“I heard good things about Elena and I understand the hype now! We tried a lot of different kind of pizza and they were all very good. I generally prefer the ones with tomato sauce but I enjoyed trying different flavours. The pizza with the potatoes and the one with the mushrooms was nice to try. I didn’t enjoy the 4 cheese one but that’s just my preference. Their dough was the star of the show 10/10! It was delicious!“
“Vin Mon Lapin is THE restaurant to absolutely try in Montreal!!! We find it at the top of the ranking of the 100 best restaurants in Canada and it fully deserves its 1st place! From starter to dessert, it is a unique experience of textures and flavors thanks to the creativity of chef Marc-Olivier Frappier. My favorite starter was without a doubt the classic “scallop croque”, Yummy!!! My favorite dish: pork shoulder on a bed of spelled… so delicious! And finally my favorite dessert (they were all sooo good): maple cannolo. It’s an experience to be repeated often, especially because the menu varies according to the seasons and availability, so I’ll definitely be going back very, very soon!“
“commandé 2 plateaux de 30 morceaux ch. il est arrivé avec 1 plateau et après le décompte il y avait que 50 morceaux. Après commandé 5 repas reçu 4 et 15 min.à 20 min. plus tard reçu la 5ième entrée on m'avait oublié, pour se racheter il nous on offre 2 entrées genre oeuf visceux moyen comme goût. Désolé pour le service. A+“
“The atmosphere is trendy and inviting and the service was impeccable without being pretentious. Each dish was delicious while featuring seasonal ingredients. We particularly liked the radish salad. Nice selections of natural wines and cocktails. Do not miss!“
“First experience at Vin Papillon. First of all, the place is small, the tables are close to each other, that surprised me a little! The service, although immaculate, was however very quick at the start of the meal, perhaps a little too much. Afterwards, it adjusted, it was less rushed and more pleasant! However, the quality of the dishes was up to par. It's excellent. It's creative, delicious! The ham is a must, as is the dessert, carrot cake ice cream sandwich.Excellent choice of wine. All quite affordable! 7 shared dishes, 2 glasses of wine, dessert and coffee for $100.It's wonderfull ! A 5 star without a doubt!!!“
“We celebrated a trio of birthdays while we were visiting Montreal. Nolan is super cool vibes and cozy. We let our waiter who I believe is one of the owners curate a menu for our group of 6 at a price point that we set. Felt like we had a great variety of food and good portions and they were able to accommodate some items for my dietary preferences. The food was really good but what was the best was the service. The workers were warm and so friendly and we stayed many hours enjoying the vibes. Highly recommend!“
“Merci infiniment pour le magnifique service de Maxime. On a mangé comme des rois. Staff agréable et prix, ma foi, raisonnables pour la quantité de nourriture et d’alcool consommés. Nous reviendrons! ☺️ Mathilde et Guillaume (le gars qui déménage à Lanaudière)“
“Pubjelly is a must in Montreal. Great food amazing ambience and just a superb service staff. Details matter and the team delivers on all fronts. Pubjelly is the perfect mix when you are looking for a fun night , a celebration or just a great dinner à deux! Quality is the focus ! Bravo à l'équipe! V.Pellegrino“
“Went here for a girls' night out and really had a great time! Fantastic atmosphere, great service, delicious wine and food. We shared a few dishes, but the mackerel and the sea bass really stood out for us! I wish there was more in each plate for sharing, but other than that, we had a great time, and I'd come back again!“
“Quel restaurant incroyable! Merci à Caroline et Salomé pour l'accueil et le service de feu, et aussi à toutes les autres personnes impliquées dans notre service qui ont rendu notre soirée entre amis exceptionnelle. J'y retourne rapidement sans aucun doute tant pour le service, les conseils personnalisés et la nourriture qui me fait encore saliver 48 h plus tard!“
“At first glance it is a quaint, small typical style old montreal restaurant. Exposed stone walls giving us the feel of once upon a time. The wine cellar is large and visible. The staff are all quite friendly and courteous. The owner is friendly, present and on top of it all. The food was tasty. I guess all that one looks for in a eatery of this caliber. So we ate well. We drank well. And we enjoyed each other's company. ( By we I mean my very good friend from out of town and I.)Unfortunately the one thing that bothered me the most was that when I booked our table I was told that, (after much hum and ha-ing by the person taking the reservation), we would have to be done and out by 8 pm . So I agreed thinking that an early dinner,( 6pm) would not be a great issue and having till 8 pm would be more than enough time to enjoy my birthday dinner . Well from 6 till 8 there were a total of 8 people in the entire restaurant. As we left there was only two other people still eating. And no one madly rushing the restaurant to come in. I don't think we needed to be told that we had a cut off time if there were barely any other souls coming. It just made us feel rushed. I understand the logistics of it all. If you create a scenario where there is hight demand then most people will possibly want nothing more than to have an IN to the popular restaurant. So there you have it. The entire evening was enjoyable and yummy. But the false pressure was not needed.“
