“Espresso and egg Benedict’s were ridiculously good. Highly recommend. The eggs Benedict remind me of New Orleans they are so good. And it’s always nice to find a place that has good espresso. They made the perfect real macchiato(not the Starbucks abomination)“
“Quaint little coffee shop in the neighborhood. They serve variety of drinks from the coffee beans roasted by Commonplace coffee. We did not try their bakery this time, but saw pretty much everyone else ordered some and everything looked yummy.Tried their cold brew and hot latte with house-made honey flavor, both were really good. For those who do not drink coffee, they also have matcha latte, chai latte, or hot cocoa and tea available as well.Such a nice and relaxing atmosphere to come enjoy your day or finish up some work. The staffs were very nice as well. Will definitely be back“
“Hidden Vietnamese food in a shopping plaza in Wexford!! Recently, I found out that Little Viet Kitchen is the owner's second location up north! The other eatery is Banh Mi and Ti in Lawrenceville. They have the exact menu! The food is out of this world. The protein is flavorful and come in a variety of ways to eat. They have deli pork, beef, chicken, pork belly, marinated pork and vegetarian options. You can pair the protein in a sandwich, rice bowl or dry rice noodle bowl! The Banh Mi is a french baguette filled with marinated meat, pickled veggies and sauce, which is the perfect combination of savory and spices. I tried the Drunken Beef Banh Mi and I could not get enough of it. The beef is slightly sweet but mixes well with the sauce and fresh veggies. I also tried the Pork n Roll (sweet marinated pork with 5 spice) in a rice bowl! The portion was small but enough for a meal. Definitely on the sweeter side, but the pickled carrots, cucumber and tomato cut the sweetness. They also offer pho and a variety of drinks. I had the mint lemonade, which could have had more lemon flavor, but had fresh mint leaves too! The ambiance is casual. And this location is strictly take out. No tables inside at all. Plenty of parking in the plaza. Prices are fair. Looking forward to many more meals! tldr food 5/5 service 4.5/5 ambiance 4/5“
“The BEST matcha bar in Pittsburgh. They have so many options: Ice cream matcha floats, energizing matcha, matchabucha (yep, kombucha in matcha), and matcha cookies/rice treats. Super unique. They also have local honey, tons of unique finds for your at home matcha needs, and tons of matcha powders. Their staff is awesome! We love everyone that works there and enjoy visiting quite often! Highly, highly recommend!“
“The coffee is absolutely delicious as are the various snacks they provide like cookies and muffins. The owner is very knowledgeable and helpful for suggestions on what you'd like. I don't drink coffee much and she matched me to the perfect type for me. The store is a cute hole in the wall you won't regret going too. Love it!“
“What a gem! So glad we can get Vietnamese egg coffee in Pittsburgh! The milk tea here is also incredible. He uses fresh mangos for the mango matcha and it is SO good. You can taste the freshness and quality in all his drinks. The owner is super friendly. Really hoping this place takes off!“
“Very personable, welcoming. Coffee shop establishment with homemade delicious almond Danish, date cookies that go with the specialty coffee made with date paste- to die for. Brothers who operate the place ate very kindKid-friendliness: Open environment, caters more to coffee/tea drinkers. Is pet friendly, I observed doggie treats and water bowlWheelchair accessibility: Doorways are wide enough for a wheelchair“
“I was curious about this place because every time I drive by, they're packed. Today I thought, why not try them out. Well I now will only go to this drive thru as my quick coffee pickup. I'm honestly annoyed at myself for not doing this earlier. I'm so tired of giving money to megacorps like dunkin' and Starbucks. This coffee is really solid and they have a wide selection. The prices are cheaper than Starbucks and the quality is the same, if not better. I will be a regular customer for sure!I now want them to open up a ton more locations throughout the city. I feel like the business plan is amazing, you have a small lot with low infrastructure costs and minimal staff. They were quite ingenious on the placement, making use of the roads turning lane to provide 2 different drive thru directions. No megacorp coffee place has something like this. I just hope that the workers get paid a fair wage and that the business stays profitable, it's hard to compete against coffee giants and I wish them the best!“
“A hidden gem in Morningside!! The owner is a really sweet woman who puts her whole heart into the delicious food and drinks that she makes. Ka-fair is a full service coffee shop with tasty lattes, matcha, smoothies, pastries and breakfast foods. Try the egg toast and the seasonal strawberry matcha when you’re here!“
