“A reasonably priced restaurant that doesn't compromise on quality or service it's certainly a must to visit. Great service with delicious dishes to select from and a fantastic wine selection along with a beautiful terrace, when mother nature permits, is a plus to top up your experience. And, if you are like me (Sweet tooth) always leave room for dessert, some mouth-watering cakes to choose from. Just one downside is the music was slightly high to have a proper conversation but other than that, nothing.“
“Popped into La Tomate Blanche in the heart of the South Shore's Dix30 shopping and entertainment district for a quick lunch. Located on the second floor (above the Japanese resto Niji), La Tomate Blanche has a very modern urbane decor with large windows allowing in tremendous amounts of natural lighting against a predominantly white decor, giving it more of a Miami feel than suburban Montreal.Coincidentally, we ended up ordering the exact same dishes from the Table d'Hote...the soup of the day, Broccoli Soup (excellent...one of the best versions I've had) and the Ravioli di Zucca (ravioli stuffed with pancetta in a creme sauce (also excellent). High regards for the pasta dish.Overall service was very friendly and pleasant with the meal being delivered promptly and in keep with a faster lunch service. Worth a visit if you are in the area. Enjoy!“
“It is my fourth time coming to this restaurant. For 65$ you can feast on the best food of your life. The mushroom pizza is a must, so is the entree with the beets. The service is also incredible. I judge good service by wether or not my water ever gets empty. And it never does here. Someone will always be paying attention to your table making sure your glass is refilled. And this shows their care for your experience beyond judt water, of course. My favourite restaurant. Can’t wait to come back.“
“Nice sushi restaurant ? a little over priced in my opinion. It was so very hyped that I was expecting something over the top. I must say that I was a little disappointed. Not to say that the food or overall experience was not good as it was good just not exceptional. If you are in the area it's definitely a nice spot to check out but I would say the place will make my top 10 or anything, I am a huge sushi snob do so unless you are like me you might not notice but for the price I have had better sushi and Japanese food ?. I didn't get a drink my friends did and found them ok but nothing to write home about so good but a bit too pricey for what it offers in our opinion ? ? ?. It's a relatively nice tapas menu with generous portions so pretty happy about that. The parking in this area is also not easy so I suggest going by metro as it's literally across the street.“
“The atmosphere is trendy and inviting and the service was impeccable without being pretentious. Each dish was delicious while featuring seasonal ingredients. We particularly liked the radish salad. Nice selections of natural wines and cocktails. Do not miss!“
“NOT TO BE MISSED! We moved to Montréal 18 months ago, & we were introduced to PUBJELLY last month, WE’VE BEEN BACK 4 TIMES! Fantastic food—> ’m ‘hooked’ on the ‘Oysters Carbonara’ and all of their pizzas. The staff is absolutely the best from Jonathan, the Manager, to our most recent serveuse, Marie-Suzanne; they make a perfect restaurant experience BEYOND PERFECT.“
“Excellent card! All the dishes were delicious. On the other hand, the homemade sourdough bread was ordinary and I found a piece of silicone kitchen utensils in the whipped butter that accompanies the bread. Reported to 2 servers and no one apologized for the inconvenience or made a commercial gesture. We expect better in this type of establishment“
“Merci infiniment pour le magnifique service de Maxime. On a mangé comme des rois. Staff agréable et prix, ma foi, raisonnables pour la quantité de nourriture et d’alcool consommés. Nous reviendrons! ☺️ Mathilde et Guillaume (le gars qui déménage à Lanaudière)“
“First experience at Vin Papillon. First of all, the place is small, the tables are close to each other, that surprised me a little! The service, although immaculate, was however very quick at the start of the meal, perhaps a little too much. Afterwards, it adjusted, it was less rushed and more pleasant! However, the quality of the dishes was up to par. It's excellent. It's creative, delicious! The ham is a must, as is the dessert, carrot cake ice cream sandwich.Excellent choice of wine. All quite affordable! 7 shared dishes, 2 glasses of wine, dessert and coffee for $100.It's wonderfull ! A 5 star without a doubt!!!“
“UNAVOIDABLE !Having already been here several times, I never took the time to publish a review.By wanting to send the address to someone, I am taking the time to thank this entire Verdun team! From the kitchen to the dining room, including the wines and cocktails, everything is always absolutely delicious and perfect.Flavors, smiles, oysters, kindness, a great setting!Superb tastings with exciting enthusiasts!Thank you to all of you and in particular to Pauline!Keep it up, and people will always come back, thank you a thousand times!“
