size with 2 flavors -- tiramisu and hazelnut. Both flavors were super rich and yummy and definitely satisfied my sweet tooth.“

“If you want to enjoy the best homemade ice cream.... NOT something delivered by yet another big freezer truck like everyone else, look no further!! The ice cream is amazing, and the flavors offered change with the seasons. After sampling multiple flavors, we finally settled on cookies and cream, and espresso! SOOOO delicious we got to meet the proprietor and his wife, and they're adorable... and soo gifted at their trade. “I've visited Jeni's twice in the past week because I just can't get over how good it is. My current favorite flavor is the Brown Butter Almond Brittle. It's seriously amazing. I also love the Salted Peanut Butter with chocolate flakes and Darkest Chocolate. The service is always super friendly and despite being busy most of the time, quick but not rushed.