“I like to find different coffee shops to work at. Everyone here was great! They knew the names of regulars and honestly just were so friendly to everyone. It felt very community oriented. I felt very welcomed and will be back!Wheelchair accessibility: The main entrance is accessible. I don’t know about bathrooms.“
“Redhawk in Sharpsburg is hands down, my favorite coffee shop in Pittsburgh. I have been to many others in the city, and I have not found any other place with such consistently good espresso and friendly staff. The staff go above and beyond to make me and my family feel welcomed every time we visit. They gladly fill my reusable cup with any drink I order, sell us glass jars of milk to take home, and they even have some toys and books for kids to occupy themselves for a bit. While food options are limited, they often have pop ups on weekends. The space can get busy, but if you do get a seat, it is a nice place to relax and people watch over some coffee.“
“I don't know how I'm just finding out about this spot (Thanks, instagram!). The place is bright and cute. The workers are welcoming. The coffee was delicious and so was my avocado toast. I love that everything seems homemade, high quality and mostly healthy! I hope they get impossible sausage patties in the future so I can order a bagel! I'll be coming here often now“
“Very solid spot for a snack or some coffee and a treat. Solid prices and a nice atmosphere. They have most of the classic coffee shop creations. I tried their hot cocoa, brownie, and chocolate chip cookie.Their desserts seem to be made in house. The brownie varieties vary from day to day, and this time, it was just a chocolate frosted one with sprinkles. The brownie had tons of pieces of chocolate in it, and the frosting was tasty as well. A tad dry, but still good. The chocolate chip cookie was only $1! What an amazing price and deal. It was very tasty as well, also having big chunks of chocolate in it. I’d definitely recommend. The hot cocoa was quite milky and honestly didn’t have much flavor. I was hoping for a chocolatey flavor, but it wasn’t there. Still, solid, and I’m sure the coffee is probably their specialty and likely better. All in all, I definitely enjoyed this place. Reasonable prices, solid portions, and a nice assortment of in house desserts. I’d return!Vegetarian options: Flatbreads, salads, desserts, etcKid-friendliness: Lots of desserts that could be used in a birthday celebration“
“This is my absolute FAVORITE coffee shop, I think....ever. Their coffee is such high quality, delicious, & made with so much love. Also, their cold foam never dissolves, so you can enjoy it for hours (unlike most other locations - but drop the names if true). I'm obsessed with their chocolate almond iced coffee, but they also have so many other unique & delicious drinks. It is very clear that the barristers there are passionate and knowledgable about the ingredients they use/drinks & food they make. They also have cashew, sesame, & almond milk. I have even had people stop me & say "where is that coffee from?? it looks fire." IT IS. I also got this cute little art piece from there too!“
“Got a 412 with vanilla syrup and a blueberry muffin. ? Both of the guys behind the counter were super nice. Someone ahead of us forgot their phone, and the Barista went running out and chased down the guy to give it back. That's above and beyond to me. Many people would just stow it for when the person came back. The 412 was delicious, and the muffin he gave me actually wound up being chocolate, but I didn't realize till I got to my car. It was still awesome and fresh. I'm not saying don't go to Starbucks across the street, but local is Thank you!!“
“We stopped here for breakfast during a weekend getaway. The employees were super nice! We got pastries for us and our two daughters, and lattes. Everything was amazing, Especially the cinnamon roll and caramel apple latte! We will definitely be back in the future when visiting.“
“I'm happy this Caffe Mona is here in the strip, because it's got a great vibe that's relaxed (no tvs, low music), and great fresh food. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the savory crepe. I will be going back for sure.Only (small) complaint is that my plate had like 8 chips which felt like an afterthought and not a side.If you've never been, it can be a surprise to see a menu that's basically just crepes (sweet or savory) and omelettes. It seems like they have a burger, but it's not the main thing.“
“This is my favorite spots to pick up coffee beans. You can find a variety of beans representing many of the best growing regions throughout South America and Africa. Besides having great some truly quality beans, Allegheny Coffee & Tea also offers a handful of different nitro brews which are absolutely delicious. Staff is polite, knowledgable, and always patiently humor my nerdy inquisitions!“
