“Fred gave me excellent service! He is super friendly wow!!I almost didn't come in because of the projector screen. From the outside it looks like it's closed. Especially in February on a Tuesday. From the inside it's nice though...but maybe after midnight it makes you lose people? In any case, super nice place. I'll come back anytime!“

“Ce pub a beau être loin de chez moi, c'est toujours un plaisir de me déplacer pour assister aux soirées quiz le lundi. Le lundi est maintenant ma journée préférée grâce à vous! (quoique le pub reste extrêmement agréable tous les jours de la semaine. Bons choix de bières locales et importées, de cocktails, de repas, etc. Que des éloges pour cette institution! <3“

“It's -13°C/ 8°F outside, one of those days in Montreal where the wind is biting your cheeks and its hard to find something to warm you up. Coming into McKibbins the first thing that hits you is a warm atmosphere with good music(at least towards the end of the evening) that warms your heart. Secondly the food, in my case a wonderful Irish onion soup, warms the body and soul. It's the place to go during the Quebec winter especially, but also when ever you want a good company around you in general.“

“I was in town from the United States for a hockey game and stopped in at this location to find the most lovely bartender tending bar. Leah was my bartender and what a perfect person for the job. She boasts an incredibly bubbly and friendly personality; both talkative and quick witted. Her joy in being given carte blanche at making my cocktails and being able to turn me onto the Caesar cocktail showed her true love for her craft. It would behoove one to visit this bar whilst venturing around Montreal, I assure you won’t be disappointed. Leah, thank you again for your hospitality.“

“The people that complain about grumpy bartenders at a place called.... grumpy's. Wild. In my experience they treat you as you treat them. Be friendly, be fun, be respectful, and you'll get the same in return. My wife and I love stopping in here when we're in town for a couple pints before dinner plans. The regulars around the bar are always fun to chat with. The vibe is always cool and we've gotten great food and music recommendations from the bar tenders.“

“Service was great and I dig the atmosphere. My friends said that the drinks were tasty, though weak. The sweet potato fries seemed a bit pricey, but they were ok.Sadly got there for the late night menu so a lot of the menu is off limits except the deep fried items.Live music was great and at the perfect volume to chat with friends.“
