“Excellent service and excellent Portuguese cuisine. We had the little neck streamers for an appetizer and they were so good my partner had them for her main course as well. I had the sirloin steak which was tender and cooked to perfection. Our server Miguel, was patient, helpful and expedient, and the dining area atmosphere was cozy. Great experience and definitely will return.Parking: We came at a busy time, but still found parking within a block away.“
“An excellent Portuguese restaurant. We've been here many times, and it's always great. The food was delicious. We had the Caldo Verde soup with Cale and potatoes and some sausage. We also had Portuguese sausage for appetizers. That was amazing, the sausage was tasty, but the sauce was the star 9f the show. Pork cutlets in burgundy sauce and grilled cod with a lot of garlic drenched in olive oil. Fenomenal.“
“This place is definitely a hidden gem. Can get busy during peak times so make sure to call as they take reservations now. If your ordering catering sized portions, the small sizes are huge. If you order the lombinhos, they will ask you if you want them fried or grilled. Most places around here won't ask, but definitely get the fried. The grilled are dry with none of that awesome brown sauce.“
“I have introduced some of my colleagues to traditional Portuguese food too include the fresh fish, home cut fries. Bife, wine, cheeses, espressos, and brandy's. We now visit this place bi-weekly for lunch, they can't get enough of it and neither can I after 20 years living in Washington, DC without the access to these meals. Home cooked styled meals with hard working staff. Favorites are bacalhau a bras, grilled choco, and any grilled fish. Please try the queijo fresco and finish with a delicious espresso accompanied with a Constantino Brandy. Prices are extremely reasonable.“
“Two places to explore, the restaurant and the store. We enjoyed both! At the restaurant, hot food that one can place on plates and dine in, or use the takeout containers. We loaded up on meat, feijoada, sausage and chicken. Everything gets weighted at the end. There are plenty of tables and the restaurant is accessible. Street parking was easy. The store is smaller and one can buy brasilian supplies (even clothing) and (what we were looking for) salgadinhos. We enjoyed some hot, made fresh, but took most of the food home to eat later.Everything heated up well.Delicious!!“
