“We came for lunch around 1-2PM for a party of 2. It wasn't very busy, maybe 1 or 2 tables were occupied. We were seated immediately and given a takeout menu to look at.We ordered the Dan Dan Noodles and Steamed Pork Dumplings for our appetizers. For my main dish, I ordered the Braised Brisket with Lightly Fried Tofu in Hot Pot.The Dan Dan Noodles came out first. It was quite a large serving and could probably pass as a entree dish. Even sharing between the two of us, we were almost nearly full by the time the entrees came out. The noodles were good, but a little spicy! It did taste like chili oil as well. If you're not a fan of spicy food, you may not enjoy this dish. The Steamed Pork Dumplings came out next. There were 6 pieces total. I honestly can't remember too much about the dumplings--not bad but not good. The Braised Brisket with Lightly Fried Tofu in Hot Pot was quite delicious. It is a soup-based dish and there's plenty of it to share. The broth was delicious, though a little on the saltier side. The brisket was a little tough but still good. It does have skin attached to some of the brisket pieces, which I didn't quite enjoy, but there were sufficient pieces without the skin also. The tofu is firm, and as the name of the dish suggests, lightly fried. It tasted good but I wonder if a softer tofu would complement the dish better.Overall, Cheng Du was a nice little spot to stop in for authentic Chinese dishes. The dishes have big serving sizes, so I would recommend ordering less than you would think. We ended up taking most, if not all, of our entrees home. The food was good and the staff were quick and friendly.“
“The most important thing you need to know when placing an order by calling in, they answer they phone either just "Hello" or "Yeh" (not "China Wok") ... maybe they have multiple names on multiple sites and to answer the phone with any name they use would be more confusingThe people that run the business are very niceThe food is consistent, delicious, provided in generous quantities, and ready quickly.I always order extra for lunch leftovers the next day. Finally, I sometimes forget that they are closed on Monday but still answer the phone, which is also slightly confusing... but it saves them the expense of paying for another phone plan and they pass the savings along to you.Parking: A small parking lot, but you should always be able to find a quick in and out spot“
“Looking for an exceptional Chinese takeout experience? Look no further than this gem. Audrey, the welcoming face behind the counter, sets the tone with her genuine warmth and personalized service. The portions are sizable and well worth the affordable prices. But what truly impresses is the consistently flavorful and fresh food. Whether you're craving classic favorites or daring to try something new, this place delivers every time. Hands down the best Chinese takeout within a 30-minute radius. Audrey and the team have perfected the art of creating a welcoming atmosphere and delicious cuisine, making each visit a treat worth savoring.“
“My husband and I stopped here when we were in the area and the food did not dissapoint! We ordered the Hot and Sour Soup, Ban Ban Noodles, "Lamb" w/ Cumin Kabobs, and the Phoenix and Dragon Fly Together (Gen Taos' Chick'n + Shrimp). Everything was great! We were a little sad that they no longer offer a buffet, but it's okay - our server told us they only offer it on holidays. There is so much variety on the menu and if you are having trouble choosing, like we did, the servers are great at recommending items. The atmosphere is a little lackluster but I understand restaurants, especially vegan establishments, are so much work to begin with. We will definitely be visiting again!Vegetarian options: The entire menu is vegan. Woohoo!!“
“We were looking for Chinese delivery and this food was outstanding as well as quick. I got the coconut shrimp...OMG..delish. Two shrimp filled me up. We also got the classic General Tso chicken, shrimp rolls, and steamed dumplings for all to share. The food was loved by all. Great job.“
“My wife and I went for our first time tonight and was blown away! The food was incredible and very fresh, and the service (Gwen was our waitress) was amazing! We had no wait for a table and restaurant is very clean! We will be coming back often and recommending!“
“Relatively hip and less expensive dining option for hibachi, in house rolled sushi, Japanese and Chinese cuisine. Usually not extremely busy. Friendly staff, very fast service typically, friendly prices that equate to a very decent meal before maybe going to the regal theater just around the corner for a dinner and movie night that won't kill your wallet these days. If you're looking for a dine in option (take out/delivery available as well) that's not formal or overpriced, yet still decent Chinese/Japanese food, this is definitely a great choice.“
“All I have to say is WOW! I'm always in the lookout for good Chinese food and I've found a hole in the wall place that's great. Fresh, hot & flavorful. I would suggest ordering ahead of time as this place is steady busy.“
