It was mixed bag. The pork egg rolls were nothing but the dough wrap with a smear of pork inside. The kung po chicken was watery and lacked the traditional spiciness. The house special lo mein lacked flavor. Vegetable fried rice was very good. The orange chicken and Dragon & Phoenix was fabulous. Fried dumplings were delicate and very tasty.
I don't expect much from Chinese takeout. However, there is always one dish that the takeout shops do well and is always worth a try. The go to dish is wings and fried rice which is unpretentious and satisfying when done well. The wings are crispy and hot from the fryer. Rice is seasoned and well caramelized and with just enough moisture. The order was for takeout and ready to be picked up well within 10 mins. Its not fancy, but its fast and a good value for $11.90.
