“Food was amazing! We drove quite a haul to check this place out as we wanted to try something different and had seen all of their other great reviews. We were very satisfied! The atmosphere is a bit different as it’s a smaller place and most tables are very very close together, where you kind of feel as if you are dining with the tables next to you as well. I do however think that this is common in cities. Our server certainly (and unfortunately) left a bit to be desired, but everyone else we encountered was very kind. All in all we would definitely not hesitate to stop back in as the meal was awesome!“
“Open since 1954, their reputation is well established. The place is frozen in another era. Leather benches take place all along the dining room. Ce restaurant de la Place Versailles est grand et peut donc accommoder d'assez grands groupes. Les plats étaient très bons et chauds. Their pupusas are delicious, their sauces are finger-licking, you can see that there is work put into their sauce because it is not the usual can of tomato juice on the table. “The cream of carrot soup included in the table d'hôte was delicious.I ate a good dish of chicken skewers accompanied by good, well-seasoned Greek potatoes, rice and a house salad.The waitress was kind, smiling and proactive.I really enjoyed my evening where we were able to talk peacefully without hearing the cacophonous noise from certain busy restaurants.“

“Definitely a historic place to experience in the heart of Mile End. Make sure to get the special and try one of their home made sodas, you won't regret it. Prices are low (5$), but the lunch is also light as they define it. Might need two sandwiches each.“