“Highly recommend this amazing restaurant. The food is so delicious, the atmosphere and location is beautiful. The service is best. The owner in person greets us at the entrance. Very warm and friendly gentleman. If you visit Montreal you should definitely visit this Italian “
“Quel restaurant incroyable! Merci à Caroline et Salomé pour l'accueil et le service de feu, et aussi à toutes les autres personnes impliquées dans notre service qui ont rendu notre soirée entre amis exceptionnelle. J'y retourne rapidement sans aucun doute tant pour le service, les conseils personnalisés et la nourriture qui me fait encore saliver 48 h plus tard!“
“It appears they opened in 2022 roughly. We’ve been walking along Ontario Street for a long time and never really got the point to enter. One afternoon we decided to go for a walk and headed in a new direction. We entered It must’ve been a few minutes after four, there were very few people inside. We realized that they had just opened their doors for the day At 4pm. They have a pretty good list of drinks cocktails and a very good beer selection. They also have a happy hour with a price reduction on select drinks. The decor is very modern, there’s something inside that makes you feel energized. The services is great, Jerome was our server, and he took very good care of us.We only went for a few drinks, but will definitely come back and try some of their food.Parking: Your best bet is taking the metro to Berri UQAM and walking over. However, if you are coming by Ca, you can probably strike up a parking on Ontario Street or Atataken.“
“We had an incredible experience at Chi! Wonderful food, the ambiance could not be better and the staff is absolutely amazing. The fries and poke bowl were so delicious. We can’t wait to come back. This truly is a hidden gem. Highly recommend!“
“If I could give give 10 starts I would. Amazing and cozy ambiance. Great coffee selection, great food selection. Simple and delicious. Staff is super friendly. Highly recommended if you happen to pass by in Verdun !Wheelchair accessibility: A ramp was built by the owner to accommodate wheelchairs.“
“For those unaccustomed to crowded drinking establishments (i.e. me), the experience can be disconcerting due to the decibel level far beyond tolerable, where patrons and music s strive to bury each other under a torrent of noise. We were initially assigned two fixed stools in front of the downstream counter, amidst the hubbub. Having noted the availability of a charming little table for two in a more remote corner, I requested a transfer. I wrongly thought that we would be quieter there, but where there were fewer people, a series of speakers helped to overload the space with more sound. This morning, my poor sensitive ears made me pay for it with a sigh, an annoying reminder of the fact that with sound, just like with drinks, you have to go in moderation. On the other hand, my stomach was happy. The Henrietta bar gave him exactly what he wanted: delicious little dishes full of flavor and good cocktails, all at a relatively low price (total: $55 per person). An excellent beef tartare (my number 1 of the evening), a chicken liver mousse that my friend cleaned like you clean a jar of Nutella, popcorn with Manchego which was decimated one piece after the other and, finally, a fresh and tasty ceviche. Three of the four dishes were accompanied by thin slices of bread toasted to near perfection, crunchy on the surface, but tender in the flesh. However, their multiple presence seemed somewhat redundant to me and perhaps there was a “concept” there. My eyes weren't left out either. The presentation of the dishes was sophisticated. In addition, the dining room is clad in elegance with its white walls, globe lights and mirrors. We therefore find the same good visual taste as in the Atlantic tavern, another establishment of certain owners of the place. My friend and I naturally wanted to take advantage of the aesthetics of the place to take some portraits of ourselves, but in the dim light, our faces obviously didn't stand out so well!In short, advice to cushy gourmets like me who prefer a little peace and quiet, it would be better to go there shortly after opening, during the week, rather than at 9 p.m. on a Saturday evening (!) Despite the protest of my eardrums, I wouldn't refuse to go back in the summer season for the terrace and to taste other little delicacies: the cheese sandwich, the deviled eggs, the Portuguese sandwich, the oyster mushrooms...Vegetarian options: Eggs, salad, mushrooms...Parking: Squares all along the street. After 6 p.m. on weekends, nothing to pay.Kid-friendliness: No. We don't serve Kool-Aid.Wheelchair accessibility: If you can climb four steps!“
“Charcuterie Board Perfection! Lovely selection of meats and cheeses that you can customize by ordering each cheese, meat and accompaniment. We really enjoyed this local spot after a long day of walking and touring Montreal. Super fast & attentive service from Jerome. The food was quick, correct and absolutely delicious! Although it's on a busy street, we enjoyed our experience and would recommend.“