“We were traveling through and hit the jackpot here. Crab Rangoon and Egg roll were very good. But the sushi stole the show! Spicy salmon crunch was very good...the dynamite was exceptional...we all agreed the New Year was our favorite. There were so many other items we wanted to try. Great food. Great friendly service! Thank you!“
“Everything here is great. The sushi is always well made and so is all the other Asian food. The servers are very personable and have a great knowledge of the menu. We have been coming here for years.Vegetarian options: California rolls, vegetable dishes“
“The food at Hong Kong restaurant is delicious and the service is top notch. I have ordered food there many times and I'm always very favorably impressed. There are a few small tables and chairs inside. You can eat inside if you want, but this restaurant is set up primarily for takeout and delivery.“
“Well, we went here for pick up after hearing good things. The food was okay. The pork fried rice was flavorful, but the rice seemed a bit overcooked. Daughter liked her beef lo mein just fine. The beef and black bean sauce was not what hubby and I are used to when we go to Chinatown. Very few black beans, actually, mostly chopped veggies and some beef. The flavor was good, but they did not give us the white rice it was supposed to come with. The service was fast.“
“A very nice, quiet, casual eatery in Media, PA. A great place to meet when you want to enjoy a lovely meal, and be able to have a conversation at the same time. Unlike most area restaurants with loud background music or bands. The food is spot on, fresh and delicious. The service is wonderful. All staff are delightful and caring. Additionally, they make one Hell of a delicious Asian Pear Sakatini! :)“
“Didn’t go there ordered from door dash so I can’t rate atmosphere . I added things in the order and I got all the extra things I asked for in the specialInstructions. Most places ignore that or don’t allow you to do that. The food is delicious they package everything so nicely I’ve only ordered two times but this place is my new go to! Give them a try youWon’t be disappointed.“
“By far my favorite chinese place ever. The food is absolutely fantastic, and the staff is extremely attentive. Any time I want asian food, this is exactly where I go.Parking: In the township of media, so parking is quite limited. There are garages around and meters on both sides of the street. There is also a trolley that goes through very often, which can make it difficult to quickly run in and out.“
“We recently lost our Aunt and Da Shin was her favorite place to go, so on the night before her funeral, a bunch of family went in for dinner! The service was great and the food was just as good! We gave 4-stars because the atmosphere could use some cosmetic updating but other than that, it's a great local place to get some good Chinese food with attentive service!“
“We ordered take out 3/15/24 for dinner we had an order of crab Rangoon to start, I had shrimp in garlic sauce my son had General Tso’s chicken extra spicy and my husband had chicken in garlic sauce all were combination entrees. We were very pleased, everything was absolutely delicious from the crab Rangoon, egg rolls that came with our meals. It was absolutely delicious since my son & I became loyal customers since 2012.“
“Just moved into the area and couldn't find a good restaurant with real authentic chinese food until I came across New Leaf. The food is always great and I am never disappointed, price is fair, parking outside & the customer service has always been pleasant. Would recommend this place to anyone who lives around the area looking for real authentic chinese food without having to go into chinatown.“
“When I took my mom out for lunch I was not expecting anything spectacular, but we were both surprised! From the moment we walked in we were accommodated beyond our expectations. Skylar led us to our table and made sure we had everything we needed. Xander was our server, and he was super helpful in deciding which meals to choose. My mom is particular with cocktails, and he made an old fashioned and later an espresso martini that really impressed her. Looking forward to bringing back family and friends.Vegetarian options: Love the Buddha’s Feast!“
“I really like this restaurant. I went out with my family.it was a great experience.my family really enjoyed it.it was cheap but great.it takes a couple of mins but it looks really fresh.if your unpatient you might not like this restaurant.if you are you would probably will hopefully.if you like fortune cookies you get them before you even ask them, they can read your mind! So yeah I really recommend this restaurant if you are a chicken or sushi person.this is my I recommend this restaurant.“
“This place is top notch Asian food! We live twenty minutes to half an hour away, and find this restaurant worth the drive! Food, ambiance, and service are TOP NOTCH! Everything on the menu is delicious, and prepared to perfection! Cocktails are delicious! Mark, Michelle, and all the staff are amazing! Keep up the great job!“
“Nice staff I ordered a sweet and sour chicken combo plater the fried rice and were fine, but the breaded chicken was very good very moist nice portions, usually I order pork but this place only had the chicken and i find most places its dry or rubbery !“
