“This has been my go to poke spot since moving to the area a year ago. I’ve tried other spots closer to where I live in the city and nothing comes close. Everything I’ve tried here has been fantastic from the build your own poke bowls to the dumplings to the sushi party platters. Great selection of fresh fish and vegetables, quick friendly service, and easy parking. Thank you Toyosu ??“
“When I moved to the area from Philly I tried a few places, but my husband and I kept coming back here. The sushi and sashimi has always been fresh and delicious. And the service is always stellar. We even do take out and it’s always spot on. Love.“
“The food and service was phenomenal, the food came out so fast and right after we finished with our appetizers our plates were replaced. The sushi was so fresh and the presentation was beautiful! So happy to have found this place!! Can’t wait to come “
“Absolutely delicious and very friendly service. Do not plan to dine in, there is one small table available but this is mostly a takeout place. Like other reviewers, I found a kind note full of gratitude for supporting their business and a bag of oolong tea, such a sweet touch. The food is tasty with huge portions, the containers are packed to the brim, I always have leftovers and they reheat well.“
“Didn’t go there ordered from door dash so I can’t rate atmosphere . I added things in the order and I got all the extra things I asked for in the specialInstructions. Most places ignore that or don’t allow you to do that. The food is delicious they package everything so nicely I’ve only ordered two times but this place is my new go to! Give them a try youWon’t be disappointed.“
“The atmosphere is friendly and laid-back. We received the food approximately 15-20 minutes after ordering; I found the dishes to be mediocre. I did love the Israeli sweet beverages they offer though!Parking: There is a parking lot right in front of the store.“
“I've read most of the reviews here on this post and like the writers, I agree with the fine atmosphere, the food and the efficiency of the chefs but I didn't agree with and noticed with question the size of my sushi rolls in comparison to the four young college students that came in after I arrived, two of which ate the sushi w/their hands (clear amateurs and it's crass, lol) Having dined in several sushi houses across Center city let alone Philadelphia over the years this place WAS one of my favorites until last night.I've been here about approximately 5 to 6 times and I always felt a little bit of customer bias but didn't pay it too much attention until last night my suspicions were confirmed when I sensed a feeling of terse, unfriendly customer service and bias.I won't indicate the chef that displayed this bias but attitudes like this flow from the top.I WON'T be returning here. I'll remain going to their competitions in the area rather than to be "Sneak dissed on the low" and keep your self respect, dignity and character as a more sophisticated person rather than to be on the receiving end of socially biased, micro aggressions.I only think of what size w/the mayor's rolls be were she to walk in and order the meal I ordered, what cm size difference would she get served?Im not having sushi here anymore in 2024.“
“Good quality sushi and drinks. I highly recommend their green tea lemonade (so refreshing!). But I really wanted to leave a review to say that the owners of this restaurant are very kind and attentive. Please give them your business. I had a pleasant experience here.“
“They have the tastes! We had a variety of food and it was all delicious based on quality of ingredients and preparation.About 8 tables. Well lit and quiet. Excellent service. Friendly. The menu was well organized. They do a lot of takeout business.“
“For the great price and great amount of options, this is probably the best "bang for your buck" happy hour in the city! Not your typical American bar food when you think of an amazing happy hour-- Qu offers a large sushi menu with tons of variety. Raw and cooked options, some vegetarian, but all pretty taste! For $6 per listed hh item (dine-in only), we easily found great options and left happily filled with saki and food! I even got oysters!Vegetarian options: They offer some vegetarian rolls and appetizers! It does not make up a large portion of the menu and would be mostly "snack-like" items/small platesDietary restrictions: notify staff of any dietary restrictionsKid-friendliness: This is more of a bar atmosphere with alcohol being served both at the bar and around the dining room“
“Love this place. It has become our go-to for sushi and ramen. I have done both dine in and take out. Food is always fresh and delicious, service is excellent (the owner is so nice and welcoming). Lots of parking in the back. Highly recommend!“