“The famous coffee shop located on the strip! We stopped in & it was busy! Beautiful coffee shop with the best chill vibes! Staff was friendly. Latte with oat milk was delicious & STRONG! Loved the entire vibe of this coffee shop! The aged brick, natural light & cheerful vibes was such a pleasant atmosphere.“
“Really great space, had the sausage egg and cheese on a croissant, only 4 bucks. It was good. Had the Roz cold brew which is cheesecake coldbrew with red velvet cold foam. It was really tasty. Staff was super friendly. Great varieties of drink and food items from hot food to pastries.“
“I've stopped by this establishment a few times and I fall in love with this place more each and every time. I took my partner here for brunch and it was lovely! Expect a hello when you step inside, they're happy to welcome you in! The atmosphere is calm and I love the vibe. The last time I was here, the walls were much darker and had an unfortunate cave effect (peering in from the sidewalk, it had been very dark inside). The fresh coat of paint does a LOT to brighten up the space. It's so warm and inviting, like a latte! :) The art from local artists really makes the joint feel connected to the local community, and I can really appreciate the support/platform they offer (the pieces are for sale, which is really cool). The staff are patient, kind, and knowledgeable. I will definitely be making an effort to come here more in the future! Thank you!“
“This place has become a staple for our family since moving into the South Hills area. The small diner feel where the staff remembers your name and order before you can get the words out...this is it!! I love their Western Omelets and the Cinnamon Raisin Toast. But there's nothing in the menu subpar“
“Coffee shop with breakfast and lunch options and a dining area with a super nice atmosphere... fireplace, exposed rafters and well decorated. Order at the counter and they bring it to your table. I had a delicious spinach omelet, which came with today and well seasoned home fries and toast. Owner is friendly and welcoming. Great place for coffee and a meal.“
“A great little local spot on the North Side to pick up coffee and breakfast! I stopped on a weekday morning and only the window was open for ordering - not sure how frequent that is, but it was easy and I got my order quickly. The latte and croissant were both very good! There were quite a few pastry options, but not a lot of larger breakfast items if that's what you're looking for.“
“Best gluten free bakery I've ever been to!! We are from out of town and I've struggled to find good gluten free things but I stumbled upon baked true north and it's amazing!!!! Chrissy was absolutely wonderful with helping us pick out different things to try and recommending their top sellers. They even have shipping for baked goods so we can get these delicious baked goods back home in Massachusetts!!! We highly highly recommend the cinnamon buns and the lemon bars!!!Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp“
“Dino Cuturic, mate, I think you're the one doing the screeching in the comments. Calm down. Firstly, if you took a basic middle school physics class, you would realize the human voice doesnt have a high enough frequency to shatter a thick water glass (unless u were drinking water in a wine glass), your concerns were useless ;) Oh, and I do understand sarcasm.Anyways Ive deleted my comment because well, I really dont care, I'll let you have your 5 star rating back Tahsin ;), and Google will probably take down your descriptive story telling comments because they're deemed irrelevant. Also just in case you didn't realize Dino, its almost verbal bullying, using the words you used (banshee). I ain't calling you out personally dude, you gotta chill. You're the one screeching here. Also pls dont call me lady, it makes me feel old when I'm not even 21.Anyways, have a good easter, if you celebrate it. Of course I will delete this comment if you take down yours too, I mean Google will eventually take all these comments down anyways since its not relevant to the busines, since I removed the original review and yall are making it personal. If not, guess who's the real vindictive person, as yall say in your comments, (Hint : its not me, because I peacefully took down my comment on the disrespectful service, as I might have over exaggerated it ;) )“
“Indulging in the delightful offerings of our local crepe cafe is an absolute joy! The menu is a culinary delight, boasting a variety of sweet and savory crepes that cater to every palate. Each crepe is a masterpiece – thin, yet perfectly indulgent, with fresh, quality ingredients that burst with flavor. The cozy ambiance adds to the overall experience, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Whether you're craving a classic Nutella-filled treat or a savory masterpiece, this cafe never disappoints. Impeccable service and a passion for crepe craftsmanship make it a must-visit for those who appreciate the art of French-inspired culinary bliss.“
