This has everything I wanted- lots of tvs (one tuned to The Ocho), free darts on Wednesday, a bunch of regulars and young people, a consistent bartender that's friendly, and the ability to take home singles or cases of beer. “This was my first time here. I highly recommend. The environment was friendly and full of different groups of people having a blast. Some were watching the game on the big TV's, some were playing the available board games. The music was poppin'!!! People of all ages were there which I thought was cool. “If you have a special occasion to celebrate, this is the place. We eat out often, but not at $60-$80 per entree. My husband would differ, but I found it was worth it. The Chilean sea bass was as great as everyone says it is. He had the rib eye ( a special). He said it was good, but had too much sauce on it. Next time, we'll save the steak for a real steak house. We went at 6:30, so we saw day and night views. Quite spectacular. I will say, that I would have appreciated if they would tell you the prices of the specials vs. having to ask. Service was top notch and liked the amuse bouche.“

“I recently hosted an alumni event here and if you're looking for a space to do something similar, or maybe gathering some friends and family to celebrate a birthday or anniversary, I'd strongly encourage you to give SIP Taproom consideration. Kevin is quite accommodating and very easy to work with. The laidback atmosphere, coupled with an excellent offering of local beers and quality wines from California and Oregon, make this a place that shouldn't be overlooked.“

“I visited acacia for the first time and really loved their cocktails. I was afraid that without reservations, the wait would be too long. But even on a Saturday evening in Southside, we easily got a table at 8:30pm. I got The Architect which was spicy and refreshing. The service is amazing and they will make any drink off the menu as well. I asked for a Mai Tai and got the best one I've ever had. Definitely recommend this bar to go to with friends. The ambience is also easy-going and chill for catching up with friends or relaxing after a long day.“

“Kicking myself for not driving up the hill sooner to this incredible Pittsburgh gem! The food: outstanding and fresh. The drinks: Delicious. The glassware: so fun. The owner and staff: incredible people. We visited on the last night of the season before the owner makes the trek home for some well-deserved time off for the holidays. (They'll be back in Feb). We had lovely conversations with the staff and other bar patrons. It's a lovely cozy space and the perfect environment for talking to strangers. There are some beautiful photos on the wall used as conversation starters from the owners travels. I tried the pickle martini and some of the house-made wines, all were so tasty. The food blew me out of the water. The Iberian plate was a perfectly curated mix of the most delicious meats, cheeses, olives, kimchi, etc. We got lucky that day as the owner had prepared her famous lamb. She slices it thin and serves it with a generous portion of pita bread and house made dips including tatziki and red pepper hummus. I'm dreaming of eating and drinking here again and can't wait to become a regular.“

“Discovered this locally owened business and highly recommend! Ordered beef brisket and pulled pork; there were two sauce choice, BBQ and mustard, recommend the mustard. Both entrees were smoky, tender, and flavorful. The pork had a nice bark on it. The collard greens were delightfully spicy and the brussel sprouts were crisp with a surprising vinegar dressing. Acoustic guitar from 7pm to 9pm was awesome, as was the beer list...a dozen beers on draft.Highly recommend and will return!“

“NGL this grilled cheese - cheese burg combo was a dream. If you ever thought to yourself, "this burger could use a grilled cheese," "this grilled cheese could use a burger" or never thought any of those in your life but love GOUD cheesy food- this one is for you. The Texas toast (don't know if that's what it was but that's what it felt like) was buttered to the gawds above. Ruggers knows the CTS (cheese to sando) ratio and went above and beyond the call of duty. The burg patty was flavorful itself and held its own up next to the overflowing cheese mountain that surrounded it. The fries were a perfectly salted addition to the sando. It was as mouthwateringly delicious as it looks and #GOUDapproved from all angles over here. Mondays are also taco night so you gotta pick up a few tacos SIGNATURE! Grilled Cheeseburgher Our 3 cheese grilled cheese sandwich with American, Mozzarella, and Swiss. But with a burgher patty in the middle. Substitute our Banzo Burgher patty to make it vegetarian. $11“

“D's has made all of my hot dog dreams come true. You can build your own hot dog or choose from a list of delicious combinations. My go to is the mason Dixon, topped with chili and coleslaw. They also have a wide selection of beer and other bar foods but we keeping coming back for the hot dogs.“

“Was very disappointed in the meat lover's Flatbread. It tasted like tomato paste for the sauce and the meat has no flavor. It was plain. I suggest to anyone don't get it. My fiancée had thier Italian hoagie which he felt bad and gave me half of his sandwich to eat. The bartender did ask if I liked it. I did let him know about the pizza not being too good. He just looked and didn't say anything and walked away. I'll still come here. But that flat bread has to go. I don't even see how that one is on the menu! Everything else so far I tasted from there is good.“

