“The best pulled pork sandwich I've had in a long time, and the PB and J hotdog was outrageous! Get to this place quick! He closes for the winter around Thanksgiving. I'm working in the area and seriously disappointed that this place isn't back home.You're killing it brother!“

“Ajs has been around forever and I can remember going there as a child. The food has always been good. Service is usually good. The 4 stars is due to atmosphere. It's very small and there's always a wait at dinner time. I don't particularly care to be that close to other patrons at dinner but that's just my personal preference. If it weren't for this I'd rate a 5.“

“This might be one of the best breakfasts in the country! Even if you’re nowhere near Vandergrift, it’s worth the trip! It’s a cute restaurant, big but not too big. The coffee is pretty good and the prices are very reasonable. We had red velvet waffles with strawberries which was very good and the special was this strawberry pretzel salad French toast layered thing which was amazing! They always have amazing specials! Theres a reason this place wins awards - it’s that good!“

“Great local place! The people & food are the draw here! These wings are the only ones I'll eat in town & the burgers are hand pressed! Every time I've been here, I've been pleasantly greeted by the bartender/cook on duty, as well as some of the patrons. I'm particular about where I eat, but it doesn't take long to notice the impeccable cleanliness of 'the hancock'! Wing night every Friday, great time to try those secret recipe wings!!!“

“The Moonlight Inn has always been one of my favorite local spots. The restaurant offers a calm and relaxed setting, perfect for unwinding and enjoying a meal. Especially during the summer months when they have the outside deck opened up.I stopped in for lunch recently. I opted for a juicy burger, which came cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. The fries were a perfect complement. The service was prompt, and I didn't have to wait long for my food to arrive. My server was incredibly polite and attentive, adding to the positive experience.Overall, I always have a great experience at the Moonlight Inn. The delicious food, friendly service, and relaxed atmosphere make it a place I definitely recommend for anyone visit.“

“My Girlfriend And I Like To Eat At Family Owned Local Restaurants Rather Than The Typical Chain Restaurants As Their Quality Went Down Hill. Happy Day Cafe Is A Small Hidden Place On The Corner, On Street Parking. We Both Had Omelets, I Had Whole Wheat, And She Has Rye Toast, Staff Is VERY Friendly, Prices Are Super Reasonable! “Service was great, food was decent. I got a dominator. They forgot to put the pierogis on my sandwich. When I told them, they apologized and immediately went back to the kitchen and got them on there for me. However, there was too much beer cheese and not nearly enough ribeye on the sandwich. Additionally, the steak itself was very chewy and could've been warmer. Pierogis were great. We got the tots as an app and they were good. Fiancé got the brisket grilled cheese which she liked, but noted the brisket was a tad dry. Good prices though so it is what it is. Atmosphere is solid if you can get a seat in the front two rooms. If you're relegated to the back part, it feels rather depressing. HOWEVER, we sat at the bar (after moving up from that back room) and overall it was a good experience and they had a solid selection of beers to choose from as well. Again, great service.“

“My fiancé and i stopped at the cool water after our engagement party, I noticed my wallet was missing the next morning, a couple that are regulars at this bar reached out to me on facebook that they found my wallet, as well as Andrea (bartender), nothing was missing from my wallet, cash cards, ect. I even offered to give the couple money for reaching out to me, and they would not accept it.I am forever greatful that there are good people in this world, this bar has the most trustworthy employees and regulars. “We've been to National Public House on a regular basis since they opened. Absolutely always incredible from the cocktails to the staff to the food! Everything is always perfect! Tonight we went to a special reservation only Wild Game dinner with drink pairing! I can't even describe how amazing this dinner was! The chef, drink guru, dessert specialist, owners, and staff at this place are phenomenal! Nothing in the area compares! Enjoy!“

“This was our first time here. At first we weren’t sure where to go when we went downstairs so we just went to the bar and were greeted by the nicest older gentleman who got the attention of a waitress. We were early for our reservation but they cleared a table for us and walked us over.We had the nicest, informative, and professional waitress who went over the menu and the evening specials. Karen was a delight! We ordered a bottle of wine, I had a salad and my wife had the butternut squash. The lemon basil salad dressing was home made and was amazing!I had the prime rib which was cooked to my liking. Medium was perfect for me. It came with carrots and mashed potatoes. It also came with a side of au jus and horseradish. Not horseradish sauce sadly. Just horseradish. The prime rib was thin, however had great flavor and I’d order it again.My Wife has the salmon roulade. Soooo good!We had crème brûlée for dessert.Overall it was a great night out. Great atmosphere! It reminded me of my favorite restaurant in Gettysburg, the Dobbin House.We will definitely be back!“
