“A small hole in the wall place. It was much smaller inside than I thought. The staff working greeted us as soon as we walked in the door. They’re were attentive and friendly. The food was good. Loved the mashed potatoes. Food came out quickly. Besides the place being old and needing some reno, it was pleasant experience. We walked out stuffed!“
“2024 dine in: attentive service, mushroom toast and Atlantic Benedict were well presented just needed a little salt. They really should replace their hanging sign since it's illegible. Excellent music.2022 Delivery: everything was simple but delicious. Got the French toast with blueberries bananas and cream, the almond mousse which was light and fluffy, matcha latte, and Bognettes which were nice and crispy.“
“I’ve tried many of the dishes and each time I am over the moon! You can feel the love in every bite. The atmosphere is cozy and the playlist is always perfect to set the vibe. The server Alejandro is absolutely wonderful. 10/10 would recommend!“
“We went to brunch on a Saturday morning on a whim and I don't regret it. First of all I would like to highlight Elliot’s impeccable service. A helpful, patient, courteous and smiling young man! It allowed us to have a lovely morning at the restaurant. In terms of atmosphere, the background music was very pleasant, I think it was a mix of old school R&B! Not too strong, just perfect. The caramel lattes were delicious, the breakfast poutine and the French toast were delicious! Perfect place to spend a beautiful, super cozy winter day! I highly recommend!?“
“Very good brunch restaurant! The menu changes every two months, so it creates a lot of variety. The food is excellent, as is the service. On the other hand, the restaurant is relatively small, so you have to arrive early otherwise the wait can be long.“
“This gem in Montreal is my absolute go-to for outstanding breakfast, striking that perfect note of Parisian flair minus the side-eye. But here's a heads-up: they don't do reservations but it's worth every minute you might spend waiting. Breakfast was beautiful and healthy fresh not hidden under a questionable mystery sauce. They even swapped out the heart attack-inducing white salt for Himalayan pink salt – who thinks of these details? Aex, the epitome of hospitality does! We'll be back.“
Doesn't look like much from the outside but our AirBnB hosts strongly recommended it to we gave it a whirl. Family atmosphere, service with a small (special mention for Marie and her DMs), huge portions that you swear you'll never manage but it's all so tasty, you give it your best shot. Great value for money. We finished around 9h30 and didn't feel ready to eat until the evening AFTER a climbing session, so we saved on lunch / snacks! We're going back because we only skimmed the (vast) menu.“
“We discovered the egg maker for the first time on Saturday February 17, 2024.And simply AMAZING ?We were welcomed with kindness and professionalism by PEDRO who gave us our table and it was ANNA who took over and who took very good care of us and who gave us very good advice. The place is very clean, cozy, the perfect atmosphere for having a good brunch or breakfast ?We went there almost the entire week we stayed in Montreal and we discovered DAVID who also took very good care of us.Everything was perfect, we recommend the mountain egg maker without hesitation and we will come back to see you!YOU CAN GO THERE WITH COMPLETE SERENITY FOR YOUR BREAKFAST OR LUNCH ?see you soon Flora and Al ❤️“
“I recommend the place.Pros:-Great brunch options.-The dishes we ordered tasted really good, and the portions are very decent.-The cocktail that comes with the brunch was nice and original.Note:-The service was adequate with a slightly long waiting time, but understandable as the place was busy when we went.“
“The best service at a breakfast spot I’ve had in a long time and great spot if you don’t want to cook breakfast at home.I got served by Donatien and him and his team were all amazing, my coffee and water were never empty and I was drinking a LOT.Only thing that was kind of funny was how the news was on TV and the whole time it was Gaza and political news. I didn’t care and thought it was funny but not the first thing I’d put on haha. Don’t blame them though it seemed pretty busy/chaotic and the team still did GREAT.I don’t usually write reviews but I came here after I ran 30k today and it REALLY hit the spot.“
“We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch, which was very generous in portions (tasty leftovers ?). They offer a very large food and drink menu, including excellent coffee, smoothies and juices. It would be a great place to eat with kids.Vegetarian options: They had a number of vegetarian options.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: The washrooms are in the basement and are not wheelchair accessible.“
