Some were watching the game on the big TV's, some were playing the available board games. The music was poppin'!!! People of all ages were there which I thought was cool. “I visited acacia for the first time and really loved their cocktails. I was afraid that without reservations, the wait would be too long. But even on a Saturday evening in Southside, we easily got a table at 8:30pm. I got The Architect which was spicy and refreshing. The service is amazing and they will make any drink off the menu as well. I asked for a Mai Tai and got the best one I've ever had. Definitely recommend this bar to go to with friends. The ambience is also easy-going and chill for catching up with friends or relaxing after a long day.“

“Was very disappointed in the meat lover's Flatbread. It tasted like tomato paste for the sauce and the meat has no flavor. It was plain. I suggest to anyone don't get it. My fiancée had thier Italian hoagie which he felt bad and gave me half of his sandwich to eat. The bartender did ask if I liked it. I did let him know about the pizza not being too good. He just looked and didn't say anything and walked away. I'll still come here. But that flat bread has to go. I don't even see how that one is on the menu! Everything else so far I tasted from there is good.“

“NGL this grilled cheese - cheese burg combo was a dream. If you ever thought to yourself, "this burger could use a grilled cheese," "this grilled cheese could use a burger" or never thought any of those in your life but love GOUD cheesy food- this one is for you. The Texas toast (don't know if that's what it was but that's what it felt like) was buttered to the gawds above. Ruggers knows the CTS (cheese to sando) ratio and went above and beyond the call of duty. The burg patty was flavorful itself and held its own up next to the overflowing cheese mountain that surrounded it. The fries were a perfectly salted addition to the sando. It was as mouthwateringly delicious as it looks and #GOUDapproved from all angles over here. Mondays are also taco night so you gotta pick up a few tacos SIGNATURE! Grilled Cheeseburgher Our 3 cheese grilled cheese sandwich with American, Mozzarella, and Swiss. But with a burgher patty in the middle. Substitute our Banzo Burgher patty to make it vegetarian. $11“

“D's has made all of my hot dog dreams come true. You can build your own hot dog or choose from a list of delicious combinations. My go to is the mason Dixon, topped with chili and coleslaw. They also have a wide selection of beer and other bar foods but we keeping coming back for the hot dogs.“

“We were passing through and ordered two apps at half price and a burger medium rare. Apps were great but when we took a bit of the burger, it was raw inside. The waitress was nice and had our burger remade. Good burger but we were charged for the raw burger as well as the one we ate. It could have been accidental but maybe not. Good place for food but recommend checking your receipt.“

“Went here for my birthday dinner w/ mom. 2nd time here. Plantain empanadas were 1 of the best things I’ve ever eaten hands down. Super fresh food. Generous portions. Excellent service. “Great neighborhood place to have a drink and quick bite, hear a live band on the weekends or shoot a game of pole during the week. Outdoor deck area for smoking you can bring your drink on the deck just don't walk off the deck with your alcohol. Plenty of parking available and usually a decent crowd.“

“Came in for dinner on Sunday and the place was pretty busy. There was a Pens game on and several tvs were showing the game and the surround sound was playing the game, as well. The staff were super friendly and quick to take our order. Two women were both bartending and serving the tables, but we never had dirty dishes or empty glasses for long. The pepperoni rolls were our favorite. We also had a 16" pizza with extra cheese and half sausage & bacon. The pizza was ok! I'd say 7.5/10. The sauce had great flavor. My brother had the special chicken sandwich, parmesan style. He said the flavors were great, but he wasn't a huge fan of the bread. It wasn't toasted and after a few bites, it was totally soggy. There are two 1-person bathrooms and they were both clean, smelled like strawberries (lol), and were stocked with soap and paper towels.“

“Cash only joint! Smallish neighborhood gem. Looks unassuming from the outside but it's just perfect for the locals. No beers on draft and that's a little sad but the delicious food totally makes up for it. The bartenders/waitstaff are always friendly, attentive and funny. Since we moved to Mount Washington, we're pretty much slowly becoming regulars so there go our plans to lose weight this year ?“

“I hosted a party in the upstairs room over the weekend and it was fantastic. The food was great exactly what we asked for and everyone went above and beyond. Our bartender Chelsi was awesome. “Went to a private party upstairs, about 40-50 people, a little tight for moving around with plenty of seating available for all. Food was good, wings hot with a variety of sauces to use, Mac and cheese bits and burritos. Had pulled beef and chicken on slider buns. Mac and cheese was very good-creamy. Open bar with fair choice of beers and liquor for the party.“

“Support your local brewer and get down to Insurrection Brewing in Heidelberg - right next to the police station ?. It's not a particularly large venue, nor a warm and cozy place, but they're definitely churning out some decent brews here. The barrel aged stout and west coast IPA were really very good. They've got a 3.91 (of 5) average rating on Untappd, and that's pretty good ?“

“Wow! talk about a hidden gem. This is a super awesome dive bar with uncanny food. I kid you not, I'll put theses sandwiched with anything in the city. I had a $15 burger for under $10. The owner is the chef, and he's got it down perfect. He even came to our table to make sure he laced the sandwiches...which he did. Great drinks, great service, unbelievable food! unbelievable value. Even the Jalapenos were absolutely perfectly grilled! Wow!“

“My coworker and I decided that a night on the town was much needed but wanted a different scene than the norm. Jekyll and Hyde was exactly what the doctor ordered! I loved the decor and the drinks were fantastic and quite affordable (I had spooky juice and my coworker had their signature, the Jack-O-Lantern). “We came to Pittsburgh for the weekend to celebrate my birthday. The Air bnb we booked was just around the corner. We had a great time and the food was really good. Don and his Sons were terrific and Gale was a gem. We are planning to come back to just come hang at Dons.“

“I was there for a charity event. They had delicious snack type food. My chai tea was absolutely delicious. Service was great and everyone very friendly. Much of the historic charm of the building is intact. The only reason for a 4 on atmosphere was the music was a little too loud.“

It's super friendly, but in representation by the staff and the locals that crowd around the bar, and as it's a cash establishment, it's more than affordable. It's a real dive bar, so the beer and drink selection will not be too extensive, but if you're looking for 60 different kinds on a rotating tap, you're in the wrong place. It's dimly lit but no longer smokey, which is great when you just want to hide from the world.Nothing bad to be said about the place, and it's nice to be treated like you're part of the neighborhood, even as a married-on person (my husband lived here about a decade earlier, and so he's still recognized by staff and regulars).“

“Awesome hidden gem in Bridgeville. Ordered the Filipino Lumpia egg rolls and the Laurel sauced chicken wings. Lumpia was excellent and fresh tasting. "Laurel" is buffalo with old bay seasoning. Perfectly cooked and juicy. Cool atmosphere with small bar pool table. Great time!“

“Excellent wings; good selection of booze and friendly service. It’s a cute little dive bar off the beaten path. The clientele is very welcoming. My only complaint is that this place is a smoking bar. Unfortunately, as much as I enjoyed my time here, smoking is a dealbreaker for me. That said, if you can tolerate smoking or if you are a smoker, I highly recommend checking out this little roadhouse in Braddock Hills.“

“Perfect ol' skool bar/tavern with some food that would rival ANY establishment/eatery in the Pittsburgh area. Fish, WHOLE wings and sandwiches are mind-blowing & AGAIN, would rival ANY establishment. May have the BEST Long Island pitchers for a dime (10.00). Staff are A+1. Fish sandwiches on Mancini's is most definitely worth the trip.??“