“I was told about Kei Sushi by a friend and finally found time to go last week. It's a small and cozy place. The hostess was awesome. She answered any questions we had and educated us on what we were eating as well. The food itself was absolutely delicious and I loved how they made the same dish so unique (myself and my friends had the same order). The prices were good and well worth it. This is definitely a new favorite spot of mine and will be sure to recommend it to others. Thank you Kei Sushi!“
“Excellent service. Delicious, VERY well prepared food. Love the Korean inspired options. Good date or double date spot. Prices are very fair - $3 for a miso soup which is a must, so delicious and cozy. BYO with a $5 corkage. Nearly a perfect little casual restaurant. Looking forward to returning!“
“The girl was so kind she ask what would you like and i got California rolls and fried ice cream and calamari it was so good one of the best sushi and calamari also the fried ice cream is hard on the outside and maltie on the inside the California roll was omg....so good bc i am a lover for sushi they ask i take don't mind if i do....lol the this place kiku sushi is so good ( I recommend kiku sushi for a wonderful meal or sushi“
“Cozy little Korean spot in Ardmore. It is a bit cramped but this is the first Korean restaurant I’ve been to that did not serve alcohol. Likely due to licensing? The seafood pancake was disappointing, worse I’ve ever had. But still decent enough to finish.Stirfry pork and japchae were delicious. Portions are also decently large. I was able to take portions to go.“
“This is a good place to eat sushi and ramen. Personally, I ordered the miso soup ramen and I loved it: both the decoration of the dish, as well as the quantity and flavor, were in harmony; For starters we ordered gyozas, which were delicious. My companion ordered a shrimp tempura roll which, on the other hand, although it had a delicious flavor, the quantity was small in relation to the price. The atmosphere is cozy. The staff treated us very kindly, which made us enjoy the experience even more.“
“The food here is amazing, fresh, and affordable for such fine sushi. You can't go wrong with anything their amazing chef comes up with. So clean, you could lick the walls or floor. This gem is a little hidden (look next to the mexican place by the Giant door). There is nothing like this anywhere in town.“
“I warned my family that the Japanese food we get in California is generally pretty good and better than we can get elsewhere. The food here was on par with what we’re used or better. The tempura seemed slightly below average, but the black cod was excellent and plentiful with a generous portion of asparagus, the sashimi platter was quite good (hamachi was the winner there), and the lava cake with ice cream for dessert was a nice surprise.I was a little surprised to be offered white or brown rice, but the brown rice ended up being what I’ve come to know as Korean multigrain or purple rice. I also love me some hamachi kama (yellowtail collar), but apparently the last one went to the party before we arrived on a Friday night at 7p. It was recommended that we ask to reserve one when making our reservation. Now we know. :)Fantastic service and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.“
“This is a neighborhood gem that has become a trusted institution in our area. This family business offer the BEST in local fish and seafood in a very clean, friendly and service-oriented - store. They also carry excellent vegetables and fruit that make it a one-stop place for fresh food as well as cooked vegetables and seafood dishes. We shop there usually once a week!“
“Excellent quality sushi! My family ordered a couple sushi combos and a special roll and everything was super fresh and absolutely delicious. Best sushi I had on a long time (inmy opinion, in terms of ramen and sushi it beats some otherJapanese restaurants in the area)“
“Only ate here twice and it was exceptional for the price. Honestly I thought the good reviews had to be fake bc there were so many and so highly rated. But it’s legit. It appears to be closed though permanently since it’s been down for over a month now.Hopefully the owners see this and will tell me they’re re-opening soon??“
“Nice atmosphere for a strip mall. Decent size portions. Little on the expensive side. Deserts too small and much too expensive. Little too salty and saucy in general. Good sushi. Served wrong dish to me and should not have charged us for that dish.... But they are cheap in that way. Overall good but a little overpriced.“
“I went to Takumi for the fist time tonight. It was excellent. I also had 3 young children and two other adults with me. They were great to my kids and our waitress (Evelyn) was excellent. She really took great care of us. — The food was more eclectic then I expected as well, which I see as a real plus especially on/near the Main Line where food boredom can become an issue. - Great Job with this place!“
