All of my guests really loved every layer (each one was a different flavor). We had a small issue with the filling but Bredenbeck’s rectified the issue right away and took accountability! “Stumbled across this hidden gem in Norristown while waiting for the shuttle to the elmwood park zoo. This place has so many options from fresh juices, homemade ice cream, popsicles, ice cream, desserts and lunch options. The service is awesome too , the person helping us offered different samples to see what we would like before purchasing and explained all the ingredients in certain options. The interior is so cute and colorful , definitely feel like your transported to Mexico when you walk inside. The crepe was amazing and light and the mangonada was spicy, sour and sweet. “My husband and I come here all of the time, we love our ice cream!!! This is our favorite ice cream now, I crave it over anywhere else. Their chocolate peanut butter is so good and we love their banana! The ice cream is cold (if you know you know, some ice cream just melts so fast, this is ice cream is nice and frozen) creamy, and thick! “We came in on a December Thursday night and were the only ones in the store. You're able to sample any flavor you want, which was great. We ended up getting thin mint and a pumpkin, which were both delicious. The sad part about winter is that not many people are coming in for ice cream, so the ice cream itself wasn't as creamy and had some ice chunks. I've come in the summer and thought the ice cream was delicious then. Give it a try if you're in the area!“

“Philadelphia has several excellent small batch ice cream platforms for your tasty enjoyment. Weckerly's on Girard Avenue in Fishtown, is one of them. I was recently there for a Yelp Event where we sampled a scoop of one of two available flavors. It was smooth, silky, sweet and addictive. In addition, I purchased a take home Classic Sandwich (Vanilla ice cream between Chocolate Wafers), which was even more compelling that the Graham Berry concoction tasted while in the house. The sandwich was thick with 'scream - more than an inch wide - while the choco layer was stable enough to hold the opus together and last to the very last lickin' bite. The vanilla was creamy and inviting; while the wafer offered a soft embrace with mild flavor that did not dominate their combination. Family loved it, too. Made me wish I had started with those other mixtures which were definitely the best way to experience what Weckerly's really had to showcase. Apple Breakfast, or any flavor between shortbread cookies....Are you kidding me?!?! Return visit mandatory!“

“Really nice place inside. I had the Non-Dairy Cookies n' Creme milkshake. It was really really good. Consistency was nice and thick, with chunks of cookies left in it after it was spun. "Matt" served me. Nice and very friendly guy. Price was reasonable, too. The only thing I have to say is that I wish the straws were a more solid material, instead of paper. The integrity starts to get weak, due to absorption of the liquid, if you don't finish it fast enough. I do like the environmentally-friendly idea, though. Overall, five stars for my first time visiting ?.“

“The place was absolutely packed on a Friday night. It was surprising to see only 3 ice cream flavors: chocolate, vanilla and a special custom one they made but that's what makes the quality of the ice cream so good. I got a turtle ice cream sundae and it was incredible. The ice cream itself was so creamy and the perfect amount of milky tasting. What stood out was the flavor was a touch more sweet than store bought ice cream, maybe from vanilla extract but not in an overpowering way at all. They also sold various candy, chocolates and candied apples. I took home a turtle apple too, which was also incredible. Green apple was fresh, chocolate covering was decadent and combo of toppings perfect. I have no pictures to share because it was eaten too quickly. Please do yourself a favor and visit!“

However, the line moved fast.My younger son ordered the mint chocolate chip ice cream and my older son tried the moose tracks. (I took a taste of both)The mint chocolate chip was so delicious, it reminded me of ice cream I got from a little candy shop up in Northern Wisconsin when I was a kid. “Probably the largest assortment of flavors I’ve ever seen at a Rita’s! Outside seating and two parking lots on each side of the building. I mean they have 8+ ice cream flavors and like 12+ water ice flavors! Never seen so many opinions at any Rita’s. The crew here is super friendly mostly young adult with an adult supervisor who is kind and professional too! This is the Rita’s I go to when I want something new, unexpected or unusual lol trust me there’s so much to choose from! Clean outside but doesn’t stay that way for long - this place get packed! My wife's first real water ice was at the original South Philly location on Oregon Ave, then we found Havertown.Pops is by far the best water ice I have ever had, and I've been enjoying Pops since I was a kid. “They have great selections of ice cream flavors.. Chocolate Ice-cream alone had close to 6-8 flavors. We have tried their specialedition chocolate caramel cookies &cream, and I loved it. The ice cream quality was great which was rich and luxurious in texture , and the surprising elements were pieces of cookies and fudge which added the bit of crunch tothe ice-cream. The waffle cone was classic with sugar flavored and crunchy texture. Iwould definitely try their ice cream with wafflefor sure which elevates the whole experienceof having an ice-cream.I have also tried their sampleof chocolate toasted coconut which was yummy. Chocolate and coconut was an interesting flavor to try out in an ice cream and it was so good. Next time I would definitely get this scoop.Parking: It is in a very busy shopping complex, you can probably find the parking easily over a regular day than a weekend. “Everytime I go visit my family in Philly, I have to go to Joe's Water Ice. Since they live pretty close to it, I always walk here and on a hot summer day after sweating and walking to this place, it is always a nice treat to order some delicious shaved ice. I personally love the lemon flavor because its not too sweet or sour. I've had the cherry one, but personally that one is too sweet for my liking. You really gotta come here if you have never been to this place for some water ice! Even during colder seasons, I will always come here and enjoy my lemon ice.“

This isn't my closest Rita's, but we went because the owner was hosting a fundraiser for an important charity for my friends' foundation, Harp's Hope. The owner was exceptionally nice, taking time to speak with us, separate from the fundraiser. They had all the usual Rita's goodies and some great specials as well, such as mint chocolate chip water ice with Oreo blended with either vanilla or chocolate custard shown in photo with vanilla custard).