“What a cute place! The barista was super sweet and made the whole place feel very welcoming. She was on top of asking about any diet restrictions or milk substitutes. I got a raspberry matcha iced latte and it was the best thing I've ever had!“
“BEST DONUTS EVER!!! Coffee drinks and sandwiches are also soooo delicious! Prices are phenomenal as well! Favorite place to grab a fast breakfast (or delicious snack lol!)!!!PS-Vanilla iced donut is my personal fave... From anywhere! (BESIDES duck donuts but that's not in the same ballpark in my opinion?)“
“I've eaten at Delaney's just one other time and was very happy with the food. I stopped in today for a coffee and treat. I got the almond croissant but was prepared to be disappointed. Too often, when I've purchased almond croissants elsewhere, I find that there isn't enough almond filling.Well, let me just say that I was not disappointed today! The filling went almost to the very end on both sides of the croissant and there was plenty spread all throughout. The croissant is flaky but I wouldn't have cared if it had the density of a bagel. The filling did it for me.Good coffee, service felt a smidgeon slow but it i was in and out in less than 10 minutes so, that was just me. And, the people at the counter were just lovely-- very polite, professional, and pleasant.I would definitely recommend Delaney's for coffee and a treat to start the day. Or for lunch.“
“Very homey, solid coffee, and the lady working there was friendly. But the prices are what's going to keep me coming back. With how crazy inflation is, they seem to be 25-30% cheaper than other coffee shops in the area. My wife and I got two large lattes for $10 and the gentleman after us got a mocha and donut for $6. You can't beat that. My new coffee shop“
“I came in to town to visit a friend and he recommended we check this place out. Not only is the cafe splattered in custom art, goth/metal decor and good color coordination but the coffee was incredible and so were the little burritos we got. Shout outs to Mallory, the owner and everyone on bar who made my visit special. Came for the theme of the shop but I will visit again on every trip I make to Pitt cuz they absolutely passed the vibe check.Dietary restrictions: They were incredibly accommodating of my tree nut allergy.“
“This place is absolutely amazing!!!! I came here with a large party of 10 and EVERYONE’s food was to die for. Some people got something sweet, some did savory….and they were all fantastic. LOVED that they had multiple Benedict’s to choose from. Service was also fantastic! 100000/10 would recommend.“
“Will absolutely make multiple return visits! This place is such a hidden gem, and much more spacious inside than it appears from the street. Great coffee and food, and MUCH more affordable than expected. I parked in one of the dedicated for spots for free, then got a 12oz drip coffee with a delicious breakfast sandwich, all for less than $6. Can't wait to try out more on their menu! To top it off, the WiFi is strong for working or studying, and there are clean restrooms on-site. Happy I discovered this place!Parking: A few free spots are located next to the shop. Street parking is free in the permit parking zones according to the hours on the signs. Otherwise, paid parking can be found in the area.“
“My partner has raved about their coffee for a while and I finally got to try a latte from them today and it’s hands down the best I’ve had in Pittsburgh. Great espresso flavor, not overly sweetened syrup, and overall very well made. My new go to spot for sure!“
“Very kind staff (who have remembered my usual order after only having been to this location a few times!), really good food, excellent coffee.Get the chicken and grueyere crepe, it comes with the best salad vinaigrette I've ever had, and I jones for it every time.Love the new bloomfield spot, I loved the one in Lawrenceville but this feels more homey while also more spaced out.Vegetarian options: Plenty of non meat options. Not sure about dairy free (vegan) but lots of good savory and sweet crepes.Parking: Can park paid on liberty Ave or park on one of the residential streets for free. I've never had an issue finding parking.Kid-friendliness: My kid loves the sweet crepes, especially the Nutella with banana and strawberry.“
“My first time in Pittsburgh and was brought to this awesome little spot on Butler St. Great selection of new and vintage tables which made for a fun hang on a rainy afternoon. You can grab a coffee or BYOB and make the rounds on some well maintained tables.“