“The food is very good and the service is friendly and attentive. This is a well-managed, spotless restaurant. Superior Sushi, including vegetarian options, and very tasty Salmon Teriyaki. (I have no doubt that all the food is equally good, but my review comes straight from my and my family’s palate!)And, if takeout is your thing, Sakura makes it super easy.Parking: Parking lot is in the rear of the restaurant.“
“We ended up being 15 mins late to our valentines day reservation we called about 40 mins before our time they accommodated us and held our table. The wait staff here are so friendly the food was amazing. Me and my fiancee will def be back again. Spent much less than I thought I would and we left full and happy. 100% recommend this place.“
“Cute little spot with really good sushi. I don't like places that bill up the rolls with rice and things and the fish isn't fresh or tasty. You won't have to worry about that here. I got the 3 roll special and the Tara special which is a deep fried roll. I also added seaweed salad and miso soup. I walked in and order was done fairly quick. The rolls were very tasty and fresh. I really like the deep fried roll as well. I got the spicy tuna, which is always a good gauge for me. It was very good and next time I'll ask for a bit more spice. The eel abs avocado and the yellowtail were also very good. I'll have to try their other special rolls. Definitely recommend! This for sure will be my go to sushi spot!“
“Came in on a Friday without a reservation, but the staff was really accommodating and I got a table super quickly! Reservation is definitely recommended though. The sushi was sooo delicious and it was ready very quickly despite it being a busy night! Definitely will be coming back!“
“We came to this restaurant for dinner. This spot was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was very nice. The staff members welcomed us with a smile and we had a fantastic feeling. The meal was fresh and delicious. We had a great time and we will visit this place again. Recommended.“
“Dining at Zama was a great experience for my boyfriends 30th! The vibe was romantic and very modern, while also maintaining a sense of intimate vibes. The food was great 10/10 with the chicken dumplings fried to perfection and paired well with the honey mustard sauce on the side, the roasted half chicken with potatoes, asparagus, and carrots cooked exquisitely, and the NY strip steak cooked well done but still flavorful with mushrooms as a great additive. The cocktails were made wonderfully and the sake (the bottle) is a must have! Brian, our waiter, was attentive and friendly during this whole experience. The location is easy to miss on your right hand side while driving (perhaps maybe minimal additional lighting at the entrance would be best); however, street parking was easy to find and the restaurant was an amazing spot to try Japanese food for the first time.“
“Amazing- I moved to the apartments across the street a year ago and just discovered this place. I wish I found it a year ago! It’s BYOB, the food is amazing and the service is great! I often get the same thing (edamame, seaweed salad, California roll and bring a red wine) but every time it’s great. My aunt comes with me she gets other food and she says it’s excellent. The service is great and quick. It’s a small place and you would miss it if you were just walking by, but if you missed it you would be disappointed!“
“I am pleasantly surprised by how delicious the foods are. Ordered sushi combo and two signature rolls. They are very fresh and flavorful. The restaurant is not too noisy and the environment is clean and welcoming. Loved our waitress Tina. I would definitely recommend and come back!“
“I typically go to the Vic Sushi location in Springhouse just because it is a lot closer. The food is basically the same here, so there is consistency. The only thing that wasn't the same was the friendliness. I felt that I had to initiate that and it didn't seem super inviting when I walked in, but maybe it was an off day.“
“Great place! High quality, fresh sushi. Good size servings and prices, and every item was good - highlights were the Philly roll, udon, and miso soup. Staff inside was so friendly and had the order prepared ahead of schedule.Loved the manga walls inside, and the miso soup was top tier!Parking: Plenty of parking in the shopping complex.“
“I celebrated my 40th with family here and it lived up to my very first impression from last year. I couldn’t wait to come back and have the vegan ramen and vegan cheesesteak sushi and the veggies of fire sushi. I could have eaten more and more, I love it here! My family is not vegan so it is a great place to make everyone happy. Delicious and the service and ambiance are perfect!“
