“It's a walk up window service ice cream shop. I know the owner, he is a top quality guy. The ice cream is excellent and as a result so are the milkshakes. My wife likes the giant snowballs, they have a literal wall of flavors to choose from. Old school candy, colorful store front, and they take credit cards/tap/apple pay.“

“Hands down the best ice cream/coffee shop! Their ice cream flavors are unique, well executed, and satisfying. They add new flavors periodically, always offering vegan options as well. My favorite is their banana nilla flavor, as well as the black raspberry and teaberry. Their coffee ice cream legitimately tastes and smells like a delicious cup of their coffee. The staff is always friendly and they have preserved that historical building so beautifully while also bringing it new life. “I go here when I'm in the mood for a sugar high and it's extremely hot outside. I grew up in Baltimore, so I still prefer snowballs, to Italian Ice or the other offerings at Rita's, but this location is closer to me than driving into Stewartstown, to Summer's Ice Cream & Snowballs. Rita's is good. I always get the Gelato because I like the combination of vanilla frozen yogurt and Italian Ice. Unfortunately, they never seem to have my two favorite flavors, Blue Raspberry and Blueberry. I opt for the Mango since they never have what I want. I think their prices are ridiculously expensive for the size cups they provide. It's just flavored, sugar water, and frozen yogurt. The other thing that irritates me is that there's a tip jar at the window. Their prices are high enough already. What is the tip jar for? It's a walk-up window; a 3-minute transaction where you order a takeaway dessert with no service involved. It's really an insult. It's not that I'm too frugal to leave a tip, but not for fast food or takeout. I would recommend Rita's for a delicious treat on a hot, summer day. If you're from Baltimore, I would recommend driving a couple of miles down the street to Summer's Ice Cream & Snowballs.“
