About Le Troquet

Le Troquet serves delicious, in-house made food, including the must-try caramel cheesecake. The owner is kind and accommodating, and the restaurant features new and beautiful art to admire and purchase. It is known as a center of excellence for hamburgers, particularly the world-class GOAT burger that everyone should try. Enjoy comfort food at its best, including outstanding fries, nachos, fried chicken sandwiches, and the tasty Fancy Nancy burger with melted brie. The poutine, hot dogs, and panini are also delicious, with decent serving sizes. The French fries, especially with meat sauce and cheese, are satisfactory but could be served at a hotter temperature. The atmosphere is cool and cozy, perfect for a relaxed yet festive dinner, with edgy artwork and friendly, attentive service that makes all the difference. The cappuccino is one of the best around, and the French Onion Soup has a rich beef broth flavor, although it can be a bit salty. The location is convenient, and despite being busy, the servers remain very friendly. Highly recommended for great food and a welcoming vibe.

emplacement charmant, nourriture délicieuse, un peu cher, mais quand même abordable.

Brought my son for orientation at UOttawa. We were starving after ( had his friend with us) headed over to Gatineau to check this place out—so glad we did.
Food was unreal, great music, fun vibe, and our server was amazing.
Absolutely loved it—we’ll be back.

Bar none best spot in downtown Gatineau for a weekday lunch, food is consistently great, excellent selection of drinks, and the staff are friendly, expedient and helpful (particularly if you're not up on your local craft brews). The patio is lovely in the summer, just as much as the soups are a comfort in the winter. Highly recommended.