“We were passing through town and searched for coffee shops with roasters and came across this cool store. Love that they’ve chosen to focus on birds and then assign different species to different coffees - all “bird friendly”. We got a decaf latte and a regular americano to go plus a couple of bags - their one decaf (a Peruvian) and a Colombian that I found to be on the darker side of medium and ok for lattes. Next time we’re through town I’ll want to try something lighter roast. Their cafe had nice seating areas and they had typical coffee store merch. Do recommend.“
“I'm so happy to live within walking distance of such a nice coffee shop! They have lots of really great options for coffee, food, and pastries. The cinnamon rolls are great, the breakfast sandwich is the perfect weekend treat, and their rotating seasonal drinks always hit it out of the park. Plus the mayan mocha is a must.“
“What a stunnnnnnning coffee shop/cafe!!! Loved the historic building, stunning natural light soaked lounge area, plants & allll the vibes! Seriously, beautiful! We stopped in for an oat milk latte and it was out of this work! Perfectly frothed, creamy & strong espresso! So happy we stopped in here! It was such a vibe & the best coffee! ☕️“
“My first visit to Pigeon Café in Pittsburgh was filled with pleasant surprises. Despite the initial wait due to the café's cozy policy of allowing only five patrons in at a time, the experience inside was worth the brief ten-minute line. The highlight was definitely the food: my bagel with fig and honey schmear was an absolute delight, striking the perfect balance between sweet and savory. Not to be overlooked, the snickerdoodle soft cookie was a standout treat, making my visit memorable. Pigeon Café delivers great food in a charming, intimate setting.“
“This donut place is amazing! When we walked in the staff were kind and were giving everyone free donuts. We ordered 12 and they were amazing. They freshly dip them and they taste awesome. I highly recommend going to check out Peace, Love and little Donuts.“
“My husband and I stopped last weekend and were pleasantly surprised with what felt like 100’s of tea choices. We had been looking for a place with these options for a long time. The staff were exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We are going back in a few weeks in search of coffee. Would absolutely recommend.“
“This is a good small coffee shop with quality drinks and food (loved the hummus breakfast wrap) and a upstairs seating area that is good for business meetings or social occasions. I recommend this as a better spot than the local Starbucks and the staff are very friendly.“
“Big Dog is one of our go to spots for post-run coffees! Those caramel and seasonal lattes are just perfect. The owner is incredibly kind, and the whole vibe with the eclectic decor and artwork is my kind of cozy. Bonus points for letting in cute dogs to pet! Whenever I've got the time, sipping my latte from a mug and soaking in the atmosphere is my little treat. Highly recommend for anyone who loves good coffee and a welcoming vibe.“
“Cute cafe in Lawrenceville, has lots of tables and natural lighting making it a great place to study and do work. Street parking is also easy to find. Service is great. The first time I went, I thought the matcha was a bit bland. However, another friend recommended me to get it with the vanilla flavor and I enjoyed the drink a lot more. Can't say it's the best matcha ever but it's pretty good. I'd come back anyways just for the nice study environment.“
“Lovely bakery & cafe in upper Lawrenceville. The aesthetic inside is cute and cozy but has a unique feel to it with the long velvet curtains and dried flowers. The sweets are super tasty! I tried the cardamom rose cake and it was to die for. Will 100% be back.“
“Fantastic little coffee/tea shop tucked away in the Pittsburgh suburbs. Baristas are friendly & helpful. The hot coffee I had was fantastic. The cold drinks I saw that others purchased looked like they would be tasty. Cannot wait to go back and try something else.“
“As another patron noted, the staff didn't seem all too keen to indulge in free-chat. I too felt a bit burdensome for no apparent reason other than being older than the common lot. But the space makes up for it and some of the beer was very good. I definitely look forward to returning. It seems to me that there's a lot of weird class resentment in Pittsburgh. You can be a bar owner but feel somehow threatened by someone who speaks in an educated manner, even if you're economically far less off.“
“Clean and colorful, all-gender friendly, delicious coffee cakes, very nice owner. He really has a sense of community and is using his space to do good in the community through neighborhood clean-ups, chess events for all levels, and more. Check it out.“
