“I highly recommend Tavolo! We celebrated my husband’s 50th birthday at the Warwick, RI location and it was fabulous! The entire staff was friendly, professional and so accommodating! The food was outstanding and all of our guests loved the atmosphere in the private room as well! We could not have been more pleased!“
“I recently hosted my sister's baby shower at Maria's Cucina, and it was such an excellent experience! Chris, the owner, scheduled several phone calls with me to ensure we had everything planned to perfection prior to the day, which was especially appreciated as I was planning from out of state. Chris was always kind and professional on our calls, and had great menu recommendations - especially considering our group had unique dietary needs (vegetarian and gluten free). The day of the shower, the staff was also extremely kind, professional, warm, accommodating, and so helpful. The food was delicious (we had an antipast platter and salads to start; our entrees were gluten free carbonara, eggplant parm with pasta, and a chicken parm sandwich with french fries; dessert options were creme brulee (DELICIOUS), tiramisu, lemon cake, and cannolis) , and highly complimented by everyone in attendance. I would host an event here again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much to Chris, and all of the staff!“
“3/9/2024 In the heart of the RI Empire, nestled amidst the mighty Garden City, there stood a humble yet vibrant eatery known for its delectable offerings. The air was filled with the scent of roasted meats and spices, and the bustling of patrons echoed through the cobblestone streets. As the sun dipped below the horizon, a group of colleagues embarked on a journey to this exciting establishment. I had heard whispers of its tapas-style cuisine, promising portions that were not overwhelming but perfectly suited for a satisfying meal. To be honest this is what attracted me to this forbidden experience. The path to the restaurant was uneventful, save for a minor hiccup in the reservation mistake made from someone in our group, swiftly resolved by the gracious hosts. As we entered, our eyes were drawn to the shining sign bearing the restaurant's name, a beacon of Latin flavor in their midst of Cranston, RI. Seated amidst the cozy ambiance, our gazes wandered to the far end of the room, where two familiar faces awaited. Like royalty perched atop Machu Picchu, two coworkers exuded an aura of grandeur, setting the stage for an evening of culinary delights, like a true Quoya and Sapa Inca. As the only Hispanic among them, I found myself bombarded with questions about the menu, each inquiry met with amusement and patience. Our waitress, Regan, a spirited soul from the distant land of Pennsylvania , greeted us with warmth and guided us through the gastronomic journey ahead. With tantalizing ceviches that danced upon our palates and entrees like Lomo Saltado that delighted our senses, the evening unfolded like a symphony of flavors. The kitchen became a stage, alive with the rhythm of knives and the crackle of flames, offering a spectacle to accompany our meal. And then came the pièce de résistance – a chocolate dessert crafted by the talented hands of Grace, a burgeoning pastry chef with dreams as lofty as the mountains themselves. This decadent creation stole the show, leaving our taste buds singing with delight. As the night wore on, conversation flowed like the sacred rivers of the Andes, fueled by sips of margaritas that struck the perfect balance between strength and subtlety. And amidst the laughter and camaraderie, amidst the flavors and aromas that filled the air, we found ourselves transported to a realm where time seemed to stand still, where every moment was savored like the finest delicacy. As if by happenstance, our time at Ceviche Divino felt like bidding farewell to an era. With the clocks set to turn one hour ahead from here on, today felt like a poignant goodbye!I had a blast at this joint, seriously! I'd totally recommend it. The portions aren't ginormous, which is exactly what I was after. I mean, between you and me, I've been to more business meetings than I can count, and I'm all for less food if it means fewer food comas in the boardroom, am I right?“
“Tiny on the inside but packs a mighty oyster punch. No reservations but there’s a standing bar area you can start ordering drinks and oysters from while you wait. Obviously come for the oysters, but stay for the Bulgarian lamb burger!! Also the kimchi brine oyster shooters. Man those things were delicious (and dangerous!!) Also also pickled fried onions. Get those you won’t regret it.“
“We popped in here for an app and drink prior to another reservation, and never wanted to leave! Michael at the bar was so wonderful -- he was kind, knowledgable, and had the perfect service timing. The restaurant seemed great, but Michael is what took it over the top. Thanks for your service, Mike!!!“
