“Definitely a roadhouse feel inside & out which is kinda the whole point. The chef never disappoints & service is always great whether they are busy or not. Saw a Led Zep cover band there over the summer, was a great time. Not your woke-type crowd in there which is fine by us ”
“My wife and I have been to the French Manor 4 or 5 times over the past 7 years. It is our happy-place getaway in the Pocono mountains. The scenery in the fall is incredible, the staff are welcoming and excellent, and the restaurant is truly incredible. Our goal is to plan at least one weekend trip every year. I highly recommend!!”

“Love, love, love this place! The question should be what don't I recommend and the answer is NOTHING! We stayed at the b&b so had the opportunity to have several breakfasts, plus we ate dinner here a couple evenings. Mark is a fabulous chef with a grasp of fun and tasty food combinations. Breakfasts offerings were from traditional to comfort to just plain fabulous. The dinner menu is compiled weekly by Mark and it makes you want to eat here several times in order to try the various dishes. On separate occasions we had a couple of the lemon cocktails, the fois Gras appetizer, curry soup, sea bass (phenomenal), lobster pasta, prosciutto flat bread, chop and both desserts. Everything was absolutely delicious! We needed a few more nights in order to sample more of the menu! I highly recommend eating here, and if possible on more than one occasion!”

“A restaurant full of history.Incredibly fun to walk through antique shop, fascinating treasures, interesting artwork, each room had a unique flavor and ambiance. Now, the food...Great authentic German cuisine experience. Pretzel-like bread was especially delicious. Great variety of different schnitzel and German meats. Didn't order and beer, but many different options available. Fresh and made right there in the adjoining kitchen to dining area. Feels intimate and as if you're enjoying a home cooked meal.Special recognition to the experience and atmosphere. Owners are great hosts and make you feel like family.”

“A little bit pricey but the coffee is really darn good. They have some pastries that they source from a bakery that are pretty tasty as well! Definitely the best coffee in the area. Also very nice decor inside.”

“Typical diner, food was great, service was superior. Only gave 4 stars because it was nothing extraordinary. It was very good. We both had 2 eggs, potatoes, toast—one of us had bacon and one pork roll. Coffee was good. Would stop again if in the area. Tips are appreciated in cash but diner does take credit cards.”

“While visiting the area we tried the pizza here, and it was amazing! It was easy to order by phone, and we picked it up 20 minutes later. Their Garden Fresh pizza is terrific! The dough, the sauce, and the semi crispy veggies were all wonderful! Everyone we interacted with was very friendly. We highly recommended this place!”

“The Daily Bread Bakeshop is a European-style artisan bakery that opened in Mountainhome, Pennsylvania in 2003. It was founded by husband and wife Kevin & Traci Conroy. After his family relocated to the Poconos from Long Island, Kevin worked in a number of country inns; first as a waiter and then as a chef. He met Traci at the Pump House in Canadensis; she was a waitress and he was the sous chef. They married a year later and began a catering business that they ran for nine years. For years, Kevin kept his eye on a little circa-1910 shop building in Mountainhome. The Conroys finally bought it in 2002 with a dream of opening their own bakery. Kevin never worked as a baker until he opened up the bakery. He was a completely self-taught baker and chef. While Kevin spent most of his time focusing on baking all of the breads from scratch, Traci focused on baking the pies, cookies and pastries. Kevin sadly passed away in 2019, but Traci and their adult children Nicole and Philip are continuing his dream and legacy at the bakery. My family and I recently visited The Daily Bread Bakeshop while we were spending Memorial Day weekend in the Poconos. We had driven by it during other times that we stayed in the Poconos, and thought we should stop by one morning and grab something for breakfast. The place was packed when we stopped in, but the air smelled so good. The small shop had a great selection of various bread loaves, cookies, pies, croissants, bagels, rolls, cupcakes and brownies. We decided to get a loaf of Lemon Blueberry Sourdough, a loaf of Jalapeño Popper Sourdough (loaded with Cheddar Cheese and Jalapeños), and a Dark Chocolate Peppermint square. Everything that we purchased was delicious and so fresh tasting. We'll definitely be stopping back again the next time we're in the Poconos.”

