“We stopped in after skiing at Blue with a friend. This was our first time here, and we were not disappointed. I had a draft, homemade tater tots, and honey hot bone in wings. We sat at the bar, and the bartender took great care of us. They have these cool mini add on tables, so when you eat at the bar, you don't have to lean over far to eat your order. Give the Covered Bridge Inn a try! I'll definitely be back!“
“What a hidden gem! Not a lot of parking but it’s located in the heart of a town. Was able to get a last minute reservation. The staff were extremely friendly. The atmospheres felt very homey and relaxing. Good elevated bar good and the sangria flight was incredible! If you’re in the palmerton area you NEED to stop by Joey B!!“
“Craving something savory and sweet then Claude's is the place to go. Hotdogs and fries in one side and ice cream on another. Great selection of ice cream flavors. Not your ordinary plain vanilla/chocolate, not that there's anything wrong with that. I do love variety and one of a kind concoctions and Claude did not disappoint. Also inside and outside seating available. Perfect for a nice summer day. Only issue is the long line with both, seemed a bit understaffed. They tried their best though. Definitely going to be my go to spot for ice cream when I'm in the area.“
“We went there for "prime rib night." The first time we went, we ordered our meat mid-rare, and it was closer to mid-well. When we went the second time, we emphasized mid-rare and it was perfect. I got a cup of the chili. It was more spicy than "fine dining spicy" but not unpleasantly hot. The baked beans were quite good, as were h the mashed potatoes. I'm told that reservations are not usually needed for the Thursday prime rib special, but are recommended for Saturday.“
“This is a great place with a snippet view of the ski slopes at night. During the day sweeping views from the mountain top. Sunset is incredible. Plan your visit for sunset for the best ambiance. We were seated by the prepping computers. No view at all. My salmon was rare and the waiter was absolutely pleasant taking it back. Second order perfect. Staff is friendly. Funny and fabulous. We made our res on open table for 815pm. Thankfully we were an hour early. They roll up and close the place down at 845pm“
“Solid restaurant right off the exit to Palmerton. The property has definitely improved over the years. I recommend coming here for more casual meals. It can get loud and gets pretty tight when busy or when games are on. Food was solid, too. Came here with my family for an unplanned dinner.“
“Just a little town, full of great places to eat!My dad had Fish and chips, daughter had kids hotdog meal, and I had the chicken sampler platter with onion rings and mozzarella sticks and hush puppies so the family could have the extras. They loved the onion rings and mozzarella sticks!! Everything was gone! Delicious!Wheelchair accessibility: My dads in a wheelchair. The doorway to get in is narrow. I struggled to get him in the door. Most places would see you struggling and come help. My 4yr old held the door so we could get out.Food is good, entrance hard to menuver wheelchair, but I'd do it again because my family ate everything!“
“My family visited your restaurant tonight and everything was EXCELLENT! Our waitress Brooke was great, she was very friendly and attentive, she also gave great suggestions when we had trouble deciding what to order! (Everything in the menu looked sounded SO good!!) We will definitely be back.“
“The best food prepared with the utmost care and wonderful presentation. We had a wonderful waitress that was very professional. Great drive up the mountain road, beautiful scenery. The exterior denies what wonders lay inside! Really chic decor.“
“First time eating here with a table 8 of us. Food came out all about the same time which was nice. Place was pretty crowded however its wasn't that loud so you could have a conversation. This isn't a super fancy place but its not a hole in the wall either. Overall the food was really good from the burgers to the shrimp and grits to the salmon all good. The price seemed reasonable to the portions. Making reservations again for a table of 6 can't wait. Looking forward to it will update review when were done.“
“My wife and I stopped in for late lunch. The menu is very interesting- great variety. My wife ordered the kim chi fried rice and I ordered the pork pastrami sandwich. For an appetizer, we ordered the 1-lb chicken wings (garlic parmesan). The kim chi had a nice kick but still very tasty. My pork pastrami was even better than a regular pastrami- pork was lean, tender and very flavorful. The wings were huge and very juicy and tasty. We had enough for leftovers! Service was excellent. Our server was attentive and regularly checked on us. I'm so glad we were able to stop in. We walked to try it 2 years ago when we were here but it was packed. Well worth the stop!“
