“Parking: Plenty of parking, building is off a side street that is not very busy, so it's easy to enter and exit.

Kid-friendliness: They were respectful to my daughter after we left a show that ended late and wanted a quick dine in bite to eat.”

“Big Richards is absolutely delicious. They are consistent with the taste. They are one of the only pizza restaurants who actually put the cheese up to the crust and not have this inch and a half of sauce like, for example, pizza and stuff, among others. The only thing is that I always order for delivery because it is in a college part of town and you have to climb a very long stairs to get inside. I do not mind getting delivery though. Especially because of the taste. Thanks for doing such a great job.

Kid-friendliness: I have brought in my young toddler granddaughter before and the and there has never been a problem with her noise or running around.”

“I had an interesting experience here. I went with minimal expectations. It's a "default" destination for people who don't want to venture out from their hotel after all.

The person tending bar when I arrived was a pleasant lady who took my drink and food order:
Vodka martini and a Bistro Burger
I knew immediately there was a concern because I wasn't asked what vodka I preferred and whether I wanted it straight up or on the rocks etc.
the drink I got was (forgive me) disgusting. It was all vermouth and had a LIME in it.
I choked this down and ordered a whiskey instead since that's pretty much impossible to mess up :)

To make matters worse, the couple that came in after me not only got their burgers before me, they finished them before I got mine.

Another person arrived behind the bar in the meantime.
His name is "T".
He gave me a water without me asking, asked me about my food order, and offered me another whiskey (again without asking me what I had- meaning he had looked to find out).

He apologized for the food situation and got me my burger.

I over-tipped him to acknowledge the good service. I decided to let him know about the issues I had, and he insisted on making me a proper martini. It was perfect.

Turns out he had a family emergency, which is why he was not there when I walked in when they opened to take my order and provide proper service.

Give this guy and his place a chance. He clearly cares about his customers and the service provided here, which is all too rare these days.

“Tried Asian Taste for the first time tonight...and LOVED it. The food was still piping hot when we got home (we live right outside Shippensburg in Newville), and it was su plentiful that we have lunch leftovers for tomorrow. I also love that I can get Hibachi, my husband and daughter can get Chinese, and my two sons can get fried shrimp and wings and fries since they are not big asain food lovers.”

“Spencer Witmer & I frequently visit the Starbucks location in Shippensburg. The Baristas are always super friendly, efficient and have remembered us. I usually get complimented on my nails and make up which is always a nice pick me up for the confidence. Today I stopped by myself and was not put together like I normally am.. The Barista kindly and respectfully asked what my pronouns are because they wanted to address me correctly. I said “she/her” and she was like you’ve got it. She also said “we love you here and love seeing you! “ That may seem minor to some people but to me that meant a lot. ♥️ 🏳️‍⚧️ 🌈”

“I've been ordering from China House for 20 years. Never once have I been disappointed by the food or service! I've moved to multiple cities over the years and they remain my favorite Chinese restaurant. The family who owns it is also very sweet! Our favorites have always been the egg rolls, chicken on a stick, beef lo mein, general tsos chicken and the crab rangoon!”

“My husband and I were in Shippensburg for a show at the Luhr Center at Shippensburg University last night. We've stayed at this facility in the past so elected to stay here again. The facility is still beautiful and was so clean that it may have been recently updated. What we noticed (as we find everywhere since the pandemic) is the business is short staffed. However, the few people working were outstanding in wearing multiple hats. A manager helped to tend the bar at the Bistro, the desk person cleaned tables and helped to serve our dinner, the young lady behind the bar was cooking breakfast as well as serving and manning the cash register, and a manager was cleaning rooms in the morning. In addition, every person was exceptionally friendly. I want to commend this work force for their ability to work together and keep this business running efficiently. I can only hope that this review reaches upper management of Marriott and these people are commended for their effort. The only thing I would improve was that the water in the swimming pool was too cold. We enjoyed the hot-tub instead.”

“Great college bar at Ship, one of the best college bars I've visted, period. Surprisingly decent selection of beer and cocktails at very good prices, and a slammin' set of DJs that keep the tunes and the light shows rolling along later in the evenings. Some pool tables, too if you enjoy that. Just a great bar.”

“Just stopped in for a hot & iced coffee and a boston cream donut. The hot coffee was good, the iced coffee was too strong (which has been a common issue lately with many DDs) and the donut was small- about 3/4 typical.”

“Excellent food, great portions! Our waitress was amazing as well. Prices decent. Three of the four of us had The Rachel which was made with fresh turkey breast meat and a nice home made bread! 10/10