“It appears they opened in 2022 roughly. We’ve been walking along Ontario Street for a long time and never really got the point to enter. One afternoon we decided to go for a walk and headed in a new direction. We entered It must’ve been a few minutes after four, there were very few people inside. We realized that they had just opened their doors for the day At 4pm. They have a pretty good list of drinks cocktails and a very good beer selection. They also have a happy hour with a price reduction on select drinks. The decor is very modern, there’s something inside that makes you feel energized. The services is great, Jerome was our server, and he took very good care of us.We only went for a few drinks, but will definitely come back and try some of their food.Parking: Your best bet is taking the metro to Berri UQAM and walking over. However, if you are coming by Ca, you can probably strike up a parking on Ontario Street or Atataken.“
“This was one of the most incredible restaurants I've ever been to. Wine? Incredible. Food? Incredible. Vibes? Incredible.Everything is so delicious and fresh and yummy. Their signature knuckles calzones were phenomenal. Then we got the kale salad which was the freshest thing I've ever had. We finished it off with carbonara (with pasta made fresh from directly across the street) and Wagyu beef stuffed onions. Just all around incredible and I'll never stop raving about this restaurant. Can’t wait to come back to Montreal for this and try other times on the menu.“
“For a luxury Valentine's Day dinner, 5 courses with wine pairing. All the services were wonderful, well balanced. The service was very attentive without disturbing. One of the top 3 favorite dinner experiences. My favorite was the foie gras on toast with carpaccio and coffee sauce. It's a more expensive dining experience that's worth every dollar.“
“If I could give give 10 starts I would. Amazing and cozy ambiance. Great coffee selection, great food selection. Simple and delicious. Staff is super friendly. Highly recommended if you happen to pass by in Verdun !Wheelchair accessibility: A ramp was built by the owner to accommodate wheelchairs.“
“We had an incredible experience at Chi! Wonderful food, the ambiance could not be better and the staff is absolutely amazing. The fries and poke bowl were so delicious. We can’t wait to come back. This truly is a hidden gem. Highly recommend!“
“My first time at Chez Lionel, what a beautiful discovery. The food was delicious and very tasty, reasonable prices. The service was Exceptional, the staff, best I have had in very long time. So attentive with us, made us feel very special. Well done management in choosing your staff, makes me what to go back. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“
“Excellent card! All the dishes were delicious. On the other hand, the homemade sourdough bread was ordinary and I found a piece of silicone kitchen utensils in the whipped butter that accompanies the bread. Reported to 2 servers and no one apologized for the inconvenience or made a commercial gesture. We expect better in this type of establishment“
“Camilia was an absolute delight. One of the best servers i’ve had in a very very long time, likely within my 26 years of life on this earth. Amazing recommendations (the Brussel sprouts are a must), amazing smile, excellent attentive service.11/10 thank you so much.“
“We've often walked by with the intention on trying this charming, understated café-buvette for brunch and we finally found the perfect snowy Sunday for it.We started with the obligatory mimosa (for the basic b in us) after a complimentary cup of maple syrup drizzled fruit. We followed that with an outright divine 8-hour braised ham grilled cheese that knocked our snow-filled socks off and smoked salmon between an English muffin and hollandaise topped eggs bendict we couldn't get enough of. Both dishes came with exquisite potatoes and an essential homemade mayo to dip them in. Needless to say we didn't leave a single crumb of this fantastic, elevated Sunday brunch. Our experience was made all the better by friendly, helpful and extremely quick service.“
“Fantastique expérience culinaire du début à la fin, accompagnée par un excellent service. On a particulièrement aimé les agnolotti de foie de volaille servis avec noisettes et vincotto de camerises, mais tout était absolument délicieux - je dirais même renversant. Merci pour la belle soirée!“
