“I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the food and service. The service was friendly, efficient, and warm. There are vegetarian options for both cold and hot sandwiches. I tried the hot half Falafel sandwich combo with fries. The sandwich, right down the the bread was amazing as were the home fries. It is quite filling and may even be enough to serve two for lunch. The espresso allongé was bold and paired well with the sandwich. We saw a discount option for 10 off sandwiches with a beer. The cafe restaurant has a nice environment to work in, but we were a bit unsure if it would be acceptable as no other patrons appeared to come for that purpose. “The taste was there, but moderate. I have clearly seen a difference in quantity and quality in the 2 years I have been going there. The hoogie, much less cold meats, but above all, not real authentic extra strong capicolo. The quantity of cold meat has decreased. I'm going to try 2.0, otherwise it will be another franchise that has lost its quality to be famous. Never change winning recipes.“
“Elie found this café and suggested that we go and discover it together. To set up is a little bit weird, you order from the main cash. They place your order you find a seat and they serve it to you. There’s nothing weird about it. It’s just confusing when you get in because they don’t necessarily explain it to you. we’ve seen other places give a kind of number that you place on your table to identify one to the person that they know what to expect and two for the server to bring the food to the right table.We ordered a couple of sandwiches and a Caprese salad we decided to go with the large size which in all honesty was a little bit too big . There was cheese and tomatoes, which is great, however, way too much balsamic and not enough basil. For people who have travelled around and have eaten various types of Caprese salads (not that we’re being snobby) but this was not one of the better ones sadly.The sandwich was OK, the bread was really good. However, we didn’t really care much for the chopped up lettuce inside and the lack of certain toppings like bacon for instance . There were just a few strips, barely enough to cover the bread area. The fries, however, came in the gigantic basket which we were unable to finish.It was OK to visit. The decor inside is nice. a nice place to visit if you’re looking for a quick breakfast in a downtown area of Montreal.“
“Came here for to buy a few groceries and couldn’t resist trying the sandwiches. Took a few minutes to get them but boyyy they were amazing. Every ingredient felt like it complemented each other and the bread was soft and crunchy. Also went for the spicy mayo and jalapeños for an extra kick.We tried a traditional sandwich and a poulet trésor. Cappuccino was also good. Total came to 33$. Pictures down below.“
