“The service was with a smile the food was delicious and authentic. We had fried chicken with Mac, jerk chicken with rice and peas and plantains and everything was so delicious. We live in Delaware and we were passing through the area but we plan to make the trip again for this delicious Jamaican food. Compliments to the Chef.“
“This was my first excursion into the cuisine of Latin America, but more like Latin fusion. If your palette craves new experiences, Paladar is an amusement park of tasteful indulgences with flavors, smells and tastes that delight. We were so taken that we all shared our dishes with, "Oh, wow! You gotta try this!" From starters to entres to desserts to mixed drinks, our first time won Paladar many return visits. From the ambiance to the enthusiastic wait staff to the amazing speed in which the entres were served, Bravo Paladar. You did it right!Vegetarian options: Hardly any true vegetarian options.Parking: Depending on when you get there, parking can be hard to find as choice spots fill up at dinner hour and prolly worse Fridays and Saturdays. To save time, park at Wegmans and walk a minute or two to Paladar.“
“Calabash is another one of our frequent favorites! We stop in regularly for their Sunday brunch and BAY-BEE…They NEVER disappoint! The staff are attentive and check in throughout your dining experience to ensure you have everything you need and everyone is always so friendly. The dining and food areas are always clean and well organized. The space is large and decor is simple. This is a great open space for dining during COVID as all the tables are well spaced out allowing parties to social distance. All staff wore gloves and masks today. We loved to see Calabash doing their part in keeping their customers and staff safe. One thing about Calabash, they are always going to offer a variety of options to choose from. Choosing what to eat is the hardest part because literally everything looks so amazing. It’s all about how much space you can save in between plates. From home fries to oxtails, EVERYTHING is amazing and satisfies that Island food craving! Sunday brunch also includes bottomless mimosas and I absolutely LOVEEEE mimosas! The pancakes are fluffy and remind me of funnel cake; thy are made so perfectly every time. THIS PLACE DOES NOT MISS! The fish is always fried to a perfect golden brown and very dish is flavorful and savory.Calabash will continue to be on my list of repeats! Check them out and be sure to make it to next Sunday’s Brunch!“
“This place is Caribbean and all the best ways. Please note that when you get there the kitchen might be closed. The staff is not rude but they're also not super friendly. Anyone who has had a fantastic experience at a Caribbean eatery can tell you that most of the staff were absolutely rude to them. In fact, in some communities there is a direct correlation between the rudeness of the staff and the fantastic flavor of the food. Every time I go here when the kitchen is open I get a shrimp roti. It is fantastic. It is like chicken soup for the ravaged soul or homemade macaroni and cheese or homemade chicken pot pie on a winter's evening after a long day's work. It is fantastic. Please go get it if you can.“
“So I love Jamaican food, preferably Curry goat. I was craving some for lunch today my and Blue Lagoon was less than a minute from job. I seen it had pretty good reviews but wanted to try for my self. I was not disappointed. The owner was very nice and Holds his service and food to a very high standard for his customers. He has a open kitchen so you can see everything in the back and it was so clean. I got a curry coat platter with rice and peas Mac and cheese and a Tingz grapefruit soda. Everything was delicious I had so much food, it ended up being my dinner too! Will definitely be back very soon! I spent about $23 on my food and drink and left him a $3 tip.“
“Best take out spot in Norristown, food is fresh and delicious. Service is top notch, even the way they bundle utensils is thoughtful. Always good food, and the fact it's affordable puts it over the top for me.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs to enter premise.“