“Charcuterie Board Perfection! Lovely selection of meats and cheeses that you can customize by ordering each cheese, meat and accompaniment. We really enjoyed this local spot after a long day of walking and touring Montreal. Super fast & attentive service from Jerome. The food was quick, correct and absolutely delicious! Although it's on a busy street, we enjoyed our experience and would recommend.“
“Such a fun spot with an excellent wine selection, delicious popcorn & small bites. The staff was super helpful and very knowledgeable about the wine. This is the type of place you wish was in your neighborhood so you could go a few times per week!“
“What a wonderful evening we had at Entre Deux! The service was impeccable, the cocktails were complex, sophisticated and delicious. Also, If you like wine, this is your place in Montreal. The selection is incredible and we tasted some exceptional products. The food was excellent, the portions generous and the taste simply amazing. A wonderful place to discover and visit frequently. ?Cheers to this place !“
“I'm a regular at Pick-Up, at one time we went there once a week with friends! It’s a bit like our “wonder of Hochelaga” and we bring ALL our loved ones visiting Montreal here. The garlic fries are amazing, the burgers too, the prices are ok. My absolute favorite is the Seoul Chicken; their fried chicken is second to none. The vegetarian options are great and the fried cauliflower pieces are really good :)Vegetarian options: Fake meat ball for classic burgers, fried cauliflower pieces for fried chicken burgers.“
“Tasty pasta, nice ambiance, good service! Focaccia bread is fresh and nice here , they bake it. The only negative point about Barbara is there is no reservation and it is first come first serve, so you need to give your name when you arrive and on Saturday night waiting time was about 50minutes!Vegetarian options: There is vegetarian pasta in the menu“
“The atmosphere is incredible! You can practically see the history on the walls, it feels like a place you'd want to comfortably relax in (complete with lounge-style couches). The staff made great drinks and were very polite. A terrific choice to splurge on a romantic and haute-class evening.“
“I said to myself: wine bar and desserts... ? .... Woooo, what an incredible idea ?! And yes, it lived up to my expectations created by the magnificent photos we see. I was charmed by the creative, surprising desserts...next level. A delicious alcohol pairing suggested by the attentive service of the team of this little corner hidden from the vices that we share in a cozy atmosphere inviting us to enjoy the moment and the flavors that are available to us. THANKS!“
“La nourriture est excellente, le service impeccable, l’ambiance chaleureuse et nous avons très hâte d’aller vivre l’expérience du brunch du dimanche. Merci à toute l’équipe je recommande fortement cet endroit. Resto qui peut très bien accueillir des groupes et très facile d’accès tout près de l’autoroute 15. Merci encore. Chantal Gagnon“
“Truly a classic, superb, well-seasoned and original tuna tartare with avocado and tomatoes. Approximate service with a certain delay between each person's dishes and an error for one person. We forgive them because the good will is there.“
“Amazing little spot. Was recommended to me by my sister-in-law. Service was great. I asked the server to surprise me with wines he thought I would like and all 3 glasses that I tried were stellar and unique in their own way. I’m a wine nerd so I really appreciated learning about each wine. Cheers!“
“Absolutely winning concept. Good organic wines that you can taste in order to choose wisely. Very kind. A beautiful, dynamic, dedicated and attentive team. You feel good there as soon as you enter. A big thank you to Vincent ? it feels good to go out to a place where you feel like you can just be yourself?“
“My friend and I went to eat and the truth is that the service was number one, excellent with the young Salvador, he is a loving person, my respects and only for that reason we will return more often, the only bad thing is that he only works on Fridays and that is a shame.Luckily, the Tuesday we arrived I was there because I was replacing a colleague.“
“When you enter Le Lundi, you feel like you're going to eat with a friend in a Montreal apartment. The decor is sober but the atmosphere warm, with wood, plants and windows which let in all the light. Behind the seemingly simple dishes hide a thought process, and a desire to highlight Quebec products, without getting lost in too much mixture of ingredients. It's good and the staff is always very welcoming.“