“I’ve passed this place so many times and finally stopped and I’m glad we did. The food is amazing, the staff is extremely friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing. Everything on the menu looks good and Diana helped suggest what to order. All of the food is extremely flavorful and aromatic. The wood ear mushroom & pepper sauce is very refreshing and is a nice palette cleanser, had some spicy cucumber added to it and it was fantastic. We were also recommended the fried pork belly with leek which has a nice sweet and slightly peppery spice. Lastly the family stew is incredible. It has beef, shrimp, fish, leek, chili, pretty much ever flavor you can imagine with a nice spicy oily broth, one of the most flavorful Chinese dishes I’ve had. We will definitely be coming back, there was not a single thing I could complain about.“
“Great pho!! I got the beef stew pho, husband got the deluxe. Got a few appetizers too. The pho was incredible, the meat was very tender! The dumplings were delicious. I wasn’t too big of a fan of my nieces meals. The fried chicken and grilled shrimp.“
“This was my late mother's favorite restaurant, and also my teenage son's favorite restaurant. I didn't realize that they were going to close this beautiful location, so it was very special that we went there for my son's birthday celebration! They were slammed because of all the people who were trying to get one last amazing meal before they close on March 19, 2024, but the food remained absolutely amazing, flavorful, and beautifully presented! “
“This has been our family's go-to takeout place for the past 8 years. My kids have grown up loving their "dippy chicken" (sweet and sour), and their lo mein has gotten us all through some bad days. Feeling down? Go get yourself some lo mein from Mayflower, make yourself a cup of tea at home, and cozy up under a soft blanket. If I'm having an especially rough day, a side order of steamed vegetables and some crab rangoons can make the world feel a little better. My youngest child says the only way he likes cashews is when he has the cashew chicken from Mayflower. My husband, without fail, orders the bourbon chicken every time. Even when he says he might want to switch it up, we all know he'll still end up ordering the bourbon chicken. For good reason - it is incredibly good! I usually order their pad thai. I know, they are not listed as a thai food place, but they still make the best pad thai I've had within a 20 mile radius! I like to get mine extra spicy so it has a little kick. Their Mongolian beef is good. I've gone through a few phases where I'll prefer their Schezuan chicken or hunan chicken, or I'll feel like trying something a bit different - everything I've tried has been good. I will say that I prefer the white rice over fried, I don't order the general tsao's very often because I find it a little too sweet, and while I don't mind their boneless spare ribs, they aren't something I order often as they can be a little dry, but those are all personal preferences. Also, thank goodness for online ordering! I have anxiety and trouble hearing, which can make talking on the phone or placing orders in person nearly impossible at times, so I greatly appreciate the ability to click a few buttons and know that my order will be ready quickly. That said, the people are always very friendly, their delivery driver always greets me with a smile, and it's clear that a lot of care is put into their business. I look forward to many more years, knowing if I ever need a little joy through the day, an order from Mayflower is a great place to start.“
“One of our favorite local establishments! Our family dines with and takes out on the regular. Their food is fresh, delicious and service is impeccable. Whether you are looking for japanese, chinese or even thai options, Wasabi2 has it covered.“
“I did pick up last week, and I was extremely happy with my order. This is the first place that the sushi was still good after making the 30-minute drive home. When I went in to pick it up, everybody there was extremely kind and polite. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.“
“When I worked at South Penn Lock up the street we would order and pick up almost every week. Loved their Singapore Street Noodles! Their Egg rolls & Wonton soup was also good. Also their Sweet & Sour Chicken and General Tso's Chicken was good.“
“Took family to this place to try and it was great, the service was great food was brought out fast and hot. The main dishes were very well made and fresh ate around 4 was full the rest of the night.if u get a chance eat here you won't regret it.“
“Forever was the first Chinese restaurant we discovered after we moved from NJ to Mainline Philly in 2017. We quickly got hooked on their refined Szechuan style Chinese dishes. They are very tasteful but less spicy than in China That's perfect to our tastes. We frequently saw many Chinese students in Philly driving out to dine in Forever. And we also kept coming back. During COVID 19 pandemic we were quite worried that the restaurant might close the door. So we tried to come to eat if allowed or take out if dinning in was not possible. Over time I developed some favorite dishes and anytime I went, I always got exactly the same style and taste for my dishes. The consistency has been amazing! In my view, Forever is the best Chinese restaurant outside I476 around KOP and along Mainline.“
