“Les is a wizard with a cocktail shaker. This is a wonderful way to wind down the evening. Amazing atmosphere. They're one of a kind drinks are top notch and I have never been disappointed. From the moment you approach the main lodge, you are transported. It looks exactly like a fairytale castle or a grand, private hunting chateau has popped up in the Pennsylvania mountains! ​The architecture is absolutely magnificent. The rough-hewn stone exterior, beautifully contrasted with the vibrant red ivy in the fall (as seen in my photos), evokes a powerful sense of history. The grand stone facade, rooted in the Dutch Colonial Revival style of the 1920s, instantly reminded me of a European castle—it truly is a stunning landmark. ​The interiors are just as impressive. The grand lobbies, with their beautiful wood paneling, towering arched windows, and cozy fireplaces, have the warm, elegant feel of an exclusive old-world club. Sunlight streaming through those enormous windows is a sight you have to see in person! ​Opened in 1928, this Historic Hotel of America sits on 5,500 acres of meticulously designed grounds—planned by the legendary Olmsted Brothers. Whether you are enjoying a round on the historic golf course, relaxing by the enormous fireplace, or exploring the extensive acreage, Skytop offers an atmosphere of timeless tradition and unmatched beauty. ​If you are looking for a getaway where elegance, history, and natural grandeur meet, Skytop Lodge is an absolute must-visit. It completely blew my mind and is a true gem of the Poconos!”

“This restaurant is amazing. Not only is the food beyond delicious but the service is the BEST!! I had a last minute event and needed to feed about 20 people within 3 hours. Seafood Haven went above and beyond to help me out with a catering order. The food was excellent and my guests couldn’t stop raving about how flavorful and tasty the food was. Not only will you taste the love in every bite but I felt the love they have for their customers.”

Lech, the owner can out and spoke with us for a bit. Was there in September and will be back again soon. Not to be missed in Greentown / Ledgedale / Lake Wallenpaupack area just a few min off I 84.”

“My husband and I enjoyed our honeymoon at The French Manor. The food served for breakfast and dinner was excellent. The view from the top of the hill is really scenic. The staff were kind and helpful. We stayed in the Venice room. It was nicely decorated, but the bathroom would benefit from some updates with the plumbing (water can be forceful at times since it is well water). I would recommend staying in the spa suites as they looked more modern. The spa was very relaxing, and all guests have free access to the sauna and saltwater pool.”

“First Place Cafe is an absolute gem!! The owners are super attentive with everything. The food was great and they have gluten free bread for those with gluten issues. We came here both mornings on our weekend getaway.”

“The broth isn't like it should be in Pho Bo. It's bland and contains a lot of MSG and too much salt, making it impossible to add oyster sauce to achieve the correct flavor. By the way, they didn't even have oyster sauce; they substituted it with a cheaper hoisin sauce. We ordered it with ribeye, but they brought it with meatballs. Overall, everything was a bit strange. The service, however, was excellent.”

“My husband and I brought a ton of our friends here the morning after our wedding nearby and had a great breakfast! The food was exactly what we needed, so good, the staff was so friendly and accommodating of our bigger party, and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. They put our leftover wedding cake in the fridge and brought it out for us after we finished our scrapple. Can't thank them enough for their hospitality!”

“Wow! I can’t say enough about how good breakfast just was! We started with fresh really hot coffee. My friend had the creamed chipped beef which he said was delicious. I had eggs which were cooked just right, yummy hot home fries and crispy bacon. The toast was even toasted to perfection and the bacon just the way I like it, crispy! “We ordered fried calamari for an appetizer it was cooked perfectly! Since it was our fist time here we decided to try the Mamma Maria’s Special pizza which was delicious and they definitely did not skimp on the toppings!!! We also ordered a chicken cheese steak with peppers onions and mushrooms had amazing flavor! Last we got two cannolis to go and they were the best cannolis we’ve ever had. Great service and food came out fast! We were only in the area for the weekend if we are to ever return to the area we would definitely come back here again!!”