“Fantastique expérience culinaire du début à la fin, accompagnée par un excellent service. On a particulièrement aimé les agnolotti de foie de volaille servis avec noisettes et vincotto de camerises, mais tout était absolument délicieux - je dirais même renversant. Merci pour la belle soirée!“
“Such a fun spot with an excellent wine selection, delicious popcorn & small bites. The staff was super helpful and very knowledgeable about the wine. This is the type of place you wish was in your neighborhood so you could go a few times per week!“
“I'm a regular at Pick-Up, at one time we went there once a week with friends! It’s a bit like our “wonder of Hochelaga” and we bring ALL our loved ones visiting Montreal here. The garlic fries are amazing, the burgers too, the prices are ok. My absolute favorite is the Seoul Chicken; their fried chicken is second to none. The vegetarian options are great and the fried cauliflower pieces are really good :)Vegetarian options: Fake meat ball for classic burgers, fried cauliflower pieces for fried chicken burgers.“
“The atmosphere is incredible! You can practically see the history on the walls, it feels like a place you'd want to comfortably relax in (complete with lounge-style couches). The staff made great drinks and were very polite. A terrific choice to splurge on a romantic and haute-class evening.“
“EXCELLENT restaurant. My favorites: Calamari and mushrooms pasta.Everyone is very nice. We LOVE the candlesIn winter: I strongly recommend you bring a good sweater as the restaurant is cold, they set the heater but there are drafts coming from the windows and walls. We go often and we always have a great time! ?“
“Amazing little spot. Was recommended to me by my sister-in-law. Service was great. I asked the server to surprise me with wines he thought I would like and all 3 glasses that I tried were stellar and unique in their own way. I’m a wine nerd so I really appreciated learning about each wine. Cheers!“
“Absolutely winning concept. Good organic wines that you can taste in order to choose wisely. Very kind. A beautiful, dynamic, dedicated and attentive team. You feel good there as soon as you enter. A big thank you to Vincent ? it feels good to go out to a place where you feel like you can just be yourself?“
“My friend and I went to eat and the truth is that the service was number one, excellent with the young Salvador, he is a loving person, my respects and only for that reason we will return more often, the only bad thing is that he only works on Fridays and that is a shame.Luckily, the Tuesday we arrived I was there because I was replacing a colleague.“
“Incredible service from the staff at Speakeasy this evening, great attitude, knowledge of our names (for a large group), fast and diligent service. Very good cocktailsAmazing DJ for musicVery very good food, only point, average portions (at least for my tartare, I would have liked to have a little more) fast serviceThank you all and see you soon “
“Nous avons fait un excellent 5/7 hier soir, le 26 novembre. Le service était d’un professionnalisme a la hauteur d’un 5/5. Fabrice est d’une élégance exceptionnelle. Ca fait du bien de vivre une expérience remarquable dans ce quartier.“
“An unforgettable culinary experience in the heart of Italy, without even leaving our city! As soon as we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Julien, the owner, who was also our server. His kindness and passion for authentic Italian cuisine were contagious, and he took the time to explain the menu to us, enriching our experience. The ingredients were exceptionally fresh, each dish demonstrated careful selection and remarkable expertise. Julien graciously offered us the best focaccia freshly made on site and by him. His commitment to uncompromising quality and his generosity are reflected in the flavor of his dishes. The service, impeccable from start to finish, was both professional and comfortingly warm. Julien and his team made us feel special, transforming a simple meal into a memorable evening. This restaurant is a rare find for those looking to savor the true flavors of Italy, delivered with passion and generosity.A huge congratulations to Julien and his team for this exquisite experience. We highly recommend this gem to anyone who loves good Italian food and look forward to returning for other occasions.Vegetarian options: Yes“