“Reno's Pizza 507 is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with the delightful aroma of freshly baked pizza. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. Now, let's talk about the pizza itself. It's simply outstanding! The crust is perfectly crispy on the outside yet light and fluffy on the inside. The sauce is rich and flavorful, and the toppings are fresh and plentiful. Whether you're a fan of classic pepperoni or prefer something more adventurous like BBQ chicken, Reno's Pizza 507 has something for everyone. But it's not just the pizza that's fantastic. The menu also features a variety of other delicious options, including salads, pasta, and sandwiches. And don't even get me started on the garlic knots – they're absolutely addictive!Overall, Reno's Pizza 507 is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious, authentic pizza. The food is top-notch, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Do yourself a favor and check it out – you won't be disappointed!”
“We live right here in Mountain Home. So ths is not a “weekender” sending in a review. If it wasn’t the BEST place ever, tje locals would never go back. Aside from that, they make the absolutely most wonderful sandwiches and Rays homemade soups are fantastic. Also aside, the folks that work there go above and beyond to help you with your order. Friendly , cheerful, it’s the place you go when you need a lift, coffee or smile wise. Spend a little time there, if you want “in and out” in 10 minutes, to go a fast food place on the highway. Those of us here in town love the atmosphere and the friendship. Weekend welcome, too.”

“We have been going to the Totem Inn for the last few months, mainly for the hamburgers. They are truly incredible. There are few contenders to the flavor, quality and enjoyment one gets when eating a locally sourced handmade special seasonings, real tomato and onion all on a unique branded bun. And not a sloppy eat like many othersPrice is great. We get the bacon cheddar burger. It's the real deal .The service is impeccIble and friendly.Highly recommend.”

“Best Chinese food I've had outside of Chinatown or New Jersey. Nice friendly staff. Flavorful food. Dark brown sauces (not light) and roast pork fried rice has flavor and everything you'd expect in it (not barely cooked white rice with just onions!)Will definitely go back again and again!Wheelchair accessibility: 100% wheelchair accessible.”

“The place is GORGEOUS. Decorated nicely for the holidays as well. The staff was great overall, with server Anthony was extremely nice and the management taking the time to talk to us about the renovations and experience there. The food was delicious. We had a mountain of calamari and the braised short ribs. Will absolutely book here the next time we stay at Skytop.”
“Note: Cash only! They do have an atm.Stopped in for some breakfast sandwiches this morning--I have to say, we've been coming to the area for years and I'm pretty mad I just came in here for the first time.Gave me some ny deli vibes without the hustle-bustle, brusqueness, and city prices. Also, there's some really nice seating, self-serve coffee, the ability to buy and grind coffee beans, fresh pastries, etc. Essentially a classic deli/coffee shop, but done to perfection. Everyone I interacted with was very kind, and the food was superb (and really cheap for the quality). I'll be back! Also a note--I saw one of the more heartwarming interactions between a staff member and regular that I've ever seen. A regular came in who I gathered was going through a rough patch, and he was offered a hug, which he accepted. I tell this story because it's apparent that this is a place run by good people that care about the community. They deserve your patronage.”
“Took my mom on a Mother’s Day weekend. We stopped here for lunch while on our way somewhere. The burger I had was one of the best I’ve ever had in my life. No joke. The soup was excellent, and the fries were amazing. I watched my mom who picks at food eat almost her whole plate of salad. Highly recommend! Clean, professional, and great service!”
“Saturday night 8 pm. 5 to 10 minute wait to order. To be expected and desired. Good ice cream is an indication of a line to order. Lot’s of choices and the prices are reasonable. Nice staff working the windows. Great experience and will go back!”

“This place was amazing! We left Kalahari to have dinner in town, and we came up on this fun restaurant. The food was fresh and delicious and they had many desserts to choose from, but the best part was all the activities that they have for the kids. They were a few bouncy houses/inflatable's, rock walls, ropes, and a large gymnastics/tumble mat. The service was very pleasant. I would highly recommend this place for anyone, especially with the family!”
