The atmosphere and ambiance of The Red Dory is very nice — not particularly ‘cozy' or warm, but certainly inviting and quite obviously very well managed. We were a party of two couples / four and although we had a very nice table location for 4, it was difficult at times to even hear your partner sitting across from you. We had reservations for 7:00 but arrived early at 6:30 expecting to sit at the bar until our table was ready. The bar was full but the host offered to seat us early. We asked for a table near the fireplace and the host graciously gave us one right near it. Service was excellent, food was excellent and plentiful. We've been there many times before and are always happy.

Shout out to Ivy and Mandy who made the four of us feel welcome as walk-in this evening. We are doing a Girls Weekend in Little Compton and after a day of shopping in Newport, needed some sustenance. Jade was our awesome server and had great recommendations and went that extra bit to make our meal special. All our entrees were terrific (salmon, swordfish, steak frites and mussels). Thank you!!!