“**Title: "The Pink Flamingo and the Mystical Wine"**Once upon a time, on the Plateau Mont-Royal in Montreal, there lived a pink flamingo named Félix. Felix was an eccentric bird, with bright pink feathers and a beak as long as a baguette. But what made Félix truly unique was his passion for wine. One day, as the sun set and the lights on the Plateau came on, Félix decided to treat himself to a little treat. He had heard about a mysterious bar called "Le Rouge-Gorge". It was said that this bar was frequented by fantastic creatures and that its wine had magical properties.Felix entered the bar, his webbed feet sliding across the polished floor. The Robin Hood was a strange place, with walls lined with feathers and tables carved from cherry wood. At the counter, a one-eyed crow served customers.“A glass of your best wine, please,” Felix said to the crow. The raven handed him a glass of red wine, as deep as twilight. Felix raised his beak and took a sip. Instantly, he felt warmth spread throughout his body. Its feathers began to shimmer like stars."This wine is incredible! Where does it come from?" asked Felix. The raven smiled mysteriously. "It's a well-kept secret, my dear flamingo. This wine is made from grapes grown on the moon. Each sip transports you to distant lands and takes you on extraordinary adventures."Felix was intrigued. He took another sip and suddenly found himself perched on the back of a dragon, flying over snow-capped mountains. Then he found himself at the top of Everest, chatting with a yeti who told him jokes about penguins.“This wine is incredibly wacky!” exclaimed Felix. “I want to buy a whole case of them!”The raven nodded. "It's a wise choice, my friend. But be careful, this wine has side effects. You may find yourself in situations even more absurd than this."Felix didn't care. He ordered a case of lunar wine and left the bar, drunk with happiness and mystery. From then on, every evening, he sipped his wine while contemplating the stars from the roof of his building. And who knows, maybe one day he would meet a yeti penguin in the heart of Montreal.---And there you have it, the wacky story of the pink flamingo Félix and his mystical wine at the bar “Le Rouge-Gorge”! ? ✨“
“We had already gone for workshops and we decided to go and eat a nice full meal. We live on the South Shore of Mtl, so it’s not really our area but the experience and the detour are worth it. Everything was excellent! A nice 10/10! We will definitely return.“
“The owners, Marie-Michèle and Julien, have managed to create three atmospheres that are very distinct from each other, making Rose-Marie my favorite restaurant for aperitifs, small group dinners and even private events on the 1st floor. Our visit on April 24 was precisely to mark a 25th wedding anniversary. We let ourselves be guided by the judicious recommendations of Julien and Esther both for the menu to share and for the wines. We even danced and brought back some beautiful slow songs to my in-laws.“
“Nous avons fait un excellent 5/7 hier soir, le 26 novembre. Le service était d’un professionnalisme a la hauteur d’un 5/5. Fabrice est d’une élégance exceptionnelle. Ca fait du bien de vivre une expérience remarquable dans ce quartier.“
“So, this review is a little different from most, because people often come to a place one time experience a good thing and drop a positive review. I on the other hand expect consistency and I am a little on the OCD side, especially when I travel. That just means I find the restaurants that I like and I have been known to eat the same meals two days in a row. One of the things that stands out immediately to me is that for the most part you have the same staff working dinner or evening shifts as you do the brunch on Saturday and Sunday. This makes for long days but it produces consistency. Timeliness and courtesy are number one for the ladies on the floor. Attention to detail is critical to the men on the cookline, as each plate comes out as an arrangement of food, not simply a pile of ingredients. I was in Montreal for a conference from Friday to Sunday so I was able to eat 2 dinners and 2 brunches, and I have to say they were quite exceptional. I do give the brunch a slight tip of the cap for being more consistent of the two meals and having the best consistency with the Big Brunch, the Americano, and the fresh squeezed juice. It is probably one of the best breakfast/brunches I have had since Verviers, Brussels in 2019. The Big Brunch consisted of fried sunny side up eggs, a sausage, fried potatoes with hollandaise, cubed fresh tomato, sourdough toast, fresh Americano, and fresh orange and grapefruit juice. The flavors work together to complement each other with the eggs having been lightly peppered by the chef and maybe fried in the salty fat from the sausage to give them the right amount of seasoning. Dinner the first day I had a beer and a ribeye prepared medium rare with pepper seasoning and a brown gravy accompanying the pureed potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly. The next night I had the charcutier meat with sourdough, which was a nice assortment of the traditional fare one might find. It would have been nice to have found a smaller plate that include both meat and cheese. I did have a bottle of the California 2020 Elizabeth Spencer Cab and it paired well with everything, sometimes a little fruity and others a little spicy depending on how the notes hit the palette. Dinner was the same as the night before, but although the ribeye was ordered medium rare it came out more to medium. That was a little disappointing, but still satisfying in the end. To finish my meal I had the brownie with pecan crumble and sauce which finished off the bottle of Cab perfectly. This morning I had an amazing brunch again, and now I must say adieu as I head to the airport to return home.“