“I am so glad I found this place! It’s a neat little bar with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere and great music. As soon as I walked in, the owner greeted me and took the time to help me pick out a cigar. He made suggestions for me based on what I normally smoke and the cigar I chose was excellent. Most folks in there seemed to be regulars and we all had great conversation. In my experience, some cigar bars can be a bit pretentious or intimidating but this place is quite the opposite - it’s got a Cheers bar feel and everyone is down to earth. It’s not very often you sit down and chat with the owner of an establishment. Whether you’re a regular cigar smoker or a newbie, this bar is the place to be. The prices are phenomenal as well. “We ate here on a Saturday evening, with a reservation for two at 7.30pm. When we arrived the restaurant was quite full and we had to wait a little while before being seated. At that point, the service was very strong. We tried several dishes, including the salad, miso soup, sashimi plate, nigiri plate, and some hand rolls (mushroom, eel, scallop). We tried the tiramisu, chocolate pudding, and crème caramel for dessert. All in all, the food was tasty, the ambiance was relaxing and pleasant, and service was good. We had a very nice evening.“

“It was cool to see this place transform from Howard's Pub to Harold's Haunt. The small little changes are great and made the space feel very inclusive. They have a small beer selection with some good choices. There are also rotating cocktail and mocktail menus. There's an outdoor patio in the back that's nice. The food menu is on the smaller side but had some nice choices; the five dollar grill cheese got the job done when we needed to refuel. Good spot to stop at before or after a show at Mr.Smalls.“

“The experience started with the warm welcome from the staff. From the security to the bartender, they were all friendly and pleasant. The food was really good and seemed to be fairly priced for the area, although I still feel the area is overpriced in general. The process of getting into the venue was easy and organized. The space was a beautifully quaint and well-used venue. The crowd for a sellout was the perfect size and it was not overcrowded. The acoustics of the venue were very excellent and the price of tickets was phenomenal. If there is a downside, it is the parking, however it is free in the evening, which beats $40-$50 at most other venues. I will certainly be back just for the experience. Amazing work!“

“My partner and I made our way up to Huszar on the North Side last night for dinner and it was spectacular. We started out with an order of lángos, Hungarian fried bread topped with garlic butter and mozzarella cheese. The texture was spot-on but the taste was out of this world. We also ordered a side of their red cabbage salad that I couldn’t get enough of. The cabbage was tender but still had a nice crisp to it and it was very balanced with just the right amount of sugar and salt. I ordered the chicken paprikás with traditional dumplings. The first bite took me back to my grandmother’s dining room table. The chicken was extremely tender and flavorful and the sauce was mild and perfectly seasoned. The cloud-like dumplings were the perfect accompaniment. My partner ordered the bakonyi pork and it was equally as delicious. I don’t think I’ve ever seen pork pounded that thin and still be tender. The mushroom gravy on top of the pork and dumplings was the star of the dish but we’re mushroom-loving people. The dessert case couldn’t be passed up and it was hard to choose which we wanted to try. We ended up picking this three-layer chocolate mousse cake. It was light, not overly sweet and the perfect ending to a fantastic meal.“

“Down to earth blues club. Moondogs keeps it simple and stays true to itself. One side of the room is a stage and tables for listening. The other side is a bar. I would prefer more options for beer on tap, and I feel like Moondogs has been left behind, but perhaps that is intentional.“

“After being invited many times, I finally got out with some friends to try the Elks Pittsburgh famous Friday lenten fish fry. And overall, it definitely lived up to the hype.For $17, you get a huge fish sandwich and two generous sides. I went with Mac and Cheese and fries, and it was definitely a comfort food experience. The bar has very fair prices, and the staff run what is inherently a chaotic situation extremely well. Just get their early, or be ready to wait in line. Definitely worth a trip.“

The staff were super friendly and quick to take our order. Two women were both bartending and serving the tables, but we never had dirty dishes or empty glasses for long. The pepperoni rolls were our favorite. We also had a 16" pizza with extra cheese and half sausage & bacon. The pizza was ok! I'd say 7.5/10. The sauce had great flavor. My brother had the special chicken sandwich, parmesan style. He said the flavors were great, but he wasn't a huge fan of the bread. It wasn't toasted and after a few bites, it was totally soggy. There are two 1-person bathrooms and they were both clean, smelled like strawberries (lol), and were stocked with soap and paper towels.“

Food was good, wings hot with a variety of sauces to use, Mac and cheese bits and burritos. Had pulled beef and chicken on slider buns. Mac and cheese was very good-creamy.
