“We had a fantastic breakfast and lunch! We brought our 18-month old and he had a sweet little booster seat so he could see everything in the dinor. He loved watching the guests come and go. He even helped himself to his own pancake using the plastic silverware the waitress so kindly gave him. I ordered a classic smash burger and it was absolutely fabulous. Can’t wait to visit again. “We barely walked out the door, and I couldn't wait to leave a review. I am from Erie, grew up here, but live in Cleveland now. And this restaurant trumps every place we've been in the past 5 years! We literally found this place by accident, and couldn't be happier. It is perfectly small, with more integrity than most high end restaurants I've been to in any "big" city anywhere else. Food was PHENOMENAL!! Filet mignon was the best I've ever had, and pork belly tacos were simply impeccable. Chef was someone we could've easily talked to for hours, so kind and personable. “I have been coming to Oliver's for a few years now. It's just about some of the best food in Erie with some of the best views of the bay! This place gets slammed on holidays and during special events, so reservations are recommended. The service here is generally pretty good. We have always had knowledgeable wait staff and friendly bartenders. Their drink sizes and flavors have certainly changed over the last year. Right now they want you to pay $17 for a blackberry margarita that is NOT fresh whatsoever. It is a mix and the flavor is just not there. The regular margarita is the same flavor, only for $9. This needs to change, pronto. Please add more options with mezcal and Prosecco. You should be on par with other fine dining restaurants around the country! The food is always excellent. I have had the pork chop, steak and souvlaki salad on my most recent visits. The waffle dessert is a sure fire favorite and my husband never lets me share his :) A great ending to a fine meal. We'll always return to Oliver's, but would love to see some new menu items and also a tweak of the drink menu.“

While the old place was absolutely phenomenal and I miss the owner dearly, the new staff is exceptional and the crowd/clientele is amazing! I have yet to try their food but many people were enjoying their food, the drinks were reasonably priced, and there was a wonderful energy in the room. The atmosphere was exceptional, it reminded me of when people used to go to watch live music and there was standing room only. If you want to hear live bands this is the place to go! Never rushed, and the restaurant appeared clean..Cons- bread was good quality, but felt cold, so naturally, the butter wouldn't melt. Dinner salad was just iceburgh lettuce and a few microscopic red cabbage, a carrot sliver with 2 cherry tomatoes. No cucumbers, onions, or croutons. Food was under seasoned but corrected with much salt, black pepper & parmesan cheese. Side pasta was overcooked as expected, so no surprise for me, but you should know that it's pre-cooked. No fresh brewed iced tea, just the kind from the bar gun. NO DESSERTS! They never have any, FYI.“

I DO want them to return to the original delish mac they had. “After a day visiting Presque Isle we were starved so after a Yelp check we settled on Beechwood Inn's Hardwood which shares space with Erie Brewery. The place is very large, clean & accommodating. We were greeted on entering & the young man explained their services & menu. We sat outside on their covered patio. The pumpkin beer was great, the bbq wings were delicious, we all had hamburgers, which we all agreed were awesome, even the fries. Can't go wrong choosing this establishment. And dog friendly too.“
“JR's, Sloppy Duck, is in the marina. Great view of the bay and the boats. The food was good, and the service was fast. The home made chips with old bay were great with drinks. The hamburgers are good and huge. This is the off season so the outdoor bar was closed but they did have outdoor seating on the bay side of the building.“

He sent us away with to go cups of coffee (that we desperately needed and didn't know they would do). They no longer have bob Evans near my home and I didn't even know how much I missed them. She asked raw or grilled - I wouldn't have even thought to ask for grilled but I got delicious caramelized onions! The service was quick too! “My family and I love this place. It's built in an old train station and the ambiance is amazing. Every time I have gone the service has also been very good. Now I have gotten almost everything on the menu from the numerous times I have gone. What stands out to me is the burgers, sandwiches, and the PRETZALS. If you're going to this place you have to try the pretzels they are to die for. They also have a very wide selection of beers. I usually get the turkey rachel with american instead of swiss which is really good. A few things that I haven't liked are the nachos. It's almost like they put some shredded cheese on tortilla chips under a hot plate. Another thing is they had a special for a cajun shrimp pasta (pictured) and it was horrible. It tasted like spicy watery pasta. Other than those two items I love this place. I recommend this to visitors and everyone because of the location and good food!!!“
“A few of my buddies and I started getting together once a month for a few beers and wings, and this month was Park Tavern. This was my first time there as it's about a 25 min drive for me, and I have several wing places much closer to me. Our server was super friendly, and the wings we got were some of the biggest wings I've ever had! The flavor was great! We also got a pizza to share, which was also very good. Definitely worth the drive for me. I'll be going back again for sure!“

“We came to Syd's after our second day on a 5 day bicycle tour. We wanted to have a solid meal. Boy was it. The tossed salad was fresh and salad dressings are all home made and so delicious I wanted to dip my finger in the remaining dressing while waiting on my meatloaf I had the meatloaf Marsala which was rich and flavorful. The rice pilaf was also delicious...my buddy got Baked Cod and mashed potatoes... He said it was exquisite!“

Nice selection of specials offered nightly. Warm bread served with dinners. Roasted vegetables served with my entrée were decadently delicious (a mix of grilled squash & peppers). Casey, our server was very helpful always with a smile..Cons- Low ceiling painted black makes for a claustrophobic feeling. Salad dressing and butter in plastic cups (low class). Interesting because side dinner sauce came out in nice metal ramekin. Dinner salad comes with cherry tomatoes, red onion, cucumbers, iceberg, and other lettuce leaves, but also pre-packaged croutons. Apparently, I got the end of the bag because my salad was covered in crumbs. Salmon was overcooked, but edible, no complaints, however, I specifically asked what roasted vegetables came with the salmon and was told, but only a garnish of kale & carrot curls were on the plate. Once alerted, our pleasant server, Casey, quickly brought out the side of veggies. Desserts were offered, but unfortunately tasted as if made off-site and stored in a freezer for a while and were slightly stale. That's a bad way to end a meal.Live music is a nice touch, but unfortunately, it was too loud for conversation at the table..I would definitely return because the food is very good.But I just wanted to give a fair and balanced review.“
“I've been to this particular U pick 6 location before, my girlfriend was craving a Margherita pizza and a Rubaeus beer. The place was fully packed, so we decided to sit at the bar. The barmaid offered us the food menu and the beer menu. Unfortunately for my girlfriend the Rubaeus beer was not available on tap, but at least they had it on bottle. I asked to sample a blonde Guinness, a harp Lager, a me & Julio, Mexican lager, and a Blood orange sky. I decided to stick with the blonde Guinness because it paired well with the Margherita pizza. After the pizza we order a Guinness cheese fondue. Which was delicious, it was served with pretzel knots on the side and apple slices, and when we finished the knots and the apple slices and asked for an additional order of apple slices to finish without fondue and another Margherita pizza. The manager brought our pizza piping hot, and again it was perfect! This place has the best pizza in Erie!“
“Amazing food & great service! So glad we decided to try out Max & Erma's for dinner. It was hands down the best food we've had out in a long time! We were so impressed with the quality of the food. The Cajun pasta with chicken was cooked & seasoned to perfection - As well as the Swiss & mushroom burger, tortilla soup & smothered chicken. We even enjoyed chocolate cake for dessert which is a rare occasion. Our server was great too! It was refreshing to have such good customer service. A must try. Can't wait to come back.“