“The « tasting menu » isn’t on the menu but be sure to ask if they offer it that night! You will not regret it if you do, we were so full and for $65 /per person it was an incredible deal. Truly an amazing experience between all the balance of Thai flavours. The only place that I could say is better than my mom’s ?“
“Excellent food....service and atmosphere...really 5 stars...delicious food from start to finish....toast with tuna raw, a delicacy to the palate...Barcelona chicken really delicious and the texture Perfect, delicious Galicia-style octopus, bravas potatoes, churro...I really wanted to return...I congratulate chef Juan and his wife...for giving us this great and wonderful experience that my husband and I enjoyed. 5/5 in all its aspects...and needless to say the drinks...both the wines and the A1 beer...Highly recommended..“
“Superb discovery, I loved it! Favorite for the mushroom scallop foie gras ravioli and the lost brioche for dessert ❤️Edit: I went back in 2023 for MTL à table, it was a treat!I had returned there once again before, and it was more in tapas mode, and I found it really subpar compared to the "starter main course meal dessert" formula.“
“We had a lovely time at Pincette and it was definitely a meal to remember! The atmosphere is cozy and stylish at the same time. The service from Michael and Manon was excellent and so friendly. Drinks were delicious (everything we tried was great, with a special shoutout to the French Canadian cocktail). We liked the lobster ravioli so much that we ordered a second plate of it after finishing the first one ^_^ Merci!“
“Bellissimo hosted my Grandson’s Baptism yesterday (January 28, 2024). I can’t say enough about what a hit it was. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was great and the staff, not enough words can describe them. Julian, Lisa and Saverio were the absolute best. They were accommodating, to say the least, and no matter what we needed, they were more than happy to oblige. There were over 60 people at this event and everyone was extremely impressed by the food and service they received. Thank you Bellissimo for making our event so special. Guaranteed we will continue to have functions at your place, there’s no question. Anyone needing a place to hold an event, this place is it, hands down. Again, thank you for making our event so special and the hit that it was.“
“Unique bar with an European feel. The atmosphere had a soft and cozy ambiance. Staff members were lovely and charming. They were playing music with classic hits during the night I was there, which made for a fun vibe. Their blue hawaii cocktail was delicious (the coconut cream is vegan btw)! Would definitely come back here again.“
“There is much to admire on the elegant, well-lit terrace of this natural wine-fueled, Catalan-inspired restaurant. Waitresses wearing plastic face shields as Hassidic men walked by in giant black fur hats created a vibe somewhere between science fiction and shtetl. But it was the creative, lovingly prepared food that I won’t soon forget: charred radishes, rotisserie chicken slow-cooked on a vintage rotisserie oven and grilled octopus with patatas bravas that momentarily transported me to the Spanish coast. All presided over by Lindsay Brennan, one of the best natural wine sommeliers in town.“
“Friendly, helpful service. Pretty attentive. House cocktails, Sous Bois and Fleurs du Mal were nicely crafted and well presented.Very relaxed atmosphere on a Monday, wish the music was louder because it wasn't really memorable. One of the sinks was missing soap and lots of graffiti in the washroom. I know they want to support local artists but not really a fan of the works on display which were all the same style.“
“C'était ma première fois et certainement pas la dernière. La nourriture était vraiment délicieuse, les gnoccis étaient wow et que dire du grill cheese décadent. Le staff ets vraiment friendly, ça donne envie d'y rester toute la soirée, belle carte de vin et de coktails. Allez s'y !“
“Such a quaint and lovely spot for a romantic dinner. Fantastic atmosphere for a date night, definitely. Food was delicious and very well seasoned. And the French onion soup was the perfect starter. Staff was delightfully charming and knowledgeable. Ask for a suggestion for the wine pairing and you won’t be disappointed! Went above and beyond to make our night spectacular. Will definitely go again and would absolutely recommend to anyone!“
“We had a great evening, if you are looking for a simple but nice place to eat that is the place. Food was exceptional, service was excellent especially with Vanessa taking care of us. WE WILL BE BACK VERY SOON AND RECOMMEND YOU TO SOME FRIENDS.“
