“The guys were so friendly and professional. My food didn’t take long. I just saw that they were open and decided to give it a try.I had the shrimp n grits and it was FIRE!!!!!! The potatoes looked a bit on the dark side but they were not burnt and tasted good. It wasn’t overly seasoned. My grits tho! They were creamy with a sweet taste. I wished they served breakfast more than just a day or so out of the week ?. I tried to come back the next morning lol. Please give this place a try. I’m a fan ❤️“

“Not the same as it was, but the new owner is passionate and the staff is top notch. I miss some of the charm of the old vibe, but the Pub is in the hands of someone who appears to care about the place, while following her own vision. Still one of the best spots to grab a Guinness, eat a little (good) pub food and share a good conversation.“

“Everything from the walk in the door to the very last bite was AMAZING! Cute smaller place with some seating and cute hammock swings. The owner was taking an order at the counter but greeted me and helped me as soon as he finished with them. He said it would be a 20 minute wait as items are made fresh. My food came out within the promised timeframe. The honey hot chicken sandwich and fries smelled so good, I couldn’t wait to get home. After a 30 minute drive home, the food was still hot and tasted way better than I expected after transport. I can’t wait to go back and try it fresh.This is a small made fresh business, if traveling a far distance try to check availability. Try to give them some ease and understanding that items may not be available and hours may fluctuate.“

“We stopped by at 5:15pm on Saturday for a quick meal. The spot used to be a molecular gastronomy spot called Alchemy and it seems to be a whiskey and burger joint. My burger was pretty good as were the fries. Everything came out fairly quickly and was tasty. I also enjoyed the cocktail I got. The ambiance was confusing because the elegant and upscale decor leftover from Alchemy clashed with the blaring country music and casual uniforms of the staff.“

“A delightful breakfast, brunch, and lunch restaurant at the site of the old Pamela's restaurant. It retains the same basic layout, but with a new decor, and it feels much more upscale, spacious, and cleaner.The food is international in flavor, and is delicious. I needed to look up a few things on the menu, and I always enjoy finding new things, so that was great! The service is very good, too!“

“Wicked busy Friday night, the 2 bartenders were swamped, they still have a great attitude and go the job done in a timely manner. “Had dinner there Saturday first time. Treehugger burger and gearhead burger were very good as were the fries. Had risotto balls for appetizer, terrible. Risotto mushy and flavorless. Chef needs to add chicken stock, heavy cream and parm and not overcook. Coating was good and crisp. Will go back , but try meatballs instead!!“

“Max & Erma's is one place you will never be dissatisfied with in their food. I have had their French onion soup before and it is amazing, so I thought I'd try their clam chowder. What a delight to get a spoon full of classic in every bite and not a mouth full of potatoes. I would have liked a bit more clam flavor and salt“

The humus platter was plentiful and scrumptious. But our ultimate pleasure was in the hanger steak & gouda risotto. Definitely would go back! The desert was good but not great (rasberry/lemon cake; we'll have to try a different one next time).“

“Great experience!! If you are really lucky Dom will be your server. Everything was prompt, he kept our drinks full, and didn't let our food sit under a warmer to dry out.. The ribs, IMO, were the best value out of everything ordered.. they were super smoky, tender where expected, paired well with the fries (PRO TIP: ask for BBQ sauce on side)... The slaw could use some work (dry more like a salad) and the baked beans are our least favorite of everything. They had a strong taco taste.“

Staff is friendly and food is mostly good; fries were delicious, but stay away from the maple chicken. It's literally just dry chicken wings drizzled in table syrup. Burger was above average for Pittsburgh; somewhere near Five Guys quality. I miss BRGR.“

“Every Lent I go on a fish sammich quest. Who has the best fish sammich in the Pittsburgh area. My wife and I have been from Cranberry, to Moon Twnship, to Greensburgh to our local are in search of who has the best fish sammich for 2024. Hands down, House of 1000 Beers, New Ken, has by far the best sandwich. The fish was incredible , crispy, clearly patted down before putting on the bun. About 3 to 4in longer then the 12in bun. The bun itself was perfect. Lettuce, tomato, onion and cheese. Perfect tartar sauce…daaaamn! It is by far the best fish sammich in 100 mile radius. Whoever is making these in the kitchen is doing a great job. They take pride in their craft, job well done! Seriously, if ur looking for the best fish sammich, look no further than House of 1000 Beers , New Ken. Damn, job well done.“

“We drove 6 hours from Richmond Va to New Kingston Pa for a concert. We got there with enough time for a meal before and decided to eat here.Let me tell you amazing. All the way around. “Can't beat the value of the Saturday buy 2 get 1 free chicken thigh sandwich deal. My only complaint is that the size of the chicken seems to have shrunk over the past year. Taste is competitive with other chicken sandwiches of its price range. Other menu items can be a bit lackluster, hence only 4 stars.“

“Big fan of this dive bar! Perfect place if you need quick food and a drink, and can sit at the bar. Also great to go with a group after a long bike ride on the trails! All the wraps are 10/10. Pump track wrap and rail trail are my favorite. I've had the best burgers ever here but they are not consistent. I think it depends on who is cooking because sometimes the are cooked to perfection, and other times they are dry and over done. But the toppings are always unique and good. Service is what you would expect from a dive bar, always friendly and attentive but let you be with your food and beer. Cool place.“

Wings are very expensive, $11 for 6 and like $19 for 12. Wing quality was mediocre at best. I wasn't impressed at all. They were cooked well, however. Shots are $6.50. “Stopped in looking for a sandwich and came upon the steak and chimichurri sandwich. I was hesitant at first due to the price being $20 for a sandwich and side salad, along with the steak possibly being over cooked, but my worries were washed away after it arrived. The steak was juicy and tender and the sauce that it came with was to die for. The side salad was just ok and nothing special but the sandwich was definitely worth the price point and could definitely be split between two people or as a take home meal. The servers who brought the meal were sweet and very friendly! The bakery square City Kitchen dining area is a great place to enjoy a meal with friends and family.“

“I always have a really nice experience at this location. The staff is always super friendly and makes you feel special when you come in! I am more of a custard person myself, but I think that they're vanilla is really good. I also love their twist cones! However, this new churro ice cream is definitely a crowd pleaser I thought it taste a lot like a churro! Oh, I do love their cheesecake flurry too. I feel like it gives you plenty of cheesecake!“

The food isn't as good as some other local small business ice cream shops but the service is above average and the atmosphere and location are central to a lot of other places making this an excellent place to go for ice cream!Parking: Parking is in an adjacent lot, business is on a steep hill so turning into and out of the lot can be difficult. Parking is free and plentiful though.“
