Food was amazing, service was excellent, atmosphere was adorable... so why 4 stars? After such a nice experience, having to figure out the bill for 6 individual diners really detracted from the experience. We passed the slip around, scribbled notes on scrap paper collected cards and cash and then the server was unable to figure it out. Our bill was over $300. You go to the Clarke Cooke for the atmosphere, because you can get better tasting food and a lower prices elsewhere in Newport.I been going there 3-5x a year for the past 10 years and it hasn't changed-which is what you want if you enjoy the sailing themed old Newport atmosphere.
