“Quaint little coffee shop in the neighborhood. They serve variety of drinks from the coffee beans roasted by Commonplace coffee. We did not try their bakery this time, but saw pretty much everyone else ordered some and everything looked yummy.Tried their cold brew and hot latte with house-made honey flavor, both were really good. For those who do not drink coffee, they also have matcha latte, chai latte, or hot cocoa and tea available as well.Such a nice and relaxing atmosphere to come enjoy your day or finish up some work. The staffs were very nice as well. Will definitely be back“

“Redhawk in Sharpsburg is hands down, my favorite coffee shop in Pittsburgh. I have been to many others in the city, and I have not found any other place with such consistently good espresso and friendly staff. The staff go above and beyond to make me and my family feel welcomed every time we visit. They gladly fill my reusable cup with any drink I order, sell us glass jars of milk to take home, and they even have some toys and books for kids to occupy themselves for a bit. While food options are limited, they often have pop ups on weekends. The space can get busy, but if you do get a seat, it is a nice place to relax and people watch over some coffee.“

“We were passing through town and searched for coffee shops with roasters and came across this cool store. Love that they’ve chosen to focus on birds and then assign different species to different coffees - all “bird friendly”. We got a decaf latte and a regular americano to go plus a couple of bags - their one decaf (a Peruvian) and a Colombian that I found to be on the darker side of medium and ok for lattes. Next time we’re through town I’ll want to try something lighter roast. Their cafe had nice seating areas and they had typical coffee store merch. Do recommend.“

COLOMBINO Coffee/Food Truck Coffee Roasteries •
1501 W Liberty Ave, Pittsburgh

“I absolutely love Mr. Colombino’s coffee. It’s so smooth and creamy with no bitterness, the beans are so fresh and sustainably sourced. If you’re feeling fancy order the mocha. It’s not fast drink, because he uses fresh cacao beans and grinds them right there. And it’s not really sweet like a typical mocha, so the coffee still shines through. You can clearly taste both the coffee and the chocolate, being totally happy together in one cup. It’s the perfect balance for me, I would wait the extra few minutes for it any day. He truly takes pride in his coffee.“

La Prima Espresso Company - Roaster / Wholesale Coffee Roasteries • $
1500 Chateau St, Pittsburgh

“I called La Prima’s Chateau location in regards to purchasing espresso beans. I received a call back and the lady that I spoke to was very nice friendly and helpful. She told me that in order to purchase products the I needed a tax number for a business in which I understood. I explained to her that I live down the street and just was wondering if I could buy from that location. Then she called me back and told me that if I purchase online that I could pick it up there. So I ordered two bags of espresso beans. The process of online ordering was extremely painless and easy! Once I got my confirmation that my order was ready, I went to pick up my order and was treated like royalty. I really wish I knew the young lady’s name I spoke to on the phone because she did not have to call me back and inform me about the online ordering!!! She went above and beyond and I thank you for that. And the gentleman that managed the online ordering was very respectful and welcoming! We talked about coffee beans, my purchase, and the organs of the beans. He was very knowledgeable about his products which I can appreciate. My entire experience with La Prima was top notch. I felt more like a friend then a customer. La Prima coffee will always be my favorite coffee company to buy from! Thank you all for the great experience!!!Wheelchair accessibility: Parking lot leads straight to the doors one level no stairs.“

“This has been my favorite coffee spot since college. There’s been only one unpleasant incident: I had something bitter in their blueberry muffin — after I let the staff know I was given a one dollar voucher so it wasn’t that bad. They don’t really make the food from scratch so I don’t consider it their fault. Otherwise, it’s always been a pleasure to get a coffee and get some reading/homework done in this place. Once I placed the wrong order and upon getting my whole milk matcha and doublechecking if it’s oat milk, the barista immediately made another one for me. I also enjoy their nut and seed bar a lot, a very healthy treat when you crave sweets.“