“Stone Row Pub & Eatery was a great place to eat and get drinks here in Jim Thorpe. My wife and I got some deviled eggs and the mezze platter. The eggs were few, but delicious! I was originally skeptical, especially of the wasabi. My skepticism melted away as I ate them, enjoying a well balanced flavor between the balsamic glaze, wasabi, and egg. The mezze platter was even more satisfying, with all homemade selections of hummus, parsley and basil laden oil, roasted tomatoes, and freshly made foccacia. It wasn't just the quality of the food that made us love this place, but also of the service provided by the staff. They asked about whether we had food allergies and explained that they would accommodate those by ensuring no cross-contamination. We highly recommend this restaurant and hope you enjoy it as much as we did!Dietary restrictions: They are very interested in accomadating any food allergies! I am allergic to lettuce and they removed any lettuce incuded in our dishes or seperating it so that my wife could still enjoy it. They were the mist accomadating restaurant I've ever been to in this regard!“
“Every time we are in the area we make an effort to stop here for a meal or drink. Peaceful, calming, thought-invoking, delicious. The food is excellent from flavor to presentation. The service is 5 star every time. Strolling the gallery with a glass of wine and peeking into the secret jazz room is always an adventure, time after time. The "indoor" stream is a must see. Unique outdoor back patio is lovely. Never crowded, and nice to have a large parking lot!“
“Breakfast is great here. Portions are more than adequate and the homefries are cooked to buttery perfection. The Big Breakfast Country View Special is a ridiculous amount of food for a super reasonable price. It can get a little loud when it's busy but the food makes it worthwhile. The waitresses are always friendly and attentive too.Parking: More parking available to the left and behind the building.“
“The people that own this restaurant are phenomenal hosts. They can never do enough to make sure you're satisfied and your drinks are full. The food is excellent!Parking: There are metered spots right on the street and free parking across the street behind the storefrontsWheelchair accessibility: There are 3 steps in and no ramp“
“The best food prepared with the utmost care and wonderful presentation. We had a wonderful waitress that was very professional. Great drive up the mountain road, beautiful scenery. The exterior denies what wonders lay inside! Really chic decor.“
“Good food, slightly above the "good pub food" experience. Coconut shrimp and pretzel sticks were good, as was the open face roast beef dinner. Family liked the drink specials they had too! Good night out, good food, reasonable price. Recommend a try!“
“Had an awesome experience at Ouros, the food was phenomenal, the atmosphere was great, and the service was excellent! Bonus points for the band playing! The chicken nachos are way bigger than expected, and the wagyu sliders are out of this world good! Highly recommend both dishes!“
“This place is totally awesome, The food is always served hot and fresh, The staff is very friendly I highly encourage you to try some great food here you won't be disappointed, Make sure you check out the weekly specials can't too,“
“The experience that I had/have is the staff is friendly, food is out of this world!!!!! Prices are good. They have live entertainment now and then, karaoke and some decent pool players. In other words get your azz over to the tavern and have a great time“
“This is my go to place if I want a nice burger with fries that will fill me for the night! The bills favorite burger is my favorite you can't go wrong! And honestly all of the appetizers are great tasting and portioned for the price! And the staff is always friendly! Been going here for years and will continue to!“
“We absolutely loved it here. 7 outta-towners were welcomed with a smile from not just the staff, but others there for breakfast too. Our server who seemed to run the whole place was nothing short of amazing. Super friendly and helped tend to our three kids who sat at the counter while the four adults sat at a booth. All the foods were delicious, but in particular the pancakes were our favorite. Fluffy throughout with the slightest bit of crunch around the edges. We all agreed these were a contender for best pancake anywhere. My only regret is we did not tip enough for our wonderful server. We were in a bit of a rush to get out of there and we did the math wrong. Please forgive us! We will be back and we'll get ya then. “
“Thanks to our waitress, Lindsey, who ROCKED in every way; she was pleasant, speedy, efficient and worth every tip.The heart of a restaurant bar business is the magician in the kitchen. This particular place has one woman in the back of the house named JO, who preps, prepares, presents really fresh, cooked to order specialty foods done her way.Special shout out to her great food! The menu is extensive but we knew right away the bowl of Philly cheeseburger soup would be full of ingredients and tasty. The cheese base, peppers, burger crumbles, etc were substantial and satisfying. $5Followed by a 8 ounce loaded OPI (old post inn) cheeseburger topped with fresh romaine, mushrooms, sliced onion, tomato, 2 pieces of slab bacon, all presented on a long piece of fresh French bread sliced roll. $11Added an order of fried Zucchini fries (10), $5.49.A few specialty Summer cocktails: Blueberry lemonade, $8.50 and a Watermelon cooler, $8.50 plus a few Yuenglings refreshed us while watching the THE GROOVE band on the new covered outdoor patio.Great place with a long history of customer satisfaction.“