“Honestly, you can't go wrong here. Sure, you pay a steeper price but that price gets you quality. Quality drinks, food, service, setting, etc. I'd rather do this once twice a year than a regular spot once a week. It's just different but in a great way.“
“My family and I had dinner here and it was just as close as you’re going to get to dining in Italy. The food is imported from Italy and they have an amazing wine menu, all coming from small vineyards in Italy. There’s no other authentic Italian wine bar on federal hill, and it’s perfect for wine tasting and trying all their amazing Italian small plates. They also have a market next door where you can buy the wines and food you ate! Luigi the manager was also excellent and gave great menu recommendations. Will definitely be back it’s truly an underrated spot on the hill.“
“We attended a Maison Ferrand cognac seminar & tasting the other night at Sapphire & it was such a fun & unique experience for us. The staff at Sapphire (Melissa, Marc, & Shiv), as well as the guest bartender (Vannaluck), went above & beyond to make the experience interactive & memorable. We were greeted immediately with a French 75 made with cognac - Did you know that the original French 75 called for cognac, as well as many other classic cocktails? No? Neither did I. The welcome aperitif was a great lil' treat to kick the night off with. We were given a mini charcuterie selection to keep us busy until the main event, which began about 20 minutes after we arrived. Vannaluck talked us through the history & characteristics of cognac. We were given 3 small pours of different cognacs to taste as well as a serendipitous, bonus mini pour at the end. Throughout the night, the kitchen sent out a variety of tapas that UTILIZED COGNAC. Cognac glaze, reduction, brine, etc. Fascinating! I went in knowing next to nothing about cognac & left with a decent understanding of the spirit. I've always wanted to do something like this, & Sapphire made it extremely accessible. It was also amazingly affordable. I'm really looking forward to more events like this one. Sign me up, please.“
“We went here Easter Day, everywhere else was full(which we expected). We found this place walking to a crosswalk by chance. We were welcomed in. Myself and my son got french toast, my girlfriend got eggs Benedict. When it came out I had a chuckle cause I was not expecting half a loaf of bread. But omg it was so good and light. My girlfriend couldn't stop eating her Benedict although she was full. My son enjoyed his also. The drinks the adults ordered was fantastic and mixed well. My son got chocolate milk. We paid 15$ a plate for the french toast, 22$ for the Benedict and around 12$ for the drinks not the milk though. You get your money's worth. A small place but absolutely worth it. Look at the pics it says it all.“
“This place has now become one of my absolute favorite restraints in all of Providence! It is a quiet, intimate restaurant with a refined appearance. The staff is courteous, efficient and does a great job of explaining the dishes. However, the best part of Oberlin is the amazing, unique selection of dishes. The focaccia was perfectly crunchy and it paired very well with the olive oil. The agnolotti with apple and cauliflower sauce were also to die for! My one critique of the dish is that I wish there was more of it! The portion size wasn't very large, and left me wanting more! Still delicious though!“
“Our foodies group returned, and once again, we had a mixed bag of results. My dishes, the Shaved Brussels Sprouts & Goat cheese, along with the Sesame Seared Tuna Bowl were wonderful. However, the Grilled Wedge salad along with the Stuffed Pork Chop were inconsistent. The salad was delicious, with a bit too much dressing, but it was not a real lettuce 'wedge'. On top of that, the pork chop was not actually stuffed, as it just had the stuffing along its sides and was very dry. The service was really good.“
“We were seated comfortably away from other diners as we were dining early and there was available seating, we very much appreciated that. Billy was our server and a top notch one he was. Pleasantly took care of the necessary questions then followed thru with all required checking and providing and all with a friendly demeanor which we also like. It was our 36th wedding anniversary and we had celebrated at the old Mr. Marcos on the wedding night which is today the Meritage. Upon patiently listening to our story Billy kindly offered a cake "on the house". As nice as the offer was we were both very full having thoroughly enjoyed our baked cod (simple but superb) and a perfectly cooked filet mignon. I am thrilled that the area has a consistently excellent restaurant with affordable prices. There is a nicely varied, eclectic menu which would suit most tastes.“