“The general tso's sauce IS the best! I get the general tso's tofu (don't knock it till ya try it) and it's great every single time. Their tofu(or whatever)+ broccoli (brown sauce) is really good as well. I don't usually get the fried rice but I recall it being decent. Not a sit in restaurant and it isn't the most welcoming store front as another person as mentioned, but the food is fast and delicious and I have never had a single issue.Vegetarian options: General tso's tofu“
“OMG ! They truly live up their name, Bombay Dhabba. We are from Bombay, and we missed authentic street style Bombay food. Once we tried them and then our search ended. They serve tasty and delicious Bombay food. We only like the Audubon one Bombay Dhabba. ?“
“Oriental Pearl is our go to Chinese Restaurant. The food is ready super fast and everything is always hot and delicious. Our orders are always correct and no matter what we order, it tastes fantastic. We refuse to go to any other Chinese restaurant.Parking: Weeknights can be a little challenging for parking but it usually opens up with a space quickly.“
“I have now visited Great China a handful of times and I have to say this is now my go-to Chinese place in West Chester. The pricing is unbeatable and the quality of the food is great! I have order the lunch special shrimp in lobster sauce, chicken and broccoli and the shrimp dumplings on various occasions and every time it is delicious! The egg rolls are great too! The employees are always friendly and prompt. I cant say enough good things! Highly recommend.“
“Looking at some of the other reviews, I feel like these people ordered from another restaurant or are just trying to sabotage. This place is fantastic. I don't commonly review because I only go out of my way to do it when warranted. My wife has not been happy with a single Chinese restaurant in the Philadelphia area until we found this one. Where we live, I cross my fingers every time, hoping we're still in their delivery range. I guess some people need their food MSG'd to hell rather than enjoying actual ingredients. If the latter is what you want, this is the place.“
“This has to be one of the greatest chinese/asian restaurants of all time. When I the reviews at the first time, I have to admit I was skeptical, but after eating there I have a few points I NEED to go over.1. The food is some of the best food I have eaten, the perfect mix between sweet and savory.2. The overall atmosphere just feels like home and a super cozy place to be in.3. Adding on to that the people there are super friendly, props to the owners running the show.4. Really clean, the floors and tables were all spotless and I really appreciate the little things put in, its a thing you don't really notice but gives me a strange appreciation for the place. If you stop by media, you HAVE to go here, you wont regret it.“
“I adore this restaurant, & have for many many years. Have given gift certificates to family members for many occasions . Delicious food, wonderful people, NEVER received a bad meal. Absolutely highly recommend this restaurant. Very quaint!“
“I just moved into the area of west Chester and I was craving Chinese food . The food was amazing it was the best Chinese food out of all the ones that I have been . They are so polite everything is perfect I recommend coming here for pick up or delivery ?“
“This is our go-to local spot for quite decent Chinese food. The Roast Pork w/mixed veggies is great, and the Singapore Chow Mai Fun is the best in the area. Tonight we had 2 combination platters, 2 small soups, and the Sing. Mai Fun for under $45. Delish!“
“Stopped by Golden Key for a quick take out meal and it was great. I found what I wanted...Shrimp Fried Rice & Shrimp Roll...and I was pleased with my choices. The wait wasn't long...the price super and the taste was delicious. I will visit Golden Key again when I am looking for Chinese Food take-out.“
“Every visit has been amazing! After every visit, I've realized we were so excited when we got the sushi that I didn't take a single picture of it.This happened yet again tonight... so here is a picture of our receipt and our sushi loving adorable son! We'd get all these rolls again, the last few visits we've gotten the Amazing Tuna and the Geisha rolls while trying a rotation of their other specialty rolls. The Amazing Tuna~ has the BEST sauces 100%Geisha~ great texture, nice go to rollAsuka Bazooka~ we tend to like creative flavor melds but we never would have thought of adding bacon to sushi before and it really works. The jalapeños were a bit spicy, but it was well balanced.Three Musketeers~ visually it looks like too much to tobiko but when you eat a piece it melds perfectly with the quantity of fish in the roll.Tempura Lobster~ was good and exactly as described. It just maybe needed another layer of flavor or texture to really make it sing like the other rolls we enjoyed. The best part of the night was when our son got 'hired' to advertise! He truly does Eat. Sleep. Sushi. Repeat. and he LOVES the Poseidon sushi. The server and manager were great, esp with him.Our drinks were never empty, and they did a wonderful job being present without being intrusive. Can't wait to come back!“