“Great brunch spot in the plateau. Has an old school diner vibe, with an open kitchen. Went with friends who had a classic breakfast plate, eggs Benedict on bagel. Portions were quite large and everything was delicious. Ordered a large latte and it was humongous! Be forewarned it’s not a regular cafe large size. I will say the staff were very friendly, but a bit short on the Sunday we were there. Arrived at 11, waiting about 5-10 minutes for a table. It took a while to take our orders, but the food arrived hot. Will go back for sure, but will go earlier :)“
“Ohhh but this lunch was way too good!I was hesitating between having the waffle and my usual omelette. The chocolate and banana waffle (*and* raspberries, blueberries and whipped cream) plus extra potatoes was an excellent choice. I recommend! In addition, very nice place, not pretentious, bright, radiant (yellow, interior and exterior walls), many seats, tables not too close together, efficient and very nice waitresses, reasonable prices.Thank you very much and see you next time :)“
“Phenomenal experience! Their small menu is a definite sign that they’ve perfected each dish. If you’re going, be sure to get their eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was delicious and the potatoes were perfectly salted. I loved the dressing on the side salad as well, and the hot sauce they gave had a delicious fruity aroma. Just be prepared to wait, as it’s small and quite popular; they don’t take reservations. But we only had to wait 20minutes and the service was quick.“
“I really liked my experience at Universel. We ate there for lunch, and it was really good. I found the portions generous and the ingredients quality. Really quite a bit of choice too.Special mention for our waitress Sarah who was perfectly helpful and very cheerful. That's always a big plus. Fast service too!In any case we will come back.“
“I absolutely adore this diner in Montréal! The spacious layout and ample seating make for a comfortable dining experience. The service is both prompt and welcoming, ensuring a quick turnover of tables. We indulged in the UNIVERSEL BREAKFAST, and the crepes and sausages were definite highlights - bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. The generous portions left us thoroughly satisfied, and the option to personalize the crepes with favorite fruits was a delightful touch. Overall, a fantastic dining experience that guarantees my return on my next trip to Montréal.“
“Bonjour ! 3e visite. Les assiettes sont bien remplis. Pain doré érable & banane flambé goûte le ciel. 9 juin, serveur sympathique. La musique donnait une belle ambiance. Excellente place à déjeuner, choix varié & santé. Merci d'être là.“
“The food is delicious, the place is pleasant and the people who serve do so in a friendly and dedicated manner. Thank you Cora for taking such good care of my daughter, her friend and me!Vegetarian options: I would like them to expand the vegetarian menu“
“Ate two meals here on a recent trip to Montreal. The Beyond Meat Sausage were perfectly cooked, and the crepe delightfully smooth and tasty. A nice hot cup of black tea and friendly service in both languages rounded out a delicious experience.Vegetarian options: Vegan options of Beyond Meat Sausage. Note, the arugula salad came with parmesan on top, easy to dismiss.“
“I recently stumbled upon Orange Cafe, a charming breakfast spot with both a cozy and bustling ambiance. Their menu is deliciously diverse, offering a variety of options to choose from. The service is attentive, and the welcoming atmosphere makes it an ideal place to kickstart your day.“
“The best Allo mon Coco you could find in Montreal. Received the 2023 Leader Ambassador Award! A close-knit team that has been there for a long time. They are not frugal with the quantity on the plates and their Lavender smoothie tastes like Lavender!“
“The food and service are excellent. Taking inflation into account, the prices are affordable for the quality. A small downside; a little too much echo, despite the presence of acoustic tiles on the ceiling. Paper the walls up to a third of the way up and it will be almost perfect. A door with motorized opening would be very appreciated by people in wheelchairs, as would a wall bar in the bathroom.“
“Very good place, well located, a stone's throw from rue Ste Catherine, to taste egg-based cuisine, the menu is varied, the dishes are copious. The waitresses are friendly and attentive, I recommend ?Kid-friendliness: Yes, there is a special menu for children“
“The food was pretty good and served quickly. We weren't rushed to leave. The biggest issue for me was how loud it was in the restaurant. Due to the high ceilings, it made it much louder. The staff was friendly although I felt bad as there was two people clearly out of town from France possibly due to their accent which definitely wasn't Quebecois who kept complaining about their food and or service when in reality nothing was wrong.Would return in the future!“
“Such an amazing selection of brunch options, makes it hard to choose a dish. Always leave the restaurant feeling satisfied. Staff is really friendly and service s really quick. Have been to this restaurant many times and never had a meal that I didn’t like. Portions are always generous. Definitely recommend.“
“Brunch excellent.