“What can I say that hasn't been said? Chef Nick and Tracy have made a beautiful, cozy dining room with food that I have never been more impressed with in all my years!! Brunch was just as phenomenal as dinner that's served here!! Take my word, you will 11000% be satisfied!!!!“
“Pleasant atmosphere, courteous workers tending to your taste and owner more than accommodating to their customers. It’s just more than pleasant it’s like eating with family and friends like your home. Exquisite prepped delicious meals. I enjoyed my every visit. It’s like the return to the classic days of yesteryear with a modern flair. Thank you Bacco Vino & Contorni it is truly a pleasure dining with you.“
“Service was exquisite. My wife and I felt like Royalty. The staff and the Manager on duty made our 10th Anniversary feel like we were dining at a royal palace. I can’t say enough but we want to extend our deepest thanks for making our celebration of our life together as memorable as they did.“
“We have been meaning to come here ever since this place opened but somehow only made it recently although we did come once during Covid when it was almost empty and didn't have anything on which to nibble. After a quick glass of wine we went to dine at the Salted Slate which has the same owner.PWB is just the right size and where one can have a conversation without shouting. The bar is decent and the chairs comfortable. The bartender/server was pleasant and kept an eye on all the tables. The two of us ordered small (2oz) glasses of different wines all of which were good. We shared appetizers of four oysters, the duck breast and the tasty Jamon Iberico. Then shared one of the best Pot de Cremes we have ever had.The cheque came to $112 to which we add the tip. It's somewhat expensive but worth it. Nice to have a wine bar in the neighborhood. We will be back.“
“This is a wonderful local neighborhood restaurant. The food is well prepared and the owner is very attentive. There is a nice cozy feel to the place and it's located in a beautiful seaport village. The menu may be somewhat limited compared to the big places but what they do offer is done well. If you want a nice quite romantic evening out Tate's is the place to go. You won't be disappointed.Dr. D.“
“To power through all the obstacles as a small business owner and survive, especially in the restaurant industry, is a testimony to one's strength and dedication to their craft. Truly a delicious, humbling establishment that deserves accolades. Bravo!“
“First time as was in town from Newport to see Little Jagged Pill at PPAC. Bartender (Tim?) was excellent friendly, knowledgeable on menu and made great handcrafted drinks. Manager (she moved here from NYC) was also excellent. I ordered the pork loin special, one of my friends ordered to porchetta over grits (I was a bit jealous as it was amazing. Overall a great experience.“
“Best meal I’ve had in Providence. The Arancini stole the show with stop-the-conversation amazing taste and left me happy for days. Definitely order this. Maybe order two servings. The chef slightly overcooked the Duck Breast, but I really enjoyed the dish overall. I would (will) order them again.Avoid the Foie Gras with jam. The foie gras is sub par — a bit tasteless and bad texture— and the jam completely overpowers the dish. Our server Joey was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable.“
“Had ?? dinner at Trattoria Appia for our last night in Providence, Rhode Island before we headed back to Virginia Beach, Va. I got the SPAGHETTINI CON POLPETTE: Our famous meatballs, house marinara, hand-dipped ricotta and I subbed for their in house fresh made pasta and added grilled chicken and My wife got the LASAGNA DI CARNE: Traditional wood oven baked Neapolitan meat lasagna, house marinara, mozzarella.Dinner & Dessert was Tiramisu absolutely ?!!! My wife had made reservations and when we walked in we were greeted with a smile and seated us immediately. They replace table cloths before new guests arrive every time. Little details like this make us impressed for its cleanliness ?!!!“
“Was there for new year brunch but they wasn’t prepared for the brunch and couldn’t attend the reservations. Hope they do better next time.Parking: Don’t get confused for the signs and park at the right parking space designated.Kid-friendliness: They do have high chair“
“I wish I had taken photos. We tried a new spot, and we're absolutely taken away. This atmosphere was professional and relaxing. The food was amazing and rich with flavor. We ended up sitting at the bar, and the staff was so kind and on top of their game. We are most definitely coming back to this hidden gem!!Vegetarian options: Yasss! They had more options than I would have thought, but the flavor let me tell you!! Amazing ??Parking: The parking around the restaurant is somewhat V shaped but visible to get in and out easy.“
