“Pretty authetic mexican barbacoa from Capulhuac, mexico state. It gets pretty busy on weekends and they warn if kitchen is getting busy. Barbacoa is pretty good and I was happily surprised to find that sweet tamales are the state of Mexico style: "canarios", made of rice instead or corn with a pretty soft and fluffy texture.“

We originally fell in love with the birria tacos back in the food truck days - honestly haven't had a bad dish. The tortas are tasty and filling - chorizo is my go to right now. And there is just something special about their chips w/ guac.

“@halal_mexican is a hidden gem in Philadelphia that has some of the best HALAL Mexican cuisine that I’ve ever tasted. I love that I was able to find a Mexican halal spot. Pictured: -Flautas -Shrimp Chimichanga -Mini Corn on the Cob -Chicken Tacos -Steak Burrito Bowl My favorite item from there has to be the flautas. It’s a deep fried rolled chicken tacos served with pico de gallo and sour cream. Highly recommend this restaurant to all those seeking a tasty mexican restaurant with good service and halal food! “Fantastic meal! For drinks we had a bat bite & mai tai. Everything we tried for food was AMAZING. Service was friendly and great at giving us details about the menu. The neighborhood is not the best so I suggest to Uber here. The food and drinks outweigh the outside world so don’t be scared - get here and try this place!“

Authentic Mexican style cooking, a reasonably broad menu that was affordable with large portion sizes.The dining area is somewhat small, there's a lot going on in a small area and it feels crowded and busy. This is easily overlooked by the outstanding quality of the food!“

“Been coming here for the past 7 or 8 months. The food never fails. The best burritos I’ve had anywhere. Get the pastor burrito and tell them to put the red sauce inside if you like it spicy. I’m eating the mole enchiladas right now and they’re amazing. The elotes are really good too. I want to try everything on the menu but I can’t stop eating the pastor burrito, it’s so good. Staff is very friendly and the owner is a great guy.“

“I absolutely love the vibes here. There's a bar when you first walk in and in the back, there's a few tables and seats. The staff were friendly. Pomegrate mango guacamole was interesting. Never had fruits in guacamole. Slightly sweet, tart, and spicy. The burrito tho!!! It was so amazing. One of the best burritos I've ever had. It's a bit pricey at $16 but omg it's so worth it. I wasn't even hungry but the burrito made me want to eat it!“

“Authentic Mexican cafe with lots of typical American breakfast and brunch options. I got the chilaquiles with red sauce which comes with beans eggs and choice of meat if you want. Super flavorful sauce cooked up on the stovetop and presented simply and beautifully. Horchata was sweet and refreshing to go along with breakfast. Support smaller family-run establishments and come here for breakfast/lunch!“

The consomé had lots of flavor and complimented the tacos very well. The slightly tart and refreshing mango mojito was a perfect compliment to the tacos. The churros were cooked perfectly with a crispy exterior and a slight chew in the center.“