“went there on Monday the 3rd of Febwe were staying across the street at the Best WesternHad a late breakfast, the eggs benedict with smoked salmon.it was delicious and the staff was so friendly!I will definitely visit again the next time Im in town.:)“
“Great little spot, friendly staff…the owner was very involved with service, chatting with customers and able to help with the language barrier. We ordered poutines and crepes…both were amazing! Would recommend for a quick and simple meal.“

“It's been a long time since I've been to Cora and I must say that I was very surprised by the new choice of menus there and their diversity. It is worth the trip... Satisfied with the service received and my breakfast served on site... Fast and courteous service.“
“Perfect lunch restaurant in the neighborhood. Hearty, super affordable, and what can I say about the service ?. Manon is a legend of the small homeland, a love with all, it's like we're having lunch at her place. We vote Manon prime minister of Quebec.“
“What was once of the seediest little diners with an eye opening (#1) twist, the charm of Les Princesses of Horchelaga has somehow made it to nearly two decades. One of the most controversial businesses to grace this part of the city, it has stood the test of time all while serving up solid diner fare to the community / tourists alike. For a long time, this was a must visit venue for the various bachelor parties that I would lead in the area. The funniest part of watching men that are half hungover from bar / club hopping the night before perk up as they get their orders taken by the scantily clad staff. The real surprise? The food. It was more than just palatable and it certainly held its own compared to the gimmick that this place was offering. On top of it all, it was stupid cheap. Most things were under $10 and I was all about that $5 breakfast plate and $3 sandwiches. For establishments like this, the food typically takes a back seat. Now that the entertainment portion is over and the inflation, I imagine the prices have skyrocketed to new heights. Speaking of the crowds (or lack thereof) It wasn't just men parading the joint, but I would occasionally see families with young children as well. (#2) I can't comment on progressiveness per se, but I can already see why Montreal (and the rest of Canada) has more than just a leg up (#3) on US society. __________ (#1) And perhaps jaw dropping one too. (#2) Two words: Portland, Oregon. (#3) Punny day.“
“The best, freshest clean juices in the city! If you're looking for a low-sugar cleanse, Rejuice! has a bunch of delicious options and recommendations. I went out of my way to pick up a dozen juices as I headed back to Ontario after visiting my family in Montréal. I feel energized with these juices!Vegetarian options: JuicesDietary restrictions: It's juiceWheelchair accessibility: No stairs“
“Went there for breakfast this morning and been really surprised even since pandemic is over for a couples months now even over a year I'd say all employees were wearing masks even tho they do offer really great and professional service. I got me the triple chocolate pancakes for breakfast with a smoothie strawberry banana which both were delicious. They made me full but not too full as some places sometimes you feel overloaded. Definitely would recommend that place if in the village for breakfast. Also service very quick and efficient.“
“Great and Cozy breakfast place that we've been coming for years almost every week and bringing alot of our friends along with us to discover it. Although we're disapointed that we have never received any kind of courtesy from the restaurant for being loyal customers (because they known it) constantly bringing in new business, not even an extra piece of bacon or a courtesy coffee. Perhaps it's a cultural thing but from where I come from, a little gesture goes a long way.“
“Lovely Place to have breakfast. After spending a beautiful night in Montreal we decided to go to Allô mon coco for some breakfast, service was good but we had to wait in line.It was a moving line so it wasn't a big deal and besides it always crowed at Allô mon coco. They gave us a small table for 4 and we asked one of the ladies if we could switch seats , she said she was going to ask if that was possible. The lady she asked said because we had already placed our order we cant change seats lol. I mean thats very racist, cause we were blacks she said no.So we decided to ask our waiter and he made it possible for us to change our seats.Anyway the food was good as always.Highly recommend this place for breakfast.“
“Classic dinner vibes, got the pancakes after seeing people raving about them and was surprised when I saw they had cottage cheese in them but they did not disappoint. Perfect pairing, absolutely delicious and will 100% be going back to try the brunch“
