“This was my 2nd visit, and the seafood has been delicious each time! The seafood boil and salmon were both very good. The portions are just right (enough for leftovers), and the prices are affordable. This restaurant has a charming ambiance, and we loved the waterfront view from our table! The staff was good.“
“We ate twice for brunch at this restaurant each time we stayed at The Beaufort Inn.The hotel gave breakfast voucher to use here and they serve a pretty good breakfast foodI always ordered the veggies omelette and my husband always get the 2 eggs breakfast and a meat, he opted for bacon. The service was okay since this place always busy and the last time we ate there our server was manning the whole second floor so we know she did the best that she can to accommodate every table and our server often stop by to make sure we are doing good.We recommend this place.“
“The ice cream was wonderful!!! I ate the deep dish apple pie + the Hersey's Chocolate on a fresh baked waffle cone. All the ice in made on premise and the service there was like they were family. It's a family owned business, we met the owner pressuring washing the exterior of the building, couldn't have been a nicer man, a person, I would want as a neighbor. Next time I'm in Beaufort, this place I'm going to visit!!I recommend this business!!!!“
“Southern Sweets has such a good diner feel! It adds a retro feel good touch! The food is delicious and there are so many different options to choose from, and the ice cream is delicious and creamy. I highly recommend it! When I went in two young ladies were so kind, had such great customer service, and they were so willing to help me!“
“We went there with but we didn't eat. Was not anything on the menu we would really wanted. Look like the beer selection was good. The place is really dark but I bet that's why they call it. Hemingways it would it would remind you somewhere he would hang “
“Although a smaller place, it will still seat possibly 25 people. Our party of 4 shared a large pizza ? with four toppings, and it was enough for all of us. The decor is very basic. The waitress was efficient, but a bit brusque. We liked how they set the pizza up on a large tray in the center of the table and left us a serving spatula. I found the pizza quite tasty. It was a good, solid place to have a very good pizza.“
“This is a very mixed review. My wife and I had lunch at this restaurant Friday, February 16th ( our 22nd wedding anniversary),I had the shrimp Poboy. My wife had the fried fish Poboy. We both had a mixed greens salad. The fish and the shrimp in both dishes were very good, however. The crispy fish in my wife's poboy was drowned in condiment and quickly became soggy. The baguettes were not done very well. They were cold and looked and tasted uncooked. The two dishes would have been nearly perfect if the kitchen staff had taken the time to toast the baguettes( we were seated at 11am and were one of the first tables to order)First...the women's restroom had not been cleaned ( sink wet, paper towel on floor, toilet paper still in toilet) per my wife. Our server, though friendly was forgetful and inattentive, passing by our table several times and ignoring us right after checking with th table immediately behind ours, also forgetting items in our order. We have dined here previously the food and service were excellent during those visits. I did not penalize our server (tip) for the poor service and spotty food quality, that said.... the view from our table was still very beautiful.“
“We didn't have the best experience at this restaurant. Honestly it was the only restaurant in the area that we were not happy with. We had to wait a really long time before someone even offered to bring us a drink. Then after that it still took a long time for us to order. The waitress was nice and did check on us a few times after we ordered before food arrived. We understand staffing shortages but no one even mentioned of that or that it may take longer when we arrived. Our food was just so so and not really worth the wait. We would not return.“
“We had a family occasion to visit Madison's a few weeks ago with a party of six. We had reservations and the meal had been planned for a while. When the food arrived, we (most of us) were astonished at the small size of a combination platter. I personally had scallops and flounder. I had two TINY strips of flounder, not even the size of a frozen fish stick. What a disappointment. The scallops were also 'marble' size. The price of the meal, with an adult beverage, was over 70.00. The cost nowhere represented what the meal should have been. One of our couples asked if the combination platter was enough to split. The server's answer was "they could eat one of them by themselves." This should have been our warning. Very disappointed in the meal. I have had appetizers larger the two tiny slices of flounder. We return to Beaufort on occasions, as family lives there, but we will NOT return to Madison's.“
“FANTASTIC find! When I tell you I had the best lunch here in recent memory! Scenic location, you can eat outside and view the boats out in the marina. We ordered brussel sprout melt, falafel wrap, fresh juices and an iced matcha latte. We thought it couldn't get better, until that chocolate cupcake! Do yourself a favor and eat here!“