“So, this review is a little different from most, because people often come to a place one time experience a good thing and drop a positive review. I on the other hand expect consistency and I am a little on the OCD side, especially when I travel. That just means I find the restaurants that I like and I have been known to eat the same meals two days in a row. One of the things that stands out immediately to me is that for the most part you have the same staff working dinner or evening shifts as you do the brunch on Saturday and Sunday. This makes for long days but it produces consistency. Timeliness and courtesy are number one for the ladies on the floor. Attention to detail is critical to the men on the cookline, as each plate comes out as an arrangement of food, not simply a pile of ingredients. I was in Montreal for a conference from Friday to Sunday so I was able to eat 2 dinners and 2 brunches, and I have to say they were quite exceptional. I do give the brunch a slight tip of the cap for being more consistent of the two meals and having the best consistency with the Big Brunch, the Americano, and the fresh squeezed juice. It is probably one of the best breakfast/brunches I have had since Verviers, Brussels in 2019. The Big Brunch consisted of fried sunny side up eggs, a sausage, fried potatoes with hollandaise, cubed fresh tomato, sourdough toast, fresh Americano, and fresh orange and grapefruit juice. The flavors work together to complement each other with the eggs having been lightly peppered by the chef and maybe fried in the salty fat from the sausage to give them the right amount of seasoning. Dinner the first day I had a beer and a ribeye prepared medium rare with pepper seasoning and a brown gravy accompanying the pureed potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly. The next night I had the charcutier meat with sourdough, which was a nice assortment of the traditional fare one might find. It would have been nice to have found a smaller plate that include both meat and cheese. I did have a bottle of the California 2020 Elizabeth Spencer Cab and it paired well with everything, sometimes a little fruity and others a little spicy depending on how the notes hit the palette. Dinner was the same as the night before, but although the ribeye was ordered medium rare it came out more to medium. That was a little disappointing, but still satisfying in the end. To finish my meal I had the brownie with pecan crumble and sauce which finished off the bottle of Cab perfectly. This morning I had an amazing brunch again, and now I must say adieu as I head to the airport to return home.“
“The « tasting menu » isn’t on the menu but be sure to ask if they offer it that night! You will not regret it if you do, we were so full and for $65 /per person it was an incredible deal. Truly an amazing experience between all the balance of Thai flavours. The only place that I could say is better than my mom’s ?“
“Superb discovery, I loved it! Favorite for the mushroom scallop foie gras ravioli and the lost brioche for dessert ❤️Edit: I went back in 2023 for MTL à table, it was a treat!I had returned there once again before, and it was more in tapas mode, and I found it really subpar compared to the "starter main course meal dessert" formula.“
“We had a lovely time at Pincette and it was definitely a meal to remember! The atmosphere is cozy and stylish at the same time. The service from Michael and Manon was excellent and so friendly. Drinks were delicious (everything we tried was great, with a special shoutout to the French Canadian cocktail). We liked the lobster ravioli so much that we ordered a second plate of it after finishing the first one ^_^ Merci!“
“Unique bar with an European feel. The atmosphere had a soft and cozy ambiance. Staff members were lovely and charming. They were playing music with classic hits during the night I was there, which made for a fun vibe. Their blue hawaii cocktail was delicious (the coconut cream is vegan btw)! Would definitely come back here again.“
“The staff provides great service, a beautiful atmosphere, good choice of wine, hot meal, well cooked and seasoned. The portions are very generous. For all the Karens, you don't go there to eat in 30 minutes, bill paid, take the time to sit down, enjoy a little vino, and don't be stupid, order one in, continue with your bottle, talk, talk, talk, and order you a real Italian dish! Even though the steak and lamb is good, TAKE THEIR PASTA SPECIALTY! Stunning Italian restaurant! WORST NOT SPA TOO SALTY.P.s if you don't eat any serious spa takes to bring.“
“Friendly, helpful service. Pretty attentive. House cocktails, Sous Bois and Fleurs du Mal were nicely crafted and well presented.Very relaxed atmosphere on a Monday, wish the music was louder because it wasn't really memorable. One of the sinks was missing soap and lots of graffiti in the washroom. I know they want to support local artists but not really a fan of the works on display which were all the same style.“
“C'était ma première fois et certainement pas la dernière. La nourriture était vraiment délicieuse, les gnoccis étaient wow et que dire du grill cheese décadent. Le staff ets vraiment friendly, ça donne envie d'y rester toute la soirée, belle carte de vin et de coktails. Allez s'y !“
“Such a quaint and lovely spot for a romantic dinner. Fantastic atmosphere for a date night, definitely. Food was delicious and very well seasoned. And the French onion soup was the perfect starter. Staff was delightfully charming and knowledgeable. Ask for a suggestion for the wine pairing and you won’t be disappointed! Went above and beyond to make our night spectacular. Will definitely go again and would absolutely recommend to anyone!“