“Wow talk about a chimichanga! I added a jalapeño for some perspective. Never seen one this big. This place was delicious. And service was very friendly. My SO had the taco/empanada with rice and beans combo and complimented everything as well!Just make sure you know everything is served 'plain'. You need to add each thing you want. Can be good for picky eaters. But the salsa were delicious (and had a decent kick to them), my favorite was the cilantro jalapeño. Next time I want to try the Mexi Rico chipotle if they have it (sadly out this time).Reasonably priced and portions and very respectable.First time here and definitely won't be our last.“
“Great little drive in. I've enjoyed everything I've had so far. I've had a couple different hot dogs. Even one topped with Mac and cheese! That's was pretty good. Cheese fries were good too. They have turkey hill ice cream and a myriad of flavors. They also have multiple soft serve flavors. My favorite is vanilla soft serve with wet walnut topping. They are always generous with the topping. My dad likes the crab cake sandwich and my niece loves the bacon hamburger. It's a great summer treat.“
“As a wedding photographer, I've had the pleasure of working at The Olde Homestead in Allentown back in October, and what absolute delight! From the perspective of someone who is constantly on the lookout for stunning backdrops and unique photo opportunities, this venue is a dream come true. The rustic charm of The Olde Homestead is unmatched, providing the perfect setting for capturing timeless and romantic moments. The staff is always incredibly helpful and attentive, ensuring that every couple's vision is brought to life seamlessly.Overall, The Olde Homestead is an absolute gem of a venue, and I highly recommend it to any couple looking for a picturesque setting for their special day.“
“Good food. But....it's a bar in Northampton. Just ordered the Cuban sandwich.price went up to $11 dollars and it no longer includes fries. Really? Bartenders inattentive and rude. Been going here for 10years. Never again will they see a dime of my money.Update. Much improved service and food quality consistency. Changed rating.“
“We were in Jim Thorpe and for some reason all the ice cream places close at 7 pm which unless you're eating super early and super fast means they are closed by the time you are out of dinner. So I jumped online and found this place. A little drive and here we were at this cute place. Loved my shake and loved my chocolate milk I brought home to drink a few days later, inside was just adorable. The place to come if you want dessert in the area! Service was good.“
“Awesome down to earth local watering hole! Nice big bar, Ryan the bartender makes AWESOME Long Islands! All the regular patrons are super nice and talkative. Food is great. Homemade pizza which is one of my favorite, wings are awesome, wing night is Thursday btw. Has an ice cream shop in the front of the building open seasonally. Just all around fun and down to earth place to to hang out drink a few beers and eat some bomb food. Definitely worth checking out! Also they have awesome servers there too. Awesome service!Parking: Huge parking lot. Never have a hard time to find a spot.“
“Most amazing BBQ I have ever had up north! I had a pulled-pork sandwich with their sweet-apple BBQ sauce. You get a massive sandwich for the price, and the sauce was delicious. There were four different sauces to choose from, but I can't remember them all at the moment. If you are in the area and like a good BBQ sandwich, this is a must try.“
“Now this place is pure local gold! If you are camping down the street at the lot lizard your gonna wanna stop In here. They look like they have good wings. Have I had the wings? No. But just by the look of the inside you know they have that 3 week old fryer oil that just adds something to all there fried food. The people there are just an awesome crew... You feel like you just walked into the show cheers. They say there not much to do in that area except meth and drinking cold beer ... This place has at least one of them. 10/10 would do again“
“First time there, absolutely loved itService was great. Food was amazingWe had the cheesesteak egg rollsI had the carbon county tortellini ala Bonnie and he had the Sicilian meatloafHad the chocolate truffle cake - absolutely deliciousParking: Parking near restaurant was hard to find, you may have to walk a little“
“Moya is a gem of a restaurant here in Jim Thorpe. The menu, thankfulky, is limited and focuses on what they want to do any given week thereby allowing them to focus their energies. The short ribs are not to be missed, but I say that having had many things from their menu over the years and never once being disappointed be it seafood or meat. Seating has its limits so reservations are strongly recommended. They've recently opened up an upstairs area for drinks and some dining overflow. There is nothing bad or even mediocre here. They strive for excellence and reach it. This restaurant is *STRONGLY* recommended if you are going to visit our town!“
“We had our wedding & reception at West End Saloon on Oct 7, 2023. It was the most beautiful & intimate spot we had found for our ceremony. It was an absolute pleasure working with Sheri Grimm. Food was amazing, as well as atmosphere. I recommend anybody looking for a venue, to check out West End saloon’s beautiful hidden gem in the back.!“
