visited Saturday to try the cheesesteak and chicken sandwiches I'd read about. Great bar, neighborhood spot. Mario the bartender could not have been more friendly and welcoming. The cook, Shorty, made awesome cheesesteaks and chicken sandwiches. Good beer selection, too. All around a great stop, I will definitely be back!
This is the diviest dive I have ever been to. The air is thick with smoke, but they don't sell smokes. There are two women to like twenty-three men. The door SEEMS to lock from the inside, but it doesn't really. They checked to make sure it opens while I had my pants at my ankles like a little kid.Respect the pool table.No complaints.

This Bar is one of the best bars in South Philly. The owner treats everybody like family. A good bar to visit when you come to Philadelphia. Beers is always cold and the crowd is friendly. Packed with locals on a Friday or Saturday night. Great spot to watch a ball game or shoot pool. Use Uber parking is tough but if you drive you will find a spot. Cheers to Grumpy's Tavern.