“Having visited this restaurant several times for lunch, I recently decided to try their breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised by the diversity of the breakfast menu, which I found to be more varied than their lunch offerings. However, I noticed that a majority of the dishes included pork, which might not cater to the dietary preferences of all patrons. The vegetarian omelette I ordered was copious, thoughtfully prepared and delicious. This was a delightful contrast to the lunch options I had tried earlier, which were rather ordinary. One point to note was that tea/coffee, which was included in the price, was not initially offered. After waiting for some time, we had to ask for it, which was a bit of an oversight on the part of the service.Overall, I had a positive experience and look forward to seeing how the menu evolves in the future.Vegetarian options: Some nice vegetarian options are available.Dietary restrictions: A majority of breakfast options include pork.“
“Ended up here out of the blue because the table we had at another restaurant ended earlier than expected and it was pouring rain out! (4 girls who needed more time to catch up)They had space, the environment was beautiful and lovely, and the staff were so kind and knowledgable! We had such a good time! I honestly cannot wait to go back!Already recommended this place to 2 separate out of towners and they are also excited to go!“
“As you arrive, you notice the vintage handrail with lions as supports. You are set for a good start. Once you arrive upstairs, it's crowded with people of all styles, the atmosphere is festive. We also notice all the ingredients in lacto-fermentation near the entrance. We tried the famous fermented fries and it's really a brilliant and delicious idea. All this accompanied by several good beers including their famous Kolsch! I will have to go back to experience their famous terrace“
“We went there last night before a show. The experience was well beyond our expectations. Perfectly executed classic cuisine. Good price, impressively fast service, the staff is warm, attentive and smiling. And what about our server with distinguished suspenders?! He was of rare professionalism and naturalness which made our moment memorable. We highly recommend, and we will definitely return!“
“Went to Mignon a week ago and the service and the food was amazing! The menu is super simple and straight to the point! Really love the ambiance of this place super casual with a fine dining feel! Highly recommend going to Mignon for any occasion!!“
“Lovely ambience and amazing food! Service is incredibly welcoming and professional. Exquisite decor which speaks to the delicacy and quality of the whole experience at Theophile! Don't forget to treat yourself with the unique cocktails!“
“We celebrated a friend's bday here and it was pretty great. The vibe is very intimate so perfect for a bday or other small group events. The food was very good and they accommodated some of our friends with dietary restrictions. The staff was nice, their specialty drinks were pretty good as well. The music got a little loud for our taste after 11 but I get it they try to have sort of a party vibe even do in my opinion I would keep it lounge as the place really has no dance floor or any space to dance really. Over all cute little spot I would definitely recommend it for small parties if you want an intimate vibe.Dietary restrictions: My friends wanted vegetarian options and they made them a fresh garden salad ? that was very nice.“
“Dietary restrictions: Difficult to find information independently on allergens, staff were committed to helping to verify concerning items.Kid-friendliness: Underwhelmed because there was a lack of flexibility to develop kid friendly (and kid sized) options at a lower rate, especially considering the allergy work arounds we had as well.“
“Absolutely wonderful experience. Service was fantastic (we sat at the bar because all the tables were taken, still full menu service). Menu is amazing. Entire page of options for gluten sensitive individuals. Had the cauliflower crust pizza and it was amazing. Highly recommend.“
“Philemon est phenomenal! I cannot say enough good. Booked a dinner reservation on New Year's Eve; the meal was lovely and certainly worth the 35$. The wait staff was beyond kind, even after the place turned into nightclub form and became packed and chaotic. The bar gave us a free shot to start, which made my night, and had all my friends enamoured with my selection, so a massive thank you to whomever did that. By the midnight countdown, everyone was tipsy, dancing, and happy—I could not think of a better atmosphere to begin my 2024 with. So thank you, Philemon, merci beaucoup, and I hope to return someday if I'm ever in town again.“
“Really a nice place to go for dinner. The menu is simple and delicious. Try the deer medallions, a delight. The cocktails are sought after and the service is great! The decoration is reminiscent of French bistros. The only downside is parking which is not the responsibility of the restaurant. I love it and I'm definitely going back.“
