“Mabu is a neighborhood gem with intimate ambience, incredible food, and just a real sense of taste in everything from the decor to menu curation. It’s a French countryside vibe… and extremely affordable. BYOB helps. The sheppards pie, duck confit, ratatouille, and omg the BANANA PUDDING! I secretly don’t want to tell people about it, so it can remain in this state of perfection for my family’s personal use… but I also hope they stay open and need more foot traffic! Food takes a while to come… but so what? This place is for lingering and enjoyment.“
“Ended up walking here from Wells Fargo Center during Wrestlemania 40 weekend before Night One of Wrestlemania. They put some Wrestlemania/WWE decorations up and most of the staff/waitresses were wearing WWE shirts/WWE Superstar shirts.Excellent service! I ended getting the fried flounder which was two HUGE pieces! I'm sure their portions were huge for everything else. Sadly, I could not finish, but it definitely filled me up for the next several hours. I wish I had room for one of their cheesecakes, which is displayed up front.Pretty big place with plenty of parking outside. Highly recommended!“
“Our dinner at this lil Italian spot La Nonna was great. The space is cute and well decorated, it’s great for a nice date. Our service was friendly and the food came out fast. The food was great and a nice portion.I got lasagna, its meat sauce was really good. The lasagna was layered well. My date got gnocchis and said the texture of the noodles were perfect. 4/5 for the food.Depending on what time you come the place can fill up so make sure you have a reservation. If you do just walk-in it needs to be right when the restaurant opens. We had tried to walk in in the past and couldn’t get a table. This place is BYOB and they only take cash or Venmo.“
“The food was very very good, I recommend the jalapeno cornbread and the bacon honey biscuits. My wife's ny strip with black truffle bernaise sauce was incredible. My Nashville hot chicken hen was recommend by our server and she was 100% right. The beer n cocktails menu was awesome and the local brewed beers were awesome. I recommend the double chocolate porter. The staff was super friendly and accommodating since we had two little kids with us, 10yr old n a 3yr old. They made smaller children's portions of the Royale with cheese burger for my oldest son and a small kids portion of spaghetti n meatballs. The chef was so nice that he insisted on sending a dessert of chocolate chip cookie skillet with ice cream out to us for my son's. It was greatly appreciated I will absolutely make the butcher bar our spot to eat on every trip back to Philadelphia. Next time we go we want to try the Through which is there sampler of all things meat.... we seen it and it looked incredible. Thank you to everyone at this establishment who made the visit there a great one.“
“Absolutely loved my experience at this charming little restaurant! The omelette was delicious, perfectly cooked, and the tator tots were a delightful addition. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the staff couldn't have been more attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back for more!“
“Excellent brewery in the area, solid list of different type of beers not just the 700 IPAs that the brewery around the corner offers. Food is fantastic, all priced extremely reasonable. Party of three with an app, dinner and several beers was around 100 bucks. Within walking distance of the Fillmore and Brooklyn bowl. My new favorite go to since liquid arts closed down“
“Huge shout out to Allie, Sheila, Liz and Jeff for an AMAZING night! My husband and I walked in off the street purely from a recommendation and consider ourselves forever customers. The staff was phenomenal, the food was spectacular and the environment just right. We cannot thank you enough for a beautiful evening and look forward to MANY more!“
“We went there on Saturday, me and hubs, and had a very nice lunch. He ordered the cheese grits with fried whiting and I had the breakfast platter with potatoes, eggs and sausages. All of the food was delicious and we will be going back again soon; we even ordered two fish sandwiches to go! The service was very good and we were informed of what they were out of as well as what the specials were. The dining area is very small, yet it has a warmth to it. I understand the place used to be a take out restaurant because of the limited space. All in all an enjoyable Saturday.“
“Wow first time here and all I can say is yum! My nail technician down the road recommended them to me and it was a perfect rainy day for some Pho. My food was ready in just 10 mins, & I was happy they didn’t forget anything in the bag cause that happens sometimes. I was delighted to see extra sriracha and hoisin sauce! I got the fried pork dumplings and Beef Brisket Pho. Both were 10/10! The dumpling sauce is perfectly sweet and vinegary, and the brisket was nice a tender, which was my technician’s recommendation. Normally I get chicken but now I think I’ll be getting that instead! The serving of Pho is also more than generous, I’ll be having it as leftovers. I do recommend reheating your broth on the stove top though if you do take out, as it was a little difficult breaking up my noodles but that’s just because my broth lost it’s heat during the drive home. Also got a Taro Bubble Tea as my drink and wow my heart!!! It’s one of the best I’ve had, really delicious! The ladies working inside were also very polite and quick service. Thank you Pho Palace I will be back!“
“First time customer here! This food was amazing. I ordered my daughter the ‘Grilled Atlantic Salmon’, with Mac & cheese, & Dirty Turkey Rice!!? She’s a picky eater and she enjoyed every bit of it! The Mac was Very tasteful btw!!! I ordered myself the ‘ General Bros Salmon & Crab Fried Rice; also the ‘Seafood Pasta Salad! It was soooo good man lol but seriously!!!I put my meal in a pan/oven because I wanted to get freshened up for dinner ( I knew I’d be a while so I wanted to keep my food nice & warm). Look how much is in that container, I was able to fill an entire pan! ?This will last me for at least two servings or three!!! We Paid $55 for everything! It was worth the money. We will most definitely be back ‼️ Thanks Floyds?“
“A busy, mostly carry out service with good food and friendly service. There's about four tables you can sit and eat at after ordering at the counter. Had Bacon, eggs, and grits, one of my diner go-to breakfasts, and it was served quickly with nice fresh ingredients. The eggs were perfectly cooked over medium and they gave plenty of bacon“
“So, this is good simple breakfast. Not Sabrina's or Green Eggs and Ham but it is much less expensive and no wait. You are going to get a cheese omelette with home fries and toast for 4.95. Nice and consistent and fast. The place is very clean and the owners even though they may not have the best English are accommodating.“
“Great food, great sauce. Really good place for quick and easy food. The sauces are very good, and you have a good ammount of options to choose from. It’s also pretty cheap, for $10-$11 you can get rice, vegetables, and a lot of chicken. If you’re looking for something quick, easy, cheap, and good then come here. The service is also friendly and fast. I recommend this place“
“Bar Hygee is a true gem of a place; it dazzles in every sense. From the thoughtful whimsicality of the decor to the curated comfort and coziness of the atmosphere to the impeccable, exceptionally warm service (shout out to Morgan- an absolute dynamo!) to the purposefully playful and out-of-this-world delicious drinks & dishes, Stu and his visionary, industrious team have created a textbook manifestation of the concept from which this place takes its name. THANK YOU for the fabulous swag ;) and for hosting us with such generosity of spirit! We'll be back again and again!“
