“This was the first time at Jake's, had to do take out because I was pressed for time. We got the country fried steak with mash potatoes/gravy and the ham club with fries. The portions were large, the price was right and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended.“
“This place is inside of the ole Eagle Hotel in Waterford, Pa. A real hidden treasure in this small but very historic town. The interior of the building is beautiful and the food is GREAT. Servers are like your own mother's. Wonderful people.Parking: There is street parking with some handicap parking spots in the street. There is an handicap ramp to the far backside of the building. There is also a larger parking lot to the back, but parking is hard to find as the is a favorite place for many customers.Kid-friendliness: Many kids attended with their families. They seem to enjoy the historic place and the good food.“

“We barely walked out the door, and I couldn't wait to leave a review. I am from Erie, grew up here, but live in Cleveland now. And this restaurant trumps every place we've been in the past 5 years! We literally found this place by accident, and couldn't be happier. It is perfectly small, with more integrity than most high end restaurants I've been to in any "big" city anywhere else. Food was PHENOMENAL!! Filet mignon was the best I've ever had, and pork belly tacos were simply impeccable. Chef was someone we could've easily talked to for hours, so kind and personable. “Stopped for lunch before heading home from splash lagoon. The menu was great, my server was awesome. He sent us away with to go cups of coffee (that we desperately needed and didn't know they would do). They no longer have bob Evans near my home and I didn't even know how much I missed them. The menu has changed a little but is a nice change of pace over our usual restaurants. The food was perfect! And the price was quite a bit cheaper than our usual places too!“

“Their Beer Battered Fries are amazing! They offered ranch with them which is not usually my choice of condiment. But when I tried it, I couldn't get enough! Try THIS ranch! Burger and Crispy Chicken Sandwich were amazing! ? The server asked if I'd like to add anything to my chicken - I suggested onion. She asked raw or grilled - I wouldn't have even thought to ask for grilled but I got delicious caramelized onions! The service was quick too! Their bar is beautiful, decorated with animals and a woodsy theme throughout the place. Couldn't recommend it more.“
“My friend and I got the 4 cheese and bacon ? sandwich ? on sourdough bread! We both finished our own halves because the waitress told the cook, it was for 2 people! That was a fantastic sandwich, the 4 cheeses were blended and melted evenly, adding to the flavor of garlic and the bread ?? just awesome ??“

“Amazing food & great service! So glad we decided to try out Max & Erma's for dinner. It was hands down the best food we've had out in a long time! We were so impressed with the quality of the food. The Cajun pasta with chicken was cooked & seasoned to perfection - As well as the Swiss & mushroom burger, tortilla soup & smothered chicken. We even enjoyed chocolate cake for dessert which is a rare occasion. Our server was great too! It was refreshing to have such good customer service. A must try. Can't wait to come back.“

The food was pretty good too and all around no complaints. Easy place to stop in for breakfast from the highway and you know exactly what you're getting with IHOP.
